CHRIS BROWN WINS BIG, LIL’ KIM, MISSY ELLIOTT, & DA BRAT REUNITE AT SOULTRAIN AWARDS 2014

The Soul Train Awards 2014 rolled
through Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena on Friday night. Hosted by Wendy Williams, the show celebrated R&B’s past and present stars with show- stopping medleys, reunions, and some all-star tributes.

Chris Brown, who led with seven
nominations , kicked off the show with a dance-heavy medley of his hits including “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” “New Flame,” and “Loyal.” The R&B superstar also went home with the awards for Best Collaboration and Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year for “Loyal.” ’

90s R&B icons Jodeci reunited for the first time in years to perform a nostalgic medley of fan favorites including “Freek’n You,” “Come & Talk to Me,” “Stay,” and “Forever My Lady.” The North Carolina quartet also debuted its new single “Nobody Wins” with help from B.o.B.

Kool & the Gang was honored with the Legend Award and received a star-studded tribute from Tamar Braxton, Joe, Elle Varner, MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh, Tank, and Ma$e, who performed his Kool & The Gang-sampled hit “Feels So Good” with Total’s Kima Raynor and Pamela Long.

Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott, and Da Brat
had the crowd on its feet as they closed out the evening with a performance of their 1996 platinum single “Not Tonight (Remix)” in tribute to Kool & the Gang.

Other performers included Tinashe,
who served up her hit “2 On,” and Nico & Vinz, who went home with Best New Artist. Tamar Braxton hosted the red carpet pre-show.

The Soul Train Awards will air on
Centric and BET on November 30 at 8 p.m.

Nothing Wrong In Acting Gay- Actor Femi Adebayo

His father is a legendary actor, Oga Bellow, but Femi Adebayo has gone from living under the shadow of his father to creating an niche for himself in the Yoruba movie industry.

Just like the likes of Emeka Ike and Ramsey Nouah who are seen as Nollywood lover boys, Femi is one of the leading hunks of the Yoruba films who plays romantic scenes well to a fault.

He also tells whoever cares to listen that he is just an actor who strives to interpret his roles as best as he could and doesn't mind acting gay roles as many times as it comes.

"I can act gay roles. Why not? I can play any role given to me. I don’t have restrictions, as a good actor I must be able to interpret any script given to me. After all it is make-believe, it has nothing to do with who you really are. For an instance, I am a Muslim but I have had to play the role of a pastor many times over," he assured.

In as much as his wife doesn't complain about his job, there is a level of tolerance any woman can manage. Every woman has her threshold of tolerance.

"I am lucky I have a wife who understands my job but I try as much as possible not to overstep my boundaries when it comes to the opposite sex."

He also talks about the most embarrassing thing a female fan has done to him.

"Ah, she jumped on me, kissed me and told me that she had promised herself that whenever she sees me she was going to do that to me. Fortunately, I was with my wife that day and I told her I was sorry and she said it was okay. It’s one of those anxious moments of our job. Before the fan left she apologised to me and to my wife."

I Have No Business With My Son And His Girlfriend - Actress, Shan George

Nollywood actress, Shan George, who is currently still enjoying grand motherhood, says she does not have any business if her grand child was born out of wedlock as she is happy that the child is alive.

The actress stated that some people might see child bearing out of wedlock as an issue but for her, she does not see it as an issue as she does not have any business with her son and his girlfriend.

“I believe that with everything that concerns a human being, it is a matter of their own opinion. My son and his girlfriend in the real sense of it are none of my business,” she said.

Shan stated that what she is more particular about for now is the child which is a blessing to her as she would not have subscribed to the idea of the lady having an abortion, thanking God his son’s girlfriend had a safe delivery.

The label has now officially announced its signing of the 4-time Grammy nominated Afrobeat superstar to an exclusive management deal which comes in the wake of Femi Kuti’s 7th studio album release, No Place for My Dream.

According to Chocolate City’s General Manager, Aibee Abidoye: ‘We love good music here at Chocolate City and are big fans of Femi Kuti and his work- this deal marks another significant milestone in Chocolate City’s development as the leading entertainment company in and around Africa.

The Afrobeat genre has found new interpretation through Femi’s prolific body of work and we believe that through this partnership, we will not only revive the Afrobeat genre (distinct from Afrobeats) as a movement locally but also ensure that it is well positioned internationally and hopefully we can (finally) bring home that much deserved Grammy.’

Femi’s first record was released in 1995 by Tabu/Motown, followed by the release of Shoki Shoki under MCA four years later which went on to garner the sicon of Fela Anikulapo Kuti widespread critical acclaim.

In 2001, Femi collaborated with American artists, Common and Mos Def in a project titled Fight to Win and soon after went on tour in the United States with Jane’s Addiction.

In 2004, he opened the ‘New Afrika Shrine’ where he recorded the live album, Africa Shrine and returned in 2008 with Day by Day, which he followed up with releasing the critically acclaimed, Africa for Africa in 2010 which earned him two Grammy nominations.

Google's List Of World's Most Corrupt Property Owners

Two Nigerians, former Governor of Delta state, James Ibori and former Managing Director of Oceanic Bank, Cecilia Ibru, have made Google’s list of the world’s most corrupt home owners.

They were listed among the owners of valuable property acquired with stolen funds and corrupt means.

Former Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, former President of Zaire, Mobuto Sese Seko, Imelda Marcos, wife of former President of the Philippines and Teodorin Obiang, the son of President Obiang of Equatorial Guinea also made the list.

The Google release wrote:

"One of the most prolific buyers of property on our tour is Cecilia Ibru, the former managing director of Oceanic Bank. She was sentenced to six months in prison for fraud and ordered to hand over $1.2 billion in cash and assets. Authorities seized an incredible 103 properties in the United States, Nigeria, South Africa, Dubai and London.”
