Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

Fergie attending her second baby shower - she must be ready for a lie down now

She's been rushed to hospital for a c-section, reports a US website. Good luck, Fergie!

Use up all your 'lovely lady lumps' jokes now, because Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas is having her first baby right this second, according to TMZ.

The website claims that Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel have rushed to a hospital in LA for a scheduled c-section, and that actor Josh was looking "super-chill" and "chatting to staff in the car park". Theres no time, Josh! Get inside!

The singer will be giving birth and recovering in the same VIP suites as Kim Kardashian, reportedly, so we're sure she'll be fine and relaxed when Black Eyed Peas Apl De Ap and Will.I.Am turn up with flowers.

Fergie and Josh after a recent check up
The Hollywood couple are expecting a boy - their first baby - and earlier this month, Josh said he couldn't wait to meet his son. Talking about his wife, he said: "She's taken really good care of herself, she's happy, she's in great spirits, she looks beautiful and I'm just really proud of her more than anything. And I'm really excited to meet this little dude. I can't wait."

It's about time Fergie gave birth - she has had THREE baby showers , after all.

Good luck, Fergie! We're excited for you. We're sure that, nine months in, you're also excited for this pregnancy to be over as it's very hot in LA right now.

Rugged Prison!!Inside El Salvador's Secretive Prison Pits Full Of Gang Members (See Photos)

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

Not in the Agreement: Under the truce agreement, gang leaders imprisoned with their members are supposed to receive 'intimate visits' in jail - this is clearly not happening **Did I Hear You Say Kirikiri Prison Is Rugged? If i hear... Checkout El Savador's Prison And Think Again...**

Inside El Salvador's secretive prison pits where notorious gangs are crammed together like livestock in cells the size of a shed
New report reveals the shocking conditions that members of El Salvador's violent and bloody MS-13 and M18 gangs are forced to live in
Huddled in holding cells designed for 72-hour stays - some men have been exposed to unsanitary and diseased conditions for over a year
An uneasy truce has existed since March 2012 between the two gangs

Huddled together like cattle in a cage no bigger than a shed some of the men of El Salvador's prison pits have languished in these rancid, disease ridden holding cells for more than a year.

Designed only for temporary 72-hour stays, the sweltering cells, each 12 feet wide and 15 feet tall are crammed with more than 30 people - all veterans of the country's vicious war between the MS-13 and M18 gangs.

Segregated along tribal gang-lines, the men in these inhumane cells are hidden from public view, but one reporter from counter-culture magazine VICE, managed to gain access to throw light on the grizzly conditions they are consigned to spend their days living in.

The uptick in murders in the Central American nation echoes killing rates before the March 2012 truce between the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang and rival Barrio 18.

'We said last year that the truce was fragile and that it could fracture in any moment. Time has proven us right,' Miguel Fortin, Director of the Supreme Court's Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) told local media.

The truce, which is backed by the Catholic Church and the Organization of American States (OAS), aimed to reducing homicide rates of 66 per 100,000 inhabitants in 2011, according to the United Nations, making El Salvador the world's most violent nation.

Both gangs have their roots in Southern California, where young men seeking refuge from Central America's civil wars formed violent gangs on the streets of Los Angeles and its suburbs in the 1980s

Murder Rates: A U.N. report said El Salvador and neighboring Honduras have the highest homicide rates in the world with 66 and 82.1 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively, in 2010

Inhumane Conditions: Killings in El Salvador, which can average 12 to 15 per day, do appear to have declined after the truce was declared in March 2012

Tattoos: The prisoners sport their gang tattoos - which denote the membership of either the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) or Barrio 18 (M18) gangs

Beverly inspired me to read the Bible – Angelo

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

South Africa’s representative at the 2013 Big Brother Africa reality TV show, Angelo Collins, still wonders why Nigerians have been attacking his lover and fellow Housemate, Beverly Osu, for her behaviour while the three month-long event lasted.
Describing Beverly as “one in a million” women, he said on Twitter that the country’s controversial female rep had actually inspired him to read the Bible during the show.
Angelo notes that though South Africans have been showering Beverly with love and affection, her fellow countrymen and women are still bent on castigating her. He urged Nigerians to take her back as one of their own, in spite of their bitterness over the role she played in the MNET-sponsored show.
Beverly had wormed her way into the bad books of some Nigerians for allegedly having sex with Angelo in a bathtub.  A three-minute video clip showing her lying naked on Angelo in the bathtub had gone viral on the Internet and, in the process, sparked outrage among those who viewed the development as un-African and shameful.
Apart from the video clip, a photograph showing both lovebirds in a compromised position under –the bed sheets– circulated widely on social media.
Also, an invitation from US-based soft porn producer, Afrocandy, to star in her upcoming movie seemed to have deepened the general sentiment against Beverly.
While making the offer to the BBA star, Afrocandy had described her as a courageous young woman endowed with lots of guts and the ability to “go naked”, which were the qualities required for her kind of movie productions.
But Angelo, who hinted on Twitter that his mother was ill, took a break from his schedule to counter unfavourable tweets from fans whom he accused of painting Beverly black.
He tweeted, “It’s hard to find genuine people. Beverly is one in a million. She taught me many things and inspired me to read the Bible. She really believed in me. Beverly is not perfect, just like some of us. We are all imperfect in our own ways. Please, my naija people, Beverly is a really great person with a good heart. Please, show her some respect! South Africans love her; Nigerians should do the same thing.’’
But Angelo’s claim that his ‘girlfriend’ had a likeable personality ignited mixed reactions from Nigerians who followed the BBA show to the end.
Some people argued that what transpired between the two housemates under the full glare of cameras in the BBA House, as well as the tell-tale pictures circulating on the social media, hardly portrayed the lovers as having regular Bible study sessions. They accused Angelo of using “sweet words” to cover up the “sins” he committed with Beverly in the House.
However, some fans countered Angelo’s claims on Twitter, saying that his tweets were aimed at saving the face of Beverly. The reader noted, “Bible reading sessions, indeed. Come to think of it, isn’t it written in the Bible that you shouldn’t do what you did in the BBA house, much less doing it for the whole world to see? Guess you missed that part in the Bible. Abeg, you people should get married and atone for your sins a little.”
Some said Angelo was only trying to be sarcastic and he had used the tweets to mock Beverly. According to those who claimed to have followed the show closely, there was no scene where Beverly was sighted or overheard teaching anyone, including Angelo, Bible lessons.
“Is he indirectly mocking her? When did she teach him how to read the Bible? Besides, what would he have said in defence of someone that he shared some intimacy with?  Anyway, I don’t have issues with Beverly,” a reader on kemifilani.com said.
Angelo was asked to speed up his marriage plans for Beverly, if he was truly interested in walking with her down the aisle.
Meanwhile, Beverly returned to Twitter on Thursday, after a three-month break, and tweeted:   “Back and Better. Thank you for the love, support and criticism. One blood, one love, one Africa. I love you guys.’’
As soon as the tweet was launched on the social network, some of her South African fans reached out to her and called her “Mrs. Collins.’’
A Twitter user from South Africa said, “Oh my God! My in-law Beverly Osu is tweeting! SA, stand up! #TeamBengelo. We love you! Your new name is Simamkele it means “We Welcome Her.”
A Nigerian Twitter user, Bode Bruno, also said, “Welcome back! Remember, it’s your life and you rule. Forget the haters. Being the best is all you should do!’

Stella Damasus blasts Lola Alao over single ladies dating married men comment

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

This happened a couple of weeks ago though, but I read it and decided to share.
Lola Alao’s comment in an interview about single ladies dating married men if it makes them happy was something that didn’t go down well with actress Stella Damasus.
Read below what Stella Damasus replied her: -
“Lola Alao are you for real? Why don’t you first find a man to marry you and advise your single friends to go for him? Are you trying to justify that you are dating a married man? Why should another woman’s husband make you happy, Lola? Why are you advising young ladies to covet other peoples property? Are you not supposed to be an amsassador that will affect her environment positively? If the young men out there are not ready, whatever happened to being patient? This advice just shows how irresponsible you are ….I pray that God will never allow that married man you are dating to marry you. May God open his eyes to see you for what you are and may he return home in thanksgiving to his wife. Young ladies please do not listen to this advice..it is from the pit of hell!”

Birthday Party Ends In Tragedy As Jealous Girlfriend Baths Her Lover In Hot Wate

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

A birthday party organised by a student of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Niyi Adelana, ended up in tragedy as his girlfriend bathed him with hot water over a minor disagreement.

The 19-year-old lady simply identified as Yetunde, a National Diploma 1 (NDI) student of Science Laboratory Technology, was said to have lost her temper when her boyfriend invited other ladies to the birthday party. The ugly incident occurred last weekend at Miracle Hall, BHS area in Iree where Yetunde and Adelana reside as off-campus students.

It was gathered that Adelana, who celebrated his birthday last Saturday, invited some of his friends mostly ladies to his birthday party, a situation that did not go down well with Yetunde.   However, when the party ended, Adelana decided to pacify his lover but met a resistance as she out of anger, reportedly poured hot water on him.

The agonising scream from Adelana drew the attention of neighbours to the scene of the incident and he was quickly rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the town.  The matter was later reported to the Police who promptly arrested Yetunde alongside her father for interrogation.

Investigations conducted by The Guardian showed that Adelana received severe burns on his chest, neck and right hand.   According to a source, the victim had shunned Yetunde during the birthday party while attending to other guests but later in the evening, he decided to visit her but the visit turned sour as his lover poured hot water on him out of anger.

Sadly, when the news of Adelana’s ordeal broke, his ailing father was said to have slumped and died after hearing his son’s predicament.   When contacted for reaction, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Tope Abiola said that the incident took place outside the school premises hence the management could not interfere.

He said: “It’s very unfortunate and we sympathise with the victim and his parents. It is a criminal act, the school does not have power over it because the incident happened outside the campus.”

If any lady is so insecure about her man then it is best for her mental help to dump him and remain single as she works on her self confidence.
Sick things are hapening err day...

Flood sweeps away nine-year-old boy

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

Scene of the incident
Fear and uncertainty has enveloped Oke-Ekoro, Sango area of Ogun State, over the whereabouts of a nine-year-old boy, Gbenga Gbadamosi, who was seen being swept away by flood on Tuesday.
It was learnt that the community had experienced a downpour before the incident occurred.
When our correspondent visited the area on Wednesday, youths and other members of the community were seen draining the water in a gully in the area   with the hope of retrieving the body of the youngster. As of 12noon when the exercise was completed, no body was found there.
Our correspondent learnt that Gbenga fell into a canal in the area while attempting to pick his sibling’s slippers which had fallen into the water. It was initially believed that the water in the canal swept Gbenga into the gully.
The community leader, Emmanuel Keshiro, told PUNCH Metro that although the rain fell for a short time, it was quite heavy.
He said, “Gbenga and two of his siblings were coming from their mother’s shop after the rain. They were walking by the edge of the canal, when the slippers of one of them fell into the canal.
“Gbenga, being the first  child, wanted to pick it, but his leg slipped into the canal and the flood swept him away.
“The two siblings were only crying, so nobody knew what happened until they ran to the shop and told their mother. She was the one that raised the alarm.”
Our correspondent visited the scene and observed that the canal passed through the community to connect with another town. Weeds and grass cover up the surface of the gully, which also has sharp pointed edges.
Gbenga’s father, Agunbiade, a driver, said he was at his place of work when he heard the news.
He said his wife had earlier informed him of the rain and he told her to hurry home to look after the children.
“When it was evening, I began to dial her line to know her whereabouts. I discovered it was switched off. Someone later called to inform me that flood had swept my son away. I was shocked.
“Gbenga is my first child and he was a well-behaved and gentle child. I love him so much because even everybody in the area knows him for his quiet conduct. I can’t still believe what is happening now.”
He decried the attitude of the police and the fire service to the situation, which he described as nonchalant.
A resident, Bomi Akintade, said the police merely put up appearance at the community on Tuesday and left the residents to grapple with the crisis.
He said the residents started rescue efforts at 4pm on Tuesday till late into the night and resumed 6am on Wednesday.
He said, “We have employed all means to no avail. This water came from Joju, a neigbouring town. It is unfortunate that the government has not been helpful. It was even the landlords’ association that constructed the bridge over the canal. We will continue to search for the boy.’’
Another resident, Lawal Mansour, said it was the second time in three years, that such tragedy would befall the community.
He appealed for the intervention of the Ogun State Government to help in building a safe water channel.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident. He said, “The case was reported at Ota division.”

For Men – 7 Types Of Ladies You Should Not Date!

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

Dear men, you think you can date any thing in skirt, huh? No, you should not. There are some women that you should not mess around. You should keep them at a distance to avoid getting what you did not bargain for…. Lol. Here, they are:

1. Your ex. It is advisable not to return to a past relationship especially if things did not end well. Yes, we remember our ex, especially when we are lonely but going
back would only last for a short time, only to regret it.

2. Your wife’s best friend. She could be tempting but the end result could destroy everything you have worked hard to build. Never get too close to your wife’s friend no matter what.

3. Your Neighbor. Just because she is next door does not give you the right to go in and out. At first it could be fun but soon, she would be expecting a relationship and questioning who comes visiting and before you know it, she has moved temporarily into your apartment. Best of luck.

4. Women who have bad reputation. Run for cover. I know dating her can be fun, especially if she gives freely to any man that asks. If you can’t be seen with her outside, why stick with her?
5. The gold digger. Stay away from her, unless you want to empty your entire savings. Not only will she expect you to take care of all her needs, but will also pick faults with you and blame you for spending too much time with your family and friends.

6. Your co-worker. Maintain a high level of professionalism at your work place. Maintain only a work related relationship with your female co-workers and don’t go beyond that. Do not give into temptation by asking her out for a drink after work or you would end up starting what you cannot finish.

7. Your friend’s ex. If you value your friendship with your friend, avoid dating his ex. Word will go around your circle of friends and it will do no good to your reputation. Besides, it could strain your relationship. Also, the lady might be trying to get back at him through you. Avoid being used.

For Ladies – 10 Things You Should Never Say To Your Man!!!

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

imagesFIGHTTo keep your relationship healthy and happy, it is advisable to stay away from the following words.
1. “Man up.” This phrase is never, ever appropriate. He is a man. If he’s not meeting your expectations, learn to communicate this clearly and without insult.

2. “We need to talk.” Yes, you should talk to your man. No, you should not warn him that you need to talk about something yet-to-be-described that will likely be uncomfortable. This phrase is the most
likely to shift him into defensive mode. Try a more loving approach and you will surely get better results.

3. “Size doesn’t matter.” If size doesn’t matter, don’t talk about size.

4. “Is she prettier than me?” Or “Do I look fat in this dress?” If the question you are asking him has only one acceptable answer – and if a too-long pause in responding will only feed your insecurities – just trust that his answer would have been the right one and don’t bother to ask it.

5. “You’re just like my ex.” Or “I have had someone better.” You don’t want to be compared to his exes, so don’t compare him to yours. Even if he comes out on top, it’s still an awkward comparison.
6. “Are you really that silly?” Be careful not to use language that belittles your guy. Treat him with respect, even when you are angry or disappointed.

7. “Never mind. I will do it myself.” Don’t dismiss the offers of help from your man. A common love language is an act of service. Don’t deny him the opportunity to serve you. Sometimes it’s nice to feel needed.

8. “I can’t live without you.” Use desperate language with caution, and stay clear of phrases that sound clingy in early stages of the relationship. Let him take the lead when it comes to commitment and promises of a future together.

9. “I am not your mother.” Or “I am just like my mother.” Keep your moms out of it, unless you are actually talking about patterns learned from your respective families of origin.
10. “Nothing is wrong.” Yes, it is. He can’t read your mind. If something is wrong, tell him what’s wrong.

Bizarre! Man Addicted To Stealing, Cuts Off Both His Hands Using A Train!

Thursday, August 29, 2013  News Man  No comments

Egyptian man has sliced off both his hands by placing them in the path of a speeding train to overcome his stealing addiction.
Ali Afifi, 28, was apparently so appalled by his habitual crimes that he took his punishment into his own hands.

His decision was likely to have been drawn from the Islamic teaching of Sharia law - the principles, rules and subsequent punishments that inform every element of life for those who practice Islam.
Mr Afifi said his stealing 'disease' started at a young age, first taking his friend's lunches at primary school. It then escalated to items in shops and until recently he was taking people's mobile phones and gold jewellery.
He said he used to give the money he made from the thefts to children and poor families.

But Mr Afifi was unable to cope with the guilt and decided to cut off his hands to put an end to his compulsive behaviour.
He said he wants to help his local town, improve the buildings and build a youth centre. He also wants to marry but doubts an Egyptian woman would take him because of his history of theft.
