Buhari Plotted Bomb Attack On His Convoy – Asari Dokubo

A former militant leader, Dokubo-Asari, yesterday alleged that the bomb attack on former Military Head of State was planned by Buhari himself.

Asari, who spoke to journalists yesterday in Abuja, said Buhari and his group would fail in their conspiracy and desperation to take over power from President Goodluck Jonathan now, in 2015 or whenever.

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, NDPSF, lambasted the three-time presidential aspirant for going as far as masterminding an attack that murdered scores of innocent Nigerians.

He claimed to know the Northern leader so well, saying that Buhari was not known to be driven in a bullet-proof car prior to the incident and that the use of an armoured jeep in his motorcade started recently.

The former President of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, reiterated the position of the Niger Delta region, that President Jonathan must contest in 2015.

He advised opponents of the Peoples Democratic Party-led government to refrain from their consistent attacks, saying that such would not deter the current national leadership from delivering its Transformation Agenda to Nigerians.

Christina wore an adorable, white dress, while her rapper protectively guided her out of the restaurant.

“It is totally true,” a source tells Us Weekly . “They are hooking up.”

This isn’t the first time that Christina and Lil Wayne have been spotted out together. At the ESPY Awards on July 16, they were spotted holding hands.

ELECTIONS: APC Has A Message A For President Jonathan

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked President Jonathan to put his words about free and fair elections in the country into concrete actions and ensure that the elections are not marred by the intimidation and harassment of opposition party members and supporters.

This was made known in a statement issued in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed asking the president to prevent deliberate disenfranchisement of voters, which hallmarked the Anambra and Ekiti gubernatorial elections, among others during the election.

According to the statement: ”On the same day the President’s latest assurances of a free, fair, credible and transparent elections in 2015 were being reported, agents of the Jonathan-led federal government were ransacking the offices of a company hired to carry out an opinion poll for Osun State ahead of the 9 Aug. gubernatorial election.

”If the opposition can no longer freely carry out opinion polls, if the companies hired to carry out such polls are harassed and intimidated by SSS officials as they did to tnsrms, the offices of which were searched for six hours, after which top officials of the firm were dragged to the SSS offices in Shangisha and computers carted away, then how can any President convince anyone that free and fair elections can be held under his watch?

”If the Ngozi Okonjo Iweala-linked NOI polling firm has never been harassed for its choreographed opinion polls that favour the Jonathan Administration, why should other firms be subjected to the kind of Gestapo- tactics that tnsrms was exposed to? This is why we are asking President Jonathan to walk to talk,” APC said.

The party said that already, the foundation was being laid to rig next month’s governorship election in Osun at source, as INEC has been frustrating attempts by APC members to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards, even as the PDP has continued to boast that it will again use the military to illegally shut down the state and bully the opposition in Osun, just like it did in Ekiti.

Jonathan Didn’t Tell Parents Anything New – Chibok Community

Members of Chibok community in Borno State from where the over 200 secondary schoolgirls were abducted over three months ago, have lamented that even though it took the Presidency over 99 days, after the incident to meet with the parents of the girls, nothing new was said at the meeting.

“We all waited patiently for the parents to come and tell us something new concerning the girls but the poor parents rather returned home more confused”, said one Malam Musa, a native of Chibok, who resides in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Musa said all that they expected to hear from the returned parents was how soon the rescue efforts will be and not what the government would do for them if they eventually got rescued.

He argued that similar assurances were given to them by Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, when he met with some 25 escaped girls as well as some of their parents in early June this year at Government House, Maiduguri, all to no avail.

“Our concern is the rescue of the girls whom we fear that their continued stay in the captivity of the terrorists may cause them a lot of physical and psychological harm, and not what the government would do if they eventually got rescued.

“I think there was nothing new which Mr President told the parents and some of the girls at Aso Rock because all those promises made to them had been made about two months ago by Borno State governor who said about N150 million had been set aside by the state government as part of what was to be spent on the girls while the rest would be expended on those in captivity should they eventually get rescued”.

“I think the real issue is not what would be done to assist them, but what is being done to free them which is more important because the longer these young girls stay in captivity, the dangerous it might turn out to be should they eventually return home. If it is what would be done after the rescue, it is not a cheering news as far as we are concerned”, Musa said.
