Day of Yakata Sales: Konga Delivers Nigeria's Biggest Online Sales in One Day

Just a few hours into the launch of ‘Yakata’, Konga’s version of the global ‘Black Friday’, the largest online mall in Nigeria recorded a massive flood of eager shoppers on the site as many Nigerians are leaving no stone unturned in making
away with the biggest deals of the year.

holding for the second year running in preparation for the Christmas and New Year festivities, giving shoppers the opportunity to make massive savings on their purchases.
In addition to these great deals, the company is also giving its customers free deliveries on orders over five thousand naira.

According to the Chief Commercial Officer for Konga, Mr. Mark Russell remarked that, “We received thousands of orders within the first few hours, they have been pouring in from virtually every state in Nigeria and interestingly from several other countries as well. With this trend, the sales figures for Yakata this year would be running well up to 900% of sales from the 2013 Yakata.”

Whilst some of the hottest deals such as the Haier Thermocool 3KVA remote control generator which
sold at a remarkable N53,750 at a discount of almost 60%, the Lenovo A3300 Tablet which sold at N18, 000 instead of N30,000 were rushed by
many customers, there are still thousands of incredible deals up for grabs on Konga.com.

Several fashion brands are selling at up to 50% off and most categories still have items enjoying discounts of up to 70% off. The sales will still run on Friday, 28th November,
2014, allowing more Nigerians the opportunity to make massive savings on their favourite items within this period.

Sad !! Two Of Femi Kuti’s Children Are Not His

Femi Kuti is upset and sad at the moment. According to a DNA test recently carried out by the father of 5 on his children, shows two of them, Dupe and Tosin are not his. 

He revealed this to Encomium few days ago in an interview, regretting why a woman should give him what is not is. 

Here’s how Encomium puts it;

Out of his alleged five children: Made, Afolabi, Dupe, Tosin and Ayomide, two of them, Dupe and Tosin (a boy and a girl) have been discovered not to be his biological children, according to a recent DNA test.  He confessed being disappointed and pained that a woman can actually give someone what does not belong to him.

“I did a DNA test and was told two of the children are not mine. The first two (after Made), a boy and a girl.  It is very serious.  I never knew somebody could give you what is not yours.  I’ve three boys now. I can’t father children I was tricked to believe I am their father,” he lamented.

Because of the betrayal, he returned the two children, Dupe and Tosin, to their mothers.

Funke, his ex-wife, gave birth to his first child and son, Made, who Femi treasures so much. And Bisi Ajala gave birth to Ayomide and one other child that the DNA test recently proved not to be Femi’s.  The third woman’s name was not revealed.

Pharrell Slammed For Calling Micheal Brown's Attitude Before Shooting Bully-ish |Photo

Pharrell Williams has spoken out on Micheal Brown's case but unlike other Black figures, he is singing a different tone.

He told Ebony Magazine he wasn't happy about people overlooking the fact that the late Micheal's attitude was bully-ish ..Following the decision, Pharrell tweeted: 'I'm heartbroken over the news of no indictment in Ferguson. Let's all pray for peace'.

However, many fans slammed him for being two-sided and called him a sell-out.

EBONY: Did you see the video allegedly showing Michael Brown stealing from a convenience store minutes before his death?

WILLIAMS: It looked very bully-ish; that in itself I had a problem with. Not with the kid, but with whatever happened in his life for him to arrive at a place where that behavior is OK. Why aren’t we talking about that?

But he insisted he believed the officer should be punished. He said ;

I believe that Ferguson officer should be punished and serve time. He used excessive force on a human being who was merely a child. He was a baby, man. The boy was walking in the middle of the street when the police supposedly told him to “get the f--k on the sidewalk.” 

If you don’t listen to that, after just having pushed a store owner, you’re asking for trouble. But you’re not asking to be killed. Some of these youth feel hunted and preyed upon, and that’s why that officer needs to be punished.

Police released this surveillance camera footage, reportedly showing Michael Brown grabbing a convenience store owner shortly before he was stopped by Officer Darren Wilson and eventually shot dead.
