Chris Brown's fate was in the hands of a Los Angeles judge at a May 9 hearing, which was set to determine whether Chris would be released or required to stay in jail until his Washington D.C. court date in June. And after spending 59 days in prison, the singer was sentenced to at least another four months behind bars.
Chris reportedly admitted in the hearing that he violated his probation by getting into a fight in
Washington D.C. in October 2013.
Washington D.C. in October 2013.
So even though Chris’ D.C. trial is still to come, the judge determined that Chris deserved a year in jail for even being involved in the October altercation.
The Los Angeles judge sentenced Brown to 365 days but gave him credit for 234 days he has spent in rehab and jail. So he won’t be behind bars for a full year — 131 days instead, to be exact.
