Juliet Ibrahim To Donate N1M To Benue Flood Victims

Nollywood actress Juliet Ibrahim has announced that she will be donating N1million to the victims of Makurdi, Benue flooding.
According to Juliet she knows what it feels to be a refugee as she 'once lived as a refugee hence knows what it means to work for something and lose it all in the blink of an eye'.

Waking up to news about so many natural disasters happening around the world has been extremely devastating. The most recent ones that struck me were 'Hurricane Harvey' in Houston Texas, the mudslide's in Sierra Leone, and now the flooding in Makurdi. Many families have lost everything, and even worse, many lives have been lost.

I've once lived as a refugee, and I know what it means to work for something, and lose it all in the blink of an eye. Hence my decision today, to donate. Starting with the most recent and nearest, I will be donating the sum of 500,000 Naira and another 500,000 Naira on behalf of The Juliet Ibrahim Foundation, to the Makurdi flood victims.

I am also using this opportunity to challenge my fellow colleagues, friends, and fans to join in. Let's help out by donating to this cause. #MakurdiFloodReliefChallenge
I need my friends to step up to the challenge. Once you've accepted the challenge, simply post or tweet stating you have accepted and then tag those you'd like to challenge. You don't have to announce the amount you are donating. The goal is to raise 10 Million Naira.

Celebrities are doing their bit abroad for the 'Hurricane Harvey' victims, and I pray we can also do it over here for the Makurdi flood victims.

According to public records, police in Raleigh arrested and charged Lucky in April 2016 with possessing a stolen vehicle and eluding arrest.

He also has two misdemeanor charges for interfering with emergency communications and resisting an officer, according to The News & Observer.

Perhaps inevitably, fans are already calling Lucky “Prison Bae,” but O’Bryant was keen to point out that he was held at Wake County Detention Center and not a federal prison ― unlike so-called “hot convict” Jeremy Meeks, who spent two years behind bars following an arrest on weapons and gang charges in 2014.

Meeks has since graced runways across the world in his new role as a professional model.

Woman torments ex-boyfriend by impersonating police

Source: oddity central
A jealous woman was somehow able to control her ex-boyfriend’s life – forbidding him from seeing other women and even going to certain bars – for two years, by posing as police officers and convincing him that he was part of an investigation.

21-year-old Lauren Adderley and Mitchell Lloyd, 22, both from Shrewsbury, UK, were in a romantic relationship for only two months, in 2014, but even though Lloyd made it clear he wanted nothing more to do with her after that, the young woman spent the next two years making his life a living hell.

She put together a sophisticated blackmail plan that was put into motion right after the breakup. Lauren told her ex that she had been the victim of a crime and asked him to provide a statement to the police. He accepted, and was soon contacted by a certain Robert Hay, supposedly a police officer and a friend of Adderley’s family, asking for the statement by email. Little did Mitchell know that Robert Hay was actually an online alias of Lauren’s, and that he would become his biggest nightmare.

After walking home with a female colleague, after a Christmas party, in December 2014, which made Lauren Adderley very upset, Mitchell Lloyd received a threatening email from Robert Hay, asking why he had made his friend upset by seeing other women.

But this was only the beginning of a long and painful road for Mitchell. Soon, Robert Hay started setting curfews for him, effectively banning him from going out to certain pubs and bars on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which pretty much ruined his social life. He was also banned from seeing or even speaking to some of his friends, mostly women, and that failing to comply could result in hefty fines of up to £15,000.

“He abided by this, believing that it was a legitimate order, due to the official wording and the formal terms used,” according to Dafydd Roberts, the prosecutor in charge of this unusual case. “On one occasion, Mr Mitchell wanted to take own mother and his young daughter out for lunch.

They attended a public house together. However, he received an email from Robert Hay saying that he was breaking an order by doing so, and was threatened with a sanction. He was told that he could be fined around £3,000 for wasting police time, and that he would be fined around £15,000 if Laura Adderley’s case did not succeed.”

In order to keep the scam looking legit, Adderley dumped the “Robert Hay” alias, adopting “Darren Clarke”, a different police officer who had taken over the case, due to Hay’s personal connection to Lauren Adderley. After a while, the case was turned over to a certain Elaine Thomas, a “senior police officer”, and the nightmare continued.

As if being constantly threatened and pressured by police wasn’t stressful enough, Mitchell Lloyd also had to put up with social media lynching from Lauren Adderley’s friends, whenever he tried getting into another relationship. He would later find out that Lauren herself was behind that as well, posing as her own friends in order to make his life miserable.

Two years into the relentless blackmail, Mitchell Lloyd finally found the courage to tell his friends what he had been going through, and they advised him to go to the police about it. Real officers were immediately able to deduce that the emails he had been receiving were fake, and eventually trace them back to a certain Lauren Adderley, and she was jailed for nine months.

“Lauren Adderley created a complicated fiction of multiple fake profiles interacting with each other to her own satisfaction and reason. She used this sophisticated catfish-style behaviour to completely manipulate the victim’s life, dictating when he could go out, where he could go and controlled his social interaction with other people for over two years,” said Jason Corden-Bowen, District Crown Prosecutor and Domestic Abuse Lead with West Midlands Crown Prosecution Service. “The impact her actions had on the victim’s life cannot be understated and I would like to pay tribute to him for helping bring Adderley to justice.”

This woman’s behaviour is undoubtedly disturbing, but who in their right mind goes along with something like this for two years, only getting contacted by the police by email? Did Mitchell never think it suspicious that he never got a phone call from these officers, not to mention meeting any of them face-to-face?

Ruth Kadiri Does Not Kiss In Movies And Here’s Why

Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has opened to us that she does not kiss in movies and has no intention of doing it anytime soon in the future for any production.

In an interview with Silverbird Television, the actress was talking about the reasons that would make her accept a script. According to the actress, as a script writer that she is, she can identify a good or bad script, and once a script is bad, she tries to not be a part of. The actress went further to state that aside from, the script being good or bad, the script should also not be in contrary to her beliefs as if it is, she will not go for it also.

One of the salient value the actress listed was the fact she wont take a script that requires her to kiss an actor on set. Speaking further, the actress mentioned that she has stuck with this belief for the past for years and best of her knowledge, the decision has not dampened her growth and kissing doesn’t make you go further or lesser as an actor.

To Ruth Kadiri, there’s no point trying to please an audience that does not embrace such attitudes in the first place, so why do it if it is what the people who you’re doing it for doesn’t want it at all? she said that not us.

Ekiti State Governor's Sister Mo Fayose Reveals She Was sexually Abused As A Child

Mo Fayose one of Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose's sister via her Facebook page revealed she was  sexually and physically abused as a little girl.
Mo also told her followers that one of the people who abused her reached out in 2011 and she was able to forgive him, adding reason wy she decided against reporting to the police.

She wrote:

Just looking through my memory archive, & I asked myself this question... Mo, what makes you so mentally strong & stable?
The only answer to that would be the sexual & physical abuse I sustained when I was a child... although it rocked the boat of my sanity for many years, but today, I give God the glory for giving me the strength and love to live again.
Summer 2011, one of the men that sexually abused me messaged me on Facebook & from the bottom of my heart, I forgave him. People that I tell the story to usually tell me that I should have reported him to the police..... but my answer is, will take replace the mental and emotional torture that I've been through???? Or of what use will it be to my life now??? Hell No!!!!
Today, am a very happy girl. I live and take each day as it come. I give unconditional love out and always ensure that I leave a beautiful footprint anywhere i go.. .. plus I get to share my story with those who are truly searching for sanity again.
Remember this fact as you go around this week, forgiveness is for you, not for the person that abused you.. .
Do have a wonderful day and week ....😍😍😍

We Do Not Believe In Same-Sex Marriage - Gay Couple Declare

The idea of a traditional marriage is the true definition of marriage to a gay couple who reside in South Wales.

Ben Rogers and Mark Poidevin from Wollongong, who met on a gay site 15-years ago, have committed their lives to each other but feel they need not legally bind their union . According to them, they want to preserve the "traditional" definition of marriage between a man and a woman.

"If we make one exception for one community, that being the same-sex couples, where does it stop?" Mark Poidevin told ABC's 7.30 program on Monday night.

Mr Poidevin, who is Catholic by faith, said if the Australia same-sex marriage vote goes ahead, it could be the country's "Trump moment" where the result is unexpected.

"This could be the Brexit or Trump moment for Australia, where the polls are saying one thing but you go to the ballot box and people are clearly in another mind, going to vote another way," he said.

Mr Rogers on his part said he has made peace with never being married.

"There’s never been any discrimination with any of our families, or dramas coming our way because of our sexuality. When I first came out I think one of the consequences was giving up marriage and children and things like that."

Mr Poidevin said he used to support same-sex marriage but his partner Rogers convinced him otherwise.

"I just explained to him, 'I don’t think it’s my cup of tea,'" Mr Rogers said. "It’s not something I had ever envisioned."

Several social media users have however blasted the couple for their belief.

"The campaign’s gotten nasty on both sides and I think the comments that I hear are, 'You’re a homophobe if you don’t support gay marriage'," Mr Poidevin said.
"I’m a gay person here that’s coming out and saying, 'Well, no it’s not. It’s your right to have a view, your right to have a view either way and people should be respected. You’re not intolerant if you don’t support a view."

I never said I would walk around naked - Stephanie Benson

Award winning international Jazz Singer, Stephanie Benson annuls social media speculations that she said wouldn't mind walking naked.

"I never said I was going to walk around naked. I was in a television interview with Berla Mundi on GhOne TV talking about breast cancer. I told her it was a medical condition I had to deal with, I had to have life-saving surgeries which included having a mastectomy, the complete removal of my breast tissue and later a reconstruction of breast and nipple.

I said I was not shy showing her because I'm not ashamed of my body. I had performed a dance on a London Theatre stage as Josephine Baker who was the very first black exotic Dancer.

Those were my comments.......then she asked if I would willingly show her and the world my breast for medical purposes I would be ok with it, and I said I don't mind. The word Breast Cancer scares people.

I would want people to know there is life after Cancer....those were my words in response to her questions concerning breast cancer. But my words got misconstrued by some blogs, and they went on to misquote me that I said I was gonna walk around naked. That's not true", Stephanie Benson rebuts.

The 'false publications' have been circulating on social media platforms over the weekend; so she had to respond and rebut such reportage. She urges her fans and the general public to ignore such untrue statements.

Stephanie Benson recently a new single "One More" featuring Samini.
