Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner Dies at the Age of 91

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is dead.

According to CNBC, the founder of the sexualised magazine died at his Playboy mansion of natural causes.

Hefner founded the popular monthly magazine more than 60 years ago to create a market for men obsessed with the images of nude women, and the magazine also comes loaded with articles, works of fiction and interviews.

Hefner reportedly started this venture with only $600, and later another $1,000 he borrowed from his mother. CNBC added that the first centre of the magazine was the image of the Marilyn Monroe.

Over the years, the magazine grew to become a popular name around the world and would feature known faces of women like Pamela Anderson, and even Donald Trump who rose to become the President of the United States.

“My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom,” said Cooper Hefner, the son of the founder and also Playboy Enterprises’ chief creative officer.

“He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history,” the younger Hefner said.

Back in the 60s and 70s, the magazine championed the sexual revolution. However, in recent times, it began to compete with porn sites online which provided free access to pornography.

By mid-2017 and early 2017, the Hefner tried to erase nudity from his magazine and launch a new path, but it failed to win old loyal fans, and so they returned to what they know best.

Sadly, Hugh Hefner has passed on at the age of 91.

He was survived by his wife, Crystal, his sons, Cooper, David and Marston, and his daughter, Christie.

Liar! Goodluck Jonathan Blasts Okorocha over Inducements Claim

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has rebutted recent claims by Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, that he was offered huge sums of money and other inducements ahead of the 2015 presidential election.

Jonathan’s clapback was contained in a statement Wednesday by his Media Adviser, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, which strongly stated that the former president did not need Okorocha to garner votes in the South East, which he described as his ‘political stronghold’.

“Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to Governor Okorocha, and published by a national newspaper on September 27, 2017, where he was quoted to have said that former President Jonathan offered him an influential ministry and huge sums of money to dump his party ahead of the 2015 elections, which he rejected. We offer to quickly dismiss these claims as lies, because we are clear in our minds that such conversation never happened,” the statement read.

“We are wondering whether this truly came from the governor because we are sure that even Okorocha himself did not believe that anybody would accept these claims. In the first place, it sounded irrational and absurd. Besides, it was obvious to all and sundry that the South East, being Dr. Jonathan’s political stronghold, the ex-President did not need Okorocha to win in the zone.

Jonathan also slammed claims of the offer of a ministerial portfolio as risible, claiming it was evidently out of his character to do so, Vanguard writes.

“The claim of an offer of ‘an influential ministry’ is also quite surprising because the former President was not in the habit of making frivolous promises, especially pertaining to government positions and offices.”

He further called on Okorocha to wake up from his slumber and get down to the important business of delivering the dividends of democracy to his people.

“Since we know that the only proof the purveyors of this bribery allegation could offer is to probably claim that the transaction happened in a dream, we can only offer the governor sincere advice, to avoid rumours, twaddle and get down to the business of result-oriented governance.

“Governor Okorocha would have served his state better, if he directed his enormous drive to creating growth and development opportunities for the good people of Imo State, rather than allowing himself to be drawn into dissipating his energy on platitudes and propaganda.”

Rapper Joe Budden Accuses American Artistes of Exploiting and Cheating Wizkid(Video)

Joe Budden has accused American artistes of ripping off Wizkid’s style and refusing to support him.

This conversation started in popular talk show, Everyday Struggle, where the rapper sat down with Dj Akademiks and other artiste to analyse the Nigeria’s latest style (a fusion of Afrobeats and Carribean sounds) which became popular after Wizkid’s collaboration with Drake on one Dance.

Joe Budden thinks many American artistes are copying the Wizkid’s sounds, and sadly, are not promoting him, are not buying his latest album Sounds From the Other Side.

“Wizkid’s album came out. We’ve never talked about it, and it’s amazing. I don’t think that it is fair that all you niggas can steal Wizkid’s Carribean-fucking steal and flow and songwriting and not buy the fucking album.”

The hosts argued about what’s Carribean sounds and what’s African in Wizkid’s style, and they somehow reached an agreement that Wizkid’s style is not really Caribbean. It is a hybrid, actually.

However, Budden still insisted that Wizkid invented this creation, this fusion, which is being ripped off by American artistes. He insists that it is unfair that they have refused to promote Wizkid as they should.

Messy! Rob Kardashian And Kylie Jenner Sue Blac Chyna For Assault

Rob Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have formed a tag team, slamming the mother of his daughter, Blach Chyna, with a lawsuit, claiming that she assaulted Rob in Kylie’s house last December.

In the document obtained by PEOPLE, the siblings claimed that Chyna attempted to choke Rob with an iPhone charge and punched him in the face during an ‘intense fight’ last December, that both Kylie and Rob were forced to endure “several months of injuries” after Chyna’s “deliberate attempt to extort the Kardashian family for her own monetary gains.”

The siblings went on to say that Chyna’s decision to have a baby with Rob was “nothing short of an outright fraud to shake down the Kardashian family.”

This is all just another level of the depressing drama going on since Chyna and Rob’s relationship failed.

The lawsuit also claimed that Chyna was playing with Rob’s gun whilst he FaceTimed with friends, that she caused $100,000 worth of damage to the house—damages which include a smashed TV, destroyed gingerbread house, and an iPhone.

The accusation went on and on, a depressing long read which includes portions where they called her a ‘former stripper’.

Chyna has yet to react to the claims since it surfaced.

Eagles Will Suppress Zambia’s New Spirit – Mikel Blasts

Super Eagles Captain, John Obi Mikel has brushed aside the threat from Zambia ahead of next month’s 2018 World Cup qualification cracker in Uyo saying the Chipolopolo will be suppressed when they face the Super Eagles on home turf.

Mikel, who has returned to top form for Tianjin TEDA in recent weeks, says though the Zambians will not be pushovers, there’s no chance the Eagles will let qualification slip out of their hands at this crucial point, Vanguard writes.

“I must admit that I applaud the resurgence of the Zambians this late in the qualifiers. Beating Algeria home and away is no mean feat,” Mikel, 30, said.

“We will take them very serious on October 7 because they clearly have a new spirit. It is time we wrap this up.

“We have all shown professionalism, dedication and determination to be at the pole position in a group tagged ‘Group of Death.’ Commendations must go to the entire team and the Coach, but we must finish it up in Uyo and secure our ticket right there.”

Super Eagles stand-in keeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa echoed Mikel’s words, saying it was too late for the Chipolopolo to find their rhythm.

“I think it’s too late for Zambia to start dreaming for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification ticket” Ezenwa said.

“The qualification race commenced at the same time for everyone and here we are at the summit of the group. It will be most unfair for Zambia or any other person to think that we will allow the golden opportunity to slip off our hands.”

Nigeria won the first leg 2-1 in Ndola, and victory on the night will secure a ticket at next year’s World Cup in Russia.
