In a bid to increase its usage in Nigeria, Wikipedia has stared Veteran, Nollywood actor Pete Edochie and Kid comedian Emmanualla in two promotional video adverts.

The promotional videos are titled “things come together” and “Emmanuella goes to school”.
Pete Edochie starred as a village Chief in an Eastern community while Emmanulla starred as a pupil who ‘wowed’ a lecturer with her knowledge and got invited to join a class of tertiary institution students.

Emmanuella along with Mark Angel Comedy has for a couple years held social media audience spell bound with her video skits. She is well known for “This is my real face” skit.

The 70 year-old Edochie started his career in broadcasting before moving to the movie industry.

The line has been drawn between Timaya and Eedris Abdulkareem, and it is all thanks to the rapper’s penchant for atacking Nigerian artistes any chance he gets.

Drama started recently when Eedris went on Goldmyne TV to accuse Timaya of trying to be another 2face, and failing. He also talked about the singer having to resort to the reggae genre. Cristiano Ronaldo Splashes $3m on ‘New Animal’…a Bugatti Chiron

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t care much what you think, and just so the point is clear, he’s added a new supercar to his already stunning collection.

Back among the headlines after serving out a five-game domestic ban in Spain, Ronaldo, 32, splashed out around £2.2million ($3million) on a custom made Bugatti Chiron.

As his over 112 million Instagram followers, and millions of other fans already know, it’s the second Bugatti that he’s acquired over the past year, the first burning a $2.4million hole in his sizeable pocket.

The Bugatti Chiron is the latest addition to a fleet of supercars to die for…with an Aston Martin DB9, a Lamborghini, a Rolls Royce and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo amongst others already lining the garage.

Sun reports that Ronaldo was handed the pleasure of test driving the Bugatti Chiron earlier this year and, of course, he didn’t hesitate in opening his cheque book to splash out on the vehicle.

Drama! Azuka Ogujiuba Publishes “Evidence” to Ruin Tonto Dikeh (WATCH)

Azuka Ogujiuba is out to ruin Tonto Dikeh.

The Media Room Hub boss has published a 22-minute video containing ‘evidence’ she says proves that Tonto Dikeh was never physically abused by her husband and was never infected with an STD as claimed, that instead it was Olakunle Churchill who was treated due to the emotional trauma he endured during his brief marriage to Tonto Dikeh.

The video which Azuka titled ““evidence that nullify allegations of abuse reported by Tonto Dikeh as provided by her ex-husband Dr Olakunle Churchill”, also shows footage of Churchill’s house after Tonto had left, and also Azuka’s interview with Ghanaian police regarding the fight between Tonto and Churchill.

This interesting turn comes a day after Tonto Dikeh lashed out at Azuka after the journalist went on Linda Ikeji TV to accuse the actress of slandering her ex-husband Churchill Olakunle. Azuka is not hiding her bias at all and does not apologise for it: she has taken sides with Olakunle and his family.

Kaduna Govt ‘Obtains’ Arrest Warrants for Arewa Youths Behind Igbo Quit Notice

The Kaduna state government on Thursday said it has obtained warrants to arrest the leaders of the Coalition of Arewa Youths which issued a quit notice to all Igbo residents of the northern region of the country earlier in the year.

The Arewa Youths had issued the quit notice from a location in Kaduna and ordered all persons from the south eastern part of the country to leave the north before October 1, 2017. The group also urged northerners living in the south eastern part of the country to also return to the north.

Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai thereafter called on security agencies to arrest the signatories to the quit notice while a number of government officials reiterated similar threats but no arrest has been made till date.

Senior special assistant to the governor on media and publicity, Samuel Aruwan, while addressing a press conference on Thursday said the state government had made necessary applications to court to obtain warrants for the arrest of the Arewa Youth leaders because it considered the issue as very important to maintaining law and order in the state.

“The Kaduna State government notes with commendation the efforts of the residents of our diverse state to uphold peace in their communities.

”The government and the security agencies are working to prevent any threats to this cherished harmony. Vigorous security patrols will continue as part of concrete action to reassure residents and demonstrate that bad behaviour is unwelcome and will not be tolerated.

“When some elements barged into our state capital to deliver an illegal ultimatum to a section of our community, the government condemned it and ordered the arrest of those concerned. The Kaduna State Government followed up with a formal criminal complaint to the police, and has obtained a bench warrant against them,” Aruwan said.

Vanguard reports that the Kaduna state government has promised not to relent on the issue but that remains to be seen as many observers agree that the various levels of government have so far treated the Arewa Youths with kid gloves in comparison to other groups such as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) accused of making divisive statements. The latter group was recently declared a terrorist organisation by the Federal High Court in Abuja at the request of the federal government.

Zahra Buhari Calls Out State Clinic for Diverting ‘N3bn’ Allocation: ‘Where’s the Money?’

Zahra Buhari has taken to her social media page to call out the management of the State House Clinic for diverting the funds allocated for the health centre.

Writing on her SnapChat, the President’s daughter said the clinic is heavily under-equipped and does not having simple drugs, despite the N3bn allocated for the clinic in the 2017 budget.

“Why isn’t there simple paracetamol, gloves, syringes? Why do patients/staff have to buy what they need in the state house clinic?” She said in one post, and in another, added, “More than N3billion budgeted for the State House Clinic and workers there don’t have equipment to work with? Why?”

While Zahra has raised a valid complaint at a time a Nigerian popular dancer, Ijo Chris died after being taken to five different hospitals which sadly did not have oxygen tanks, it is also worthy to note that the “allocation to State House medical centre was reduced drastically from N3.89 billion to N331.7 million” in the 2017 budget, as Herald Newspapers confirmed.

Also worthy of note is the fact that N3.87billion was however allocated for the clinic in the 2016 budget. Thus Zahra’s concerns may still be valid, because the hospital could not possibly have gone derelict in one year, if the N3.87billion allocation was judiciously used in 2016.

22-Year-Old Male Stabs Mother to Death in Edo

Josephine Igbineweka, 55, has been reportedly killed by her youngest child who has been identified as Caleb Obasogie, following her refusal to give him money in Benin, the Capital of Edo State.

According to information gathered, the deceased had spent the night at a neighbour’s house, because her son locked her out for failing to give him money he had demanded.

By morning, Caleb then locked himself and his mother in one of their rooms and stabbed her several times with a broken bottle, until her intestines were ripped out.

The killing is said to have happened at about 8.00am.

Eyewitness say Caleb had already ripped out and dangled his mother’s intestines before neighbours could rush in to rescue her, The Nation reports.

It was learnt that the suspect is a final year student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), while his mother on the other hand, was operating a beer parlour in Benin City up until her demise.

Confirming the incident, DSP Moses Nkombe, the spokesman of Edo State Police Command, disclosed that Caleb had been arrested by the police.

                           
Sadly, there have been other related cases of mothers murdered by their sons. For example, we reported how a man allegedly killed his mother and buried her in a septic tank in Ogun State.

Also, it was reported that a teenager, Agugu Adau, killed his mother over the disappearance of a charm he inherited from his late father in Plateau Sate.

We hope justice is served in madam Igbineweka’s case.
