Enugu state witnessed the best of Arts as the second edition of “Coal City Art Exhibition” Themed UNSPOKEN WORDS took place in the coal city on September 30th to 1st October 2017 at Universal Hotel Enugu.
Coal City Art Exhibition 2nd edition themed Unspoken Words saw visual arts at its peak as 19 artist from across Nigeria showcased over 80 art works in what is seen as the largest art exhibition in the South eastern part of Nigeria.
The artist who exhibited their works are Ebube Onyenwe, Ama Goodness, Charles Marcelo, Collins obijiaku, Ekwueme Nancy Chioma, Jesutofunmi, Kayode Emmanuesl, Lucas Ugo, Eze Kizito, Nnadi Chukwuemeka, Okonkwo Chinedum, Omoloso Olatubosun Korede, Onwuka Modestus, Pascal Ogbuefi, Paul Mbah, Raymond Darlington, Victor Adésólá and sedge.
The exhibition brochure had all the works being exhibited, artists’ names and contact, guest had the brochure as a guild as they get into the exhibition venue.
The 2-day exhibition was declared open by the Enugu State Commissioner of Tourism Hon. Rita Mbah. The exhibitors took her through their various creative works. Day 2 also had the presence of Enugu State Commissioner of Local Government Affairs Hon. Chijioke Adeoga who also supported the exhibition.
The exhibition was later crowned with a surprised visit by Nigeria superstar music Artist PHYNO who also supported the exhibition by purchasing 3 works including one titled ABAKPA.
The organizers GHills Entertainment and Hometouch Studios said the exhibition was bigger than the previous edition and had over 600 guests from within and outside Enugu. The next edition holds in March 2018.
Oarhe Ohis Kelvin the organizer said we are not just doing events or an exhibition we are creating a platform, adding value to exhibitors, art lovers and promoting tourism in Enugu State and Nigeria at large.
