Kennis Music says Jaywon still owes them 2 more albums

Kennis Music has reacted to a recent Jaywon interview, stating that contrary to the recording artiste’s alleged exit, he won’t be leaving anytime soon.

Jaywon had in an August interview with HipTV declared his intentions to walk away from the label he signed with in 2009. NET in March 2013, reported that Jaywon would be leaving shortly after his contract ends.

But a recent statement from Kennis shows Jaywon will be having a tough time trying to severe ties.

Kennis explains that the Kogi State artiste signed a deal which should produce three albums. He’s so far released just one (Meet Jaywon, 2010)

‘For record purposes and the future, no one on Kennis Music signed a 1 Album deal; however, Jaywon signed for 3 full Albums with only one out (Meet Jaywon)‘, part of the statement read.

Kennis Music says they are not looking at extending their contract with Jaywon.

Two Women Raped By Teenagers At A Purblic Park

Two women were raped by a gang on teenage boys in Kosciuszko Park in Wilmington, DE

Two women, 24 and 32, were attacked and raped in Wilmington, Delaware’s Kosciuszko Park when a gang of nearly a dozen teenage boys approached them sitting in the park.

The women were assaulted by the group of 10 to 12 African American juveniles, all of whom fled from the scene and have not yet been apprehended.

The attack occurred in the early evening while it was still light out, however there are no witnesses to the crime at this time.

Though they have yet to be caught, the teenage perpetrators are believed to be African American and between the ages of 12 and 17. Yet, other than that the police have very little information to go on, according to NBC 10.

The police were alerted to the crime which occurred at 6:54PM after they received a 911 call reporting the abuse of the women Delaware Online reported.

After arriving on scene the police were unable to find the perpetrators or any eye witnesses to the crime, despite the small park being surrounded by residential homes.

Neighbors and local officials rallied in the park to show their support of the victims and intolerance for this kind of crime in their neighborhood

The two women where rushed to the hospital where they were just released Friday night.

In the days following the rapes neighbors and local city officials gathered to rally their support being the victims, CBS 3 Philly reported.

‘It disturbs me that you have 10 to 12 juveniles committing such a heinous act in a park where children should be playing,’ Sherry Dorsey-Walker Sixth District Council Member said at a press conference broadcast by the station.

The crime (which happened at this location in the park) occurred in the early evening before it was even dark outside

At this time, though the investigation continues, police believe that this was an isolated random act of violence, the television station reported.

Since the incident the police department has increased the number of patrols in and around the park.

Neighbors who live around the park, which is only 4 square blocks in length, told reporters they didn’t hear or see anything at the time of the crime.

Sherry Dorsey-Walker, Sixth District Council Member, spoke out against the not yet apprehended teens for their ‘heinous’ crime

Locals were shocked to hear that this crime occurred.

‘This is a good neighborhood, and I lived around here for a year,’ Baseer Powell, a resident told CBS 3, ‘I’m surprised this happened but its on these kids parents to raise them right.’

Teen Caught Throwing Baby Inside River Arrested

Friday 30th August 2013 – A young teenager was yesterday arrested after she threw her one day old baby into the river claiming not to be able to raise it.

The 17 year old school dropout gave birth to the baby on Wednesday morning and disappeared only to return yesterday without it.

Sources reveal that the teenager was heard complaining of not being able to take care of the baby arguing that she came from a poor background. Her close friends told the media that she expressed concerns regarding the maintenance of the baby and looked disturbed after giving birth.
After she returned without the baby, they got concerned and asked her where the kid was. She first said that the baby was with its father. They pressurized her to take them to the father of the baby and that’s when she said that she had killed it by throwing it into the river.

Angry locals threatened to kill her forcing her to take them to the river where she threw the baby. A search mission was launched and the body was discovered today morning.

The lady is in police custody waiting to be arraigned in court on Monday to answer to murder charges.

Woman Took Her Own Life In Ondo Because Her Husband Refused To Buy Her An Ipad

A 41-year-old woman, Mrs Catherine Sefunmi Urouna, on Saturday, committed suicide by drinking substance suspected to be chemical in protest of her husband's refusal to buy her a ipad device. The family of five were thrown into mourning, even as the neighbours were shocked that a woman who was happily married could take such a nasty decision to take her own life over an ipad. The police in Ondo State are, however, investigating the actual cause of her death.

The 41-year-old woman and mother of two boys and a girl was a senior executive accounting officer in Akure North local government council, Iju/Ita-Ogbolu of Ondo State. She was said to have threatened to kill herself a fortnight ago if the husband didn’t get her an ipad; even as the husband pleaded with her to continue using the Blackberry phone.

"I'd Rather Go And Sale Groundnut In My Village Than Become A Chelsea Player" - Eto'o Said In 2004

**This is a lesson to all of us "never to say never". Benitez once said he will never coach a team like Chelsea but just few months ago, he was begging Chelsea to make him a permanent coach**

Talk about making people eat their words. Ermmm, It seems groundnut business in Samuel Eto'o's village is really dwindling and the 32 year-old striker can't save it.
Sometime 2004, when the going was really good in Barcelona, the most decorated African player of all time made a quote during one of the unending rows between Barcelona and Chelsea.

"I'd rather sell groundnuts in my village than to play for a pathetic team like Chelsea."

Well, he penned a one year deal with the "pathetic" club two days ago.

Good Luck To Samuel Eto'o Anyways...

Woman Kills Husband, Slice His Body And Cooks It

A woman in eastern China murdered her husband and boiled the corpse to cover her tracks after he abused her and her daughter, a report said Saturday.

The woman drugged the man, her second husband, and tortured him for three days in June by withholding food and water and beating him, causing his death, said a report on government-backed news portal Anhui News.

She then dismembered the corpse with a saw and boiled the parts in a pressure cooker to hide the evidence, the report said. It did not detail how she disposed of the cooked flesh afterwards.

The psychological burden of the crime proved too much for her to bear, causing her to lose 14 pounds (6.3 kilograms) and turn herself into police, according to the report.

A police officer in Anhui province’s Lu’an City, where the incident occurred, confirmed the case to AFP but declined to give further details.

HIV Positive Zimbabwean Man Slept With 18 Women In The US, Infects 4, Gets 120 Years Jail Term

A Zimbabwean man in the US has been sentenced to 120 years in jail for knowingly transmitting HIV to four west Texas women.

36-year-old Derick Nhekairo pleaded guilty to a multitude of charges including aggravated assault.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Nhekairo had been living in the area since 2000 on an expired student visa.

Midland County prosecutor Laura Nodolf said he slept with 18 women and told none of them he carries the AIDS virus.

Nhekairo was arrested on 6 July 2012, on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury. The victim filed a criminal complaint against Nhekairo in October 2011.

She said she had contracted HIV from him while the two had been sexually involved between June and September 2008. She said he had knowledge he was infected but did not inform her or use safety measures, according to previous Reporter-Telegram records.

When MPD detectives interviewed Nhekairo in June 2012, he said the woman’s “claim that she had gotten the virus from him was probably true,” detectives wrote in the warrant’s narrative.

Texas courts have upheld the criminal charge of reckless or intentionally infecting a victim with HIV under Article 1.07a subsection 17 of the Texas Penal Code and Title 5 section 22.02. Texas is one of 35 states to have prosecuted someone successfully for intentionally and recklessly infecting someone with the HIV virus, according to previous records.

Nkiru Sylvanus Responds To Rumour On Romance With Imo Governor

The ever resolute Nollywood actress, Nkiru Syvalnus has finally broken the long observed silence after she gave out her words on the rumour peddled by rumour-mongers over her alleged romance with the Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha.

Describing the long meted rumour on her as being horrendous and handiwork of disgruntled politicians, the fair-skinned actress in an exclusive interview stated below:

It is unfortunate that people can say such false stories. I’ve been working for this man even before he decided to contest for the gubernatorial election. During the elections in Imo State I was all over the State. I attended every major campaign event for His Excellency, Governor Okorocha.

I was there when he declared his interest to aspire for the office of governor in Imo state. Then, people did not talk about my alleged relationship with him. They saw me on T.V they heard me on the Radio, they saw me take part in the Street Rallies, they saw me at the INEC office in Owerri, yet nobody talked about me being in a relationship with him.
Now that God has made it possible for him to become a governor the rumour mongers have started talking.

All of a sudden, they accuse me of sleeping with a man I look up to as my mentor and father simply because he appointed me as one of his advisers.
Some people in our society find it very hard to believe that a lady can ever get anything on merit, especially in the Nigerian context. Once a lady gets to a top position in government or any other sector in the society and it happens to come from a man, it is often assumed that she is romantically linked to the man.

This mindset of our people is not good at all and it needs to be addressed. I believe that a lot of women out there have got what it takes to arrive at the top without sleeping around with men. But I am not discouraged because I know that it is the hand-work of detractors and disgruntled politicians

I Became Responsible Since I Had My Child – Weird Singer, Terry G Reveals

Gabriel Amanyi is the weird singer that answers the stage name Terry G. The singer, who has a lot of street followers judging from his type of music, recently spoke with Showtime on his lifestyle, music and other issues.

You released your new album few months back. How is the album doing in the market?
At least, it’s selling more than pure water because the reception at the moment, has been very encouraging. Most of the songs in the album are already hits and it’s doing well in the market.

What’s the title of the album?
The album is titled, ‘’Book of Ginger .” It contains over 21 tracks and it’s a diversified album where I took time out to showcase the other side of my career that my fans are not familiar with.

You also launched the album in Abuja, why the choice of Abuja?
You know we had some challenges when I was planning the album launch. I wanted to use Eko Hotel and Suites, but the bill was too expensive for me. I even wanted to partner with some brands but did not work out. I couldn’t afford it so I didn’t want to give up because I have never done an album launch in my life before. That was why I decided to move it to Abuja .

We also learnt that you are planning to tour Europe with your music?
Yes, but it actually has to do with my management who do all the arrangement. They are working on it and I know, it’s an Europe tour. It’s expected to last for nearly a month and it’s going to be fun.

What’s happening to your record label?
So far, I’ve always represented TGP Entertainment Records although I didn’t loud it that much. It’s a label owned by myself and all I do is just to work with my management. I will say we are doing well. As board members, we tried to bring up some brands but there were some issues as at then which came up. Along the line, we are trying to work on other acts apart from mainly just doing collaboration. I think I should do something that would profit me and for now, I am the only one on the label. Although my younger brother is signed to the label for now. I want him to create his own brand as well. For now, we are looking forward to signing on new artistes. This is because it has to do with experience so we will not do something that we will start regretting in future

So what is new about Terry G?
So many things. Now, I have a child; I’m a father. His name is Amaniyi Rex, and with him added to my life, he has given me a new life as a father. And this has made me to see the other side of life. It has put me in my right place because when you are thinking about tomorrow, you will want to be more responsible. His birth has helped me a lot and even helped me to stay away from the negative things of life. Also, I’m now focusing on concert and trying to work on my brand by making it accessible and also trying to shoot musical videos.

Saudi King Lavishes Hillary Clinton With $500K (N81 Million) Worth Of Jewels

Saudi King Abdullah kicked it extremely old school in terms of diplomatic glamour by lavishing then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with $500,000 in white gold jewelry encrusted with rubies and diamonds last year, according to the Federal Register.

While the president and many other ambassadors and politicians received gifts from foreign contacts in 2012, most are valued under $5,000. Half a million in ice? That’s pretty cool. The Constitution specifically prohibits U.S. government employees from accepting presents from kings, princes or foreign heads of state, and all gifts should technically be turned over to the General Services Administration for donation or public use. So if Clinton shows up to the DNC looking like Mr. T, we’ll know something’s amiss.

'Drugs' The Main Reason Why Brymo And Jesse Jagz Left Chocolate City?

Few months ago a civil lawsuit was filed by an employee against Universal Music Group, in the US, for subjecting her to a drug infested environment where artists smoke weed all the time and cannot conduct business without smoking weed. It appears Universal is not the only label with artists who get high . . .

Few months ago, we saw the abrupt departure of Jesse Jagz from Chocolate City Nigeria (CC). Jagz got on Facebook and announced his departure from the leading Nigerian label with no notice to any of its executives or staff. When the label tried to pretend it knew, Jagz got on national television and set the record straight, informing us no one knew. Now, if you all recall, a so called insider informed TheNetng.com, at the time, that one of the basis for the abrupt departure was the excessive use of marijuana, among other things, by Jagz. According to 360nobs, Maikori explained that Jagz’ lyrical contents and music videos, made executives believe he was ‘promoting drugs and nicotine in his music videos’ which was completely contrary to company policies.
This excessive use, among other statements made, was getting in the way of relationships in the CC camp and helping to move business relations forward with Jagz. CC denied the allegations. but. Now, we see that there is indeed a growing or existing drug issue within the CC camp.

Jagz just dropped his first album with Jagz nation, and all i can say is that the album is super tight. That is all that matters for now,his fans loves him.

Indeed Brymo, a CC artist , few months back got on Instagram and shared images of himself smoking a blunt.

He further shared an image of the drug and also confessed to smoking, a “lot” even as he simultaneously posted the image.
This act by Brymo was said to have cost the company some gigs with clients complaining of the artiste’s shameful use of the weed.
Brymo was asked by the label to remove the tweet with the picture but he refused. Rather, he went to same Twitter to announce his exit from Chocolate City.

"I Never Knew I Would Live Up To 50-Years" Health Challenged Nollywood Actress, Ngozi Nwosu

Being 50 ordinarily is a landmark celebration. For Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, there may never be another celebration like it again considering a major health challenge, which could have marred her chance of attaining her golden jubilee. In this interview with MERCY MICHAEL, the Fuji House star actress, who was recently feted to a 3-in-1 party which was graced by top Nollywood celebrities, opens up on her ordeal, the lessons and life at 50.

How do you feel being 50?

I feel young. I’ve always felt young.

Nollywood has decided to fete you at 50. Will you say this is the best birthday you’ve had?

I think this should be the best really. Considering the circumstance, I thank God; I made it to 50, yeah. This should be the best.

When exactly was your birthday?

1st of August.

What did you do that morning?

That morning, I was not in Nigeria. I was in England. I had breakfast in bed – that was after my morning prayer. My girlfriend surprised me by serving me breakfast in bed. And I was like wow! I’ve never had that before. It was nice turning 50, you know (laughs).

Who were those who called to congratulate you?

From midnight, I started receiving calls from people, friends, my family in Nigeria.

Did you ever think you would get to 50?

Well, there was a time I thought I wouldn’t get to 50, but with God all things are possible. And I never gave up and here I am.

You look very pretty, how have you been able to get back to shape?

My dear, it is God. I just thank God.

Why did you conceal your health challenge for a long time?

I don’t think you were here when the doctor was educating us on health issues. As he rightly said, it is nice for you to voice out your problem on time. But to me I felt it was something I could handle on my own. It wasn’t as if I deliberately kept quiet. I was handling it on my own, thinking it will be over soon until God said, ‘no, my daughter, I think I will handle it the best way for you.’ And here I am today.

At a time, there were so many insinuations regarding your state of health. What was the worst thing that was said about you?

My dear, so many silly things; I don’t even want to think about it. I just want to thank God that I’m alive. And to them all, I just want to say thank you because either way they’ve contributed to making me strong and I thank God I’m still alive.

What are some of the lessons you’ve drawn from the experience?

Some of the lessons I have drawn from the experience; I’ve learnt to be myself, believe in God and always help the needy because you don’t know tomorrow. Nobody knows the tomorrow. Today it is my turn. It could be your turn tomorrow. I remember when I went for ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ to play a charity game to raise money for Samanger because his health was failing him.

I thank God I won one million naira for him. But the point is I didn’t know it would be my turn someday. I thank God that when I was called upon for that show I didn’t turn it down. I’ve also learnt that you should never trust in anyone but God because those you believe in will be those that will let you down and it has also shown me the amount of people or the kind of people that will come to your aid when you need them.

This is Africa where people desert you when you have problems. What was your experience in this regard?

I would rather not talk about it. To me, I’m 50, I’m enjoying it to the glory of God and all that is behind me now. They are in the past.

How many more years would you like to spend on earth?

My dear, God should just keep adding it and adding it until He says, ‘my daughter, you’ve finished your work on earth, come home.’

You were spotted recently at a location. Are you hale, hearty and ready to work?

Spotted at a location? No, I’ve only gone to Fuji House. And you know in Fuji House, I play a key role there and they’ve been waiting for me all along. And they’ve run out of episodes, so I had to be there to play a little of my part, just to tell people I’m still alive and I will be back on track, that was why I went to see them before I went back to England.

So, are you fully ready for work now?

Yes, yes, yes but I still need to rest. If at all I have to work now it’s not going to be fully. I’ve not gone back to work fully, no!

I learnt you were on location of Yaws and Mine, that was why I asked that question…

Before I went back to England for my treatment I was there just to see them, because I was actually supposed to be with them on the second season which I told them I couldn’t do at that time as I wasn’t fit to work. So I just went to tell them ‘well done, I’m still with you. I will be back.’

What are things that you cannot do now by virtue of your age and the health challenge you just overcame?

There is nothing I cannot do because of age now, but by virtue of health for now, if you notice you will see that my walking is not really smooth; that I use working stick. That is the only challenge I have for now. I still walk at a slow pace for now, but when I’m back to my normal Ngozi Nwosu certainly there will be nothing stopping me.

What is one special gift that you have received on your birthday?

Well, I have received the grace of God; that is the first special gift. God has given me back my life. I really thank God. I call it the second coming of Ngozi Nwosu. Then the second gift I have received is a wonderful gift of breakfast in bed by my girl friend in England because I had never received that before.

What is your greatest achievement?

Life.

What is your greatest desire from God?

I pray that God should give me long life, not like Metusellah, because I don’t want to live the life that you will be blind, you will be crippled and you will become a nuisance to the society. I want a live long life but I want to be fit; even if I’m 80, 90, or 100. That’s the kind of life I want.

What has life taught you?

Life is a decision and life is by choice.

So many things have changed since the time you travelled and now. You’ve gotten back to shape. How have you been able to achieve that?

I thank God. It is not by might, not by power.

Some of your colleagues who weren’t lucky to get financial assistance passed on, but you were lucky; you had the goodwill and the money came on time. What do you think can be done to prevent these health issues?

That is why I’m happy that my president, Ibinabo Fiberisema, came. I’m glad they now have a health scheme for thespians. I will encourage them to please hook on to that because life is too short. The things we think might be nothing could turn out to be something. I know that from the time I took ill till this time there are so many people that have dropped dead while I went to hell and I’m still standing. That is why I say God has given me a second chance.

Who are your childhood friends?

So many, they are there. Some are gone while some are still hanging in there.

How about in the industry?

Industry? I do not have friends.

Any reason?

When you are rich they are your friends, but when you’re not they are not your friend. Most of them are a flash in the pan.

What’s your take on Nollywood at present?

For now, I can’t say because I haven’t been working for two years. All this problem started with pile, so for almost a year I couldn’t do anything. I was battling with the pile until finally I had an operation and just when I was being myself back, I did one or two jobs before the kidney thing started.

So really I cannot say the state, but from what I am seeing, I think Nollywood is higher yeah! But I want to quickly point out that our script writers are not doing enough work, because most of what I was watching while I was resting were based on one story copied from one English movie or the other, and before you say Jack Robinson you know where it is going to end and I don’t find that interesting.

When it comes to your health, what are the things you want to do differently?

I have learnt that there are so many things you don’t take and especially when one is aging, it is important that you get hooked to a doctor and seek advice because it’s only a doctor and a nutritionist that can actually educate you on what to do and how to take care of yourself properly.

There is the notion that kidney diseases most times have a lot to do with alcohol intake. What is your take on this?

I don’t think it has to do with alcohol. Let’s just pray that we should not be sick. There are so many people out there, even kids that have kidney problems, do kids take alcohol? So it doesn’t have to do with alcohol. Though it may have something to do with it, it doesn’t necessarily have to do with it. Like I said, let’s just pray not to be sick.

What else would you wish for in life?

I wish for the best things of life. In fact, I just wish somebody will come and park the latest car in my house now because this one that we are talking is talk, talk. Somebody should come and park the best car in my house and build a house for me. I don’t want to be like the Nigerian flag designer who almost died before they recognised him. Yes, o! When they are talking about Nollywood, I thank God I’m still alive. I am part of those who made it what it is today.

Your health challenge as it was then made you trend in the media like never before, even till now you are still trending. Would you say it’s a blessing in disguise?

Yes, a big one. It’s a blessing, my dear. To those who felt this was the end of Ngozi Nwosu, I just want to tell them: this is the beginning of Ngozi Nwosu.

''I dont fall in love'' BBA Constestant,Melvin Oduah

In this interview with Punch, Melvin said he will not feature in any reality show again and he does not fall in love easily because he sees love as a gradual process...

Excerpts...

You were attracted to Selly and later to Dillish. Who were you really attracted to?

I don’t fall in love and I didn’t see myself falling in love in the house. Love just doesn’t happen. For me, love is a gradual process. That was why I didn’t ‘toast’ anybody.

First it was Gulder Ultimate Search and later Mr. Nigeria and now Big Brother. Do we see you go into any competition again?

Ah! I have tried o. I am not the only one in Nigeria. I don’t intend to go into any other competition. I would just use this platform I have now to move my career. I have been finishing as a runner up in all this shows. But I am not jinxed. It is not easy to be in this competition. It has a little bit of psychological effect on you but it is all good. That you didn’t finish first doesn’t mean that you are not good enough. I look at the positive side. I will not sulk but I will keep doing what I have to do.

What do you intend to do after now?
I am going to take my acting career to greater heights. I was an actor before I got into the house. I think that my acting career will go up.

JSS 2 Pupil Killed For Stealing Fowl (See Photo)

**SMH...How could someone take the life of a child in place of a fowl?**

This happened in Kenya when a somber mood engulfed Lanet area in Nakuru County following the death of a standard 8 pupil who was lynched after he was caught stealing hens.

The teenage boy who was expected to sit his KCPE exams this year was caught stealing the chicken at a neighbour’s poultry farm. Locals who spoke to the media said that the boy was a truant and disturbed their peace all the time. He could harvest their crops from the farm and threw dirt in a well which served a huge population.

He had sneaked into the neighbour’s farm and stole the hens only to be caught by irate locals who landed on him with stones. They beat him up with all manner of weapons and lynched him.

The area chief who confirmed the incident condemned the act terming it as barbaric. He urged locals to always hand crime suspects to police instead of taking away their lives.

The body was taken to Nakuru Municipal Mortuary for postmortem examination.

orezi.jpg Rising hip-hop star, Orezi returned from South Africa last week where he went on a nation wide tour and shot the video of his hit song, Rihanna. In a chat with Showtime, Orezi narrated his experience especially how he was able to get a Rihanna look alike from Mauritius after a rigorous effort to get the American singing star, did not work out due to her loaded schedule. rihanna-orezi-ngtrends.jpg

According to him, “We had a wonderful time in South Africa, it was truly a rewarding experience and a most educative for me as a very young artiste. At the end, we came out with something that the world will talk about for a long time, the video for the all time popular hit song, Rihanna,” Orezi told Showtime, in Lagos a day after his arrival from South Africa, last week.

When all efforts to get the American super diva, Rihanna to feature in the multi million Naira video did not work out, Orezi and his management team as well as his label, Sprisal Records, went online and decided to shop for a Rihanna look alike. The search finally paid off when a ‘Rihanna’ sent in her entry from Mauritius. This young, beautiful ‘Rihanna’ named Kim was chosen above over 200 pictures. Orezi’s management has decided to stay mum on the cost of bringing this stunning beauty down to the shoot on location in South Africa.

However, an inside source squealed that Orezi’s label paid an initial deposit of 10, 000 dollars to ‘Rihanna’s master card account while her traveling arrangement to Johannesburg, South Africa revealed a Business class from Mauritius, – Israel – Hong Kong – South Africa (little wonder a source close to Orezi’s management said the video is worth N7.3m). Meanwhile, Orezi smiled mischievously when asked if he had a crush on America’s Rihanna. “I like her, I like any pretty woman that has made a mark for herself. I like her and I believe she will like Orezi too when she meets him.” He also cleared the air concerning the record label he is signed on, saying “I am signed on to Sprisal Records and the deal is good.” He also explained why he chose South Africa to shoot his Rihanna video. “I have shot two videos in Nigeria before now but what I want to achieve with the Rihanna video is different.”

Stories about Iyanya and I were mere publicity stunt –Tonto Dike

Tonto DikehSo much have been said about Iyanya and his relationship with Tonto Dike and Yvonne Nelson. On several occasions, Iyanya has been romantically involved with both actresses.
On a television talk show, Rubbing Minds, Iyanya said he would rather marry Genevieve, date Yvonne Nelson and dust Tonto Dike off.
In her reaction to the singer’s statement, the actress who was a guest at that same show last Sunday, said she wasn’t bothered about what Iyanya said. According to her, she hardly knew Iyanya and only loved him as a fan.
Dike said that the news about two of them being an item was untrue, describing the stories as mere publicity stunt.
“It is surprising when I tell people that I don’t really know him. I have met him just once or twice, and I don’t know him. Although I admire his work, I like him and love him as a fan. I don’t know him personally.
“I don’t come out to defend myself; I think people just take advantage of that. I think it was a publicity stunt actually. I did not enjoy it, why would I enjoy the publicity? It is not like I am enjoying it. I saw him last in London when I fell on the stage. My hosting his event in London was all part of the publicity, they just keyed in. It was money; it was work,” she said.
Dike hinted that she had no friends in the industry but she has people she communicates with. She denied ever twitting that Don Jazzy deflowered her and said although they were good friends, she doubts she would work with him anytime soon.

Some fans were curious to know what he said about Waconzy whose club banger, Celebrate put Port Harcourt on the Nigerian music map.
When Saturday Beats got in touch with Burna Boy’s camp, they said that the song was not meant to insult Waconzy in any way.
Burna Boy claimed that Waconzy has had heard the song and that they are good friends. Saturday Beats learnt that Burna Boy did an accapella of the song in Port Harcourt.
Saturday Beats further learnt that the song was produced in 2011 and both singers have now relocated to Lagos alongside their colleagues, Timaya and Duncan Mighty.

I used to scare boys when I was younger –Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde

Omotola JaladeWho would believe that Omotola Jalade, with a backside that would make many men drool, was once a tomboy? Omosexy, as she is popularly called, said she used to scare boys when she was much younger.
In a recent interview she granted a UK-based newspaper, Telegraph, the screen goddess stated that she had two younger brothers and that rubbed off on her making her a tomboy. She said her mother used to make jokes that she would not find a husband, ironically she met her husband when she was 16 years old.
Omosexy said, “I have two younger brothers and was a tomboy, fiercely independent. I used to scare boys from a very young age. They found me too much, because I knew what I wanted and I’d boss them around. In those days my mother would joke that I would never find a husband.”
A daddy’s girl while growing, the star actress said that she was close to her late father who used to treat her like a boy. Her father, a manager of Lagos Country Club, died in an auto crash when she was just twelve years old.
She said, “My father was a different kind of African man. He was very enlightened. He always asked me what I wanted, and encouraged me to speak up. He treated me like a boy.”
Recounting her father’s death, the actress who is often referred to as the Queen of Nollywood said she did not grieve when her father died instead she just bottled everything up inside her. This she said affected her for years.
“I didn’t grieve. When I got home people were telling me that my mother had been crying for days, and that, as the eldest, I had to be strong for her and my brothers. I didn’t know what to do, so I just bottled everything up. It affected me for many years afterwards. I was always very angry.”
Omosexy stated that she later used to play out her repressed grief on camera, using it as an emotional trigger to make herself cry whenever scripts called for it. But this soon created other problems.
“The director would shout, ‘Cut!’ and I’d still be crying. I could bring the tears, but I could not control them. In the end I had to stop using that technique,” she said.

Lagosians Selling their sperm for N50,000

**Guys, Can you sell your sperm for N50,000?**

People get married for different reasons. While some seek companionship in marriage, many go into marriage for procreation. For couples who look forward to having children immediately after marriage, being declared ‘infertile’ by experts is like a death sentence.

While it is generally agreed that it takes two to have a baby and every couple is expected to be in optimum health to have babies, medical experts claim men are having more fertility challenge now. Sperm concentration in men is said to have decreased by a third since 1990s while sperm count is said to have decreased by half over the past 50 years.

Studies are also showing genetic abnormalities in sperm particularly in older men. For men therefore, quantity, quality and motility of spermatozoa are seen as important factors in fertility.

Since the male factor is a prominent cause of infertility in couples, sperm donation has become vital in assisted conception treatment.

A study by the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction stated that “a male factor is solely responsible in about 20 per cent of infertile couples and contributory in another 30 to 40 per cent.”

According to experts, even when sperm numbers are great, a high proportion of men may have DNA damage that significantly impairs the chances of natural conception. Besides, male sperm deteriorates with age the same way it does for women.

Studies have also shown that if a man has poor health, smokes, drinks too much or has a bad diet, it’s very likely his sperms are also going to be unhealthy.

Indeed, investigation by Saturday PUNCH showed that sperm has become a commodity in high demand in Lagos. The Chief Consultant and Head, Obstetrician and Fertility Department, Eko Hospitals, Dr. Adegbite Ogunmokun, said fertility problem, based on recent experience, had tilted more towards the male factor.

He said, “If 10 couples come in, there will be problem with the male in six of them, using our parameter of 20 million sperm per millimetre. But 10 to 15 years ago, maybe about four out of 10 men would have problem.”

Our correspondents, who visited some fertility centres in Lagos, learnt that more men are having low sperm count, thus necessitating the need for more volunteer donors. But because donors are scare, fertility clinics offer as much as N50,000 to men who are interested in selling their sperm.

They also pay more when sellers have special features that the beneficiaries are looking for.

Like blood sellers, investigations show that many people in Lagos, especially students, now sell their sperms anytime they need money.

A student of the University of Lagos, who identified himself as John, said he had sold sperm to a few fertility centres in Lagos. John said he had been funding his education for the past two years with what he earned from selling his sperm.

John said he was introduced to the programme by a friend and that he had in turn brought in two other friends to ‘business’.

“I’ve sold to a number of fertility centres. The money has really helped me to stay in school. It takes care of my tuition and some other personal needs,” John said, with a measure of satisfaction.

“It’s cool money, really and I’m also doing a service to mankind by helping out some people in need. Even friends that I introduced to it have not turned back since then.”

An employee in a Lagos fertility clinic, who identified himself as Olufunsho, told Saturday PUNCH that some women would pay any amount to get a sperm seller with the features they want.

He said, “We pay N50,000 here but there are times when women come in and request that, at all cost, they must get a tall man. The person can earn more when they make such requests, especially if we don’t have any that fits the profile in our bank.

“There was a time a woman came and requested that we get a tall man for her at all cost. I showed her the samples we had, but she did not like the profile. She said she was not satisfied with the heights. And we were unable to get what she wanted from the sellers that came at the time.

“The sellers that came then were either AS, or positive with hepatitis B or had low sperm count. We had up to twelve sellers that came and we were unable to get anybody. In such cases, we could offer a lot more when we find the right person. Sometimes, such people are also in a position to negotiate for what they want.”

Sean Kingston Has Settled Gang Rape Lawsuit

Sean Kingston has settled up with the 22-year-old girl who accused the singer and his former bodyguards of gang rape back in 2010, sources close to Kingston tell TMZ.

Sources tell us, Kingston settled NOT because he's admitting guilt, but because his upcoming tour and new album release will prevent him from focusing his energies on a messy civil trial.
A  sources close to Kingston's team say he paid the alleged victim only a fraction of what she asked for in order to make the lawsuit disappear as soon as possible. They didn't tell us the exact amount of the settlement.

That said, we're told Kingston believes he would have won the case outright if it went to trial ... the same way he dodged criminal charges three years ago.

As one source said, "Her story wasn't consistent. She told various stories throughout her interviews with police. Her friend's story wasn't consistent with hers. The medical report had no indications of force."

As we reported, Kingston acknowledged having sex with the girl -- when she was 19 -- but said the sex was consensual. The lawsuit is expected to be dismissed shortly.
