PHOTOS: Why Kelly Rowland Stormed OffStage During Performance In Nigeria

Popular singer and former Destiny’s Child member, Kelly Rowland, came into the country last week to attend and perform in Darey’s highly talked about concert.

Well, the concert, Love Like A Movie, was on last night as planned; but it seems things didn’t go down too well for Kelly Rowland during her performance.

The 33 year old star reportedly stormed off the stage angry, only 5 minutes into her performance because of a technical hitch that went down.

It seems the Diva isn’t used to having difficulties with her technical crew because not only did she storm off the stage, she also went straight back to her hotel room.

The good part however, is that things got fixed up, she got a change of heart and returned to the show to complete her performance. All is well that ends well!

With epic performances from Darey Art Alade, Kelly Rowland, Waje, Tiwa Savage, Timi Dakolo, Mo Eazy, Zaina, Eva, Muna among many other acts, the Love Like A Movie series will remain the biggest concert to ever hold in Nigeria.

Majid Michel In Trouble For Supporting Nollywood

Ghanian actor, Majid Michel, has seen himself gathering hate from his own people over a comment where he reportedly made that only the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, truly exists and that their Ghanaian counterpart, Ghollywood, only exist in name.

Michel, who alongside the likes of John Dumelo and Van Vicker, blossomed in Nollywood, allegedly made the comment on HITZ, an entertainment channel which operates under Sound City TV in Nigeria, but his Ghanaian fans have brought out the knives and forks, threatening to cut him into pieces anytime they see him in the country.

This is what Majid said that has drawn the anger of his countrymen:

“There is nothing like Ghollywood, as some Ghanaians have claimed, but there is only Nollywood in Africa.
“It was Nigeria that came up with the whole idea and made it a reality for others to follow.”

The rivalry between Nollywood and Ghollywood is an issue that has raged for some time now but the truth is that most Ghanaian actors have made their names in Nollywood while Nigeria is a second home to many of their artistes like Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah and many others.

Mavin super star,Tiwa Savage was arrested in front of Eko Hotel for removing a policeman’s cap from his head yesterday.

Tiwa had allegedly violated a traffic law, so the policeman stopped her.

Allegedly during the course of their interaction, out of annoyance, Tiwa forcefully removed the officer’s cap and threw it away. She was then arrested and taken away.
