Baby mama accuses singer, MayD of domestic violence

According to a report on Linda Ikeji’s blog , Nigerian singer, May D has been accused of assault and domestic violence by the mother of his son, Adebola Olowoporoku.

Adebola, who delivered a baby boy for May D in January 2013, narrated how she endured brutal beatings from the singer.

‘My name is Debola. I’m sure you know who I am, you put me on ur blog about 3yrs ago, for tattooing a Nigerian artist’s name on my body. I’m MayD’s baby Mama… I haven’t come here to rant or make noise, but to say some important things that I feel people should know. I will try to make my story as short as possible,’ she wrote to the blogger.
Continuing, she said: ‘I was with MayD for 8 years, which implies we were together from the get-go, before his career began and when nobody knew him obviously. For many years I stayed with him obviously as his girlfriend, supported him, financially, physically and emotionally. Back then, when I was in Babcock, we passed through loads of hurdles together, being that he was struggling and incapable of providing for himself and I was obliged to support him financially.

‘Even when it was extreme, like giving him a semester’s tuition to pay for studio sessions while I stupidly stayed at home, the things we do for love, right? I practically paused my life for him, for us at a point. The sad part about this whole thing is that I never got tired. I did everything that was within my reach. He stopped to cater for his kid a while ago, which I took responsibilities for and started to do diligently.

‘Now, like most relationships, we had major problems which included the frequent cheating  and escapades with girls, which I obviously endured as I was consumed by the “main chick” title. Not that I was even getting any good thing in return, he never for one day
acknowledged me, or made me feel like we were in a relationship together. I had no simple freedom to do whatsoever on my own, be it business, friendship, etc.’

According to Debola, that was as good as it gets. ‘The thing I couldn’t cope with was the fact that he beats me up at every slightest opportunity he had, he beats me up like a man, he beats me up so badly in front of our little boy all the time. He assaulted me regularly, I suffered domestic violence in silence, and this last time, he beat me up so badly and I passed out. I saw my life flash right in front of me. I witnessed been close to death, I prayed to survive each time he pounced on me, damaging several properties and breaking diff stuff on my head.

‘This had to be my last experience, as I thought to myself, who will take care of my child for me if I die in his hands? Who will he call mother? Who will stand by him? So, I left the relationship hurriedly, without thinking of how much time, energy, resources that must have been wasted.’

PS (I av my tattoo removed already for those of you that want to comment bullshit) PLS SAY NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE’.

NO ONE IS SWEETER THAN RITA DOMINIC - ACTOR BLOSSOM CHUKWUJEKWU

There is a popular saying, ‘show me your friend and I will tell you who you are.’ This definitely has really helped many to select the kinds of friends they move with as it also helps to define one’s character when in public or in social gathering.

Nollywood award winning actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu, is an example of a humble actor whose personality has earned him several roles that due to conflicts of scripts, he turns down some scripts.

In a recent chat with Encomium, the actor explained that he does not mingle anyhow with people as he selects the set of people he moves with. He stated that he prefers to keep older people as friends because he wants to learn more
as they are wiser, patient and experienced.

While describing those he looks up to in the industry, the actor pointed that the likes of Desmond Elliot, Ramsey Noauh, RMD, Majid Michel and Rita Dominic, were those sets of stars that gives acting its true definition when watched.

“Desmond Elliot, he is hard working and genuine; Ramsey Noauh because he is evergreen; RMD is Nollywood royalty; Majid Michel is simply magical and Rita Dominic, there is none sweeter,” he said.

Listen to Dr Sid’s response to D’banj’s allegations on Mo’hits break up

Many of us has been waiting for this response and we are glad it is finally out. In December 2014, D’banj was a guest on Olisa Adibua’s show ‘The Truth’, where he categorically stated that Dr Sid broke up Mo’hits
records.

Well, Dr Sid, who has been in New York studying at the New York Film Academy, has finally responded to D’banj’s allegation. He was a recent guest on Bouqui’s Place, a radio
show on Rhema House Radio, Los Angeles, anchored by popular Nigerian Female rapper, Bouqui.

On the show, a caller called in to ask Dr Sid to respond to D’banj’s claims, and he said, ‘Obviously there’s a lot of people involved, so there are some things I can’t talk about, but in general, with every beautiful things in life, there are circles, things start and things end. Mo’hits was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had, it’s one of the things that took my career to the next level, and I appreciate every single moment I had in there, things happened, we grew older, and we grew apart, and glory be to God, every single person that was on Mo’hits records is doing well today, and that’s life in general.’

He continued: ‘With regards to someone saying that I am the cause, I just would ask any individual in their right mind to literally think how I can tell a Don Jazzy and Dbanj that have been making millions together to break up It’s not even remotely possible or remotely true. Like I told Bouqui earlier on, I am a team player, I think of the team first before myself, and that’s how I’ve always been in Mo’hits till the end. I fought for the team, and now in Mavin I’m fighting for the team, and I will always fight for the team’.
