Court ends 30-year old marriage of ex Super Eagles coach

The 30-year-old marriage between Chief Festus Adegboye Onigbinde, former super coach and his wife Anne, have been dissolved by a Customary court in Ibadan. The marriage was dissolved on grounds of no more love between the two.

Domestic Violence : Killer walks free after bribing police with buckets of KFC

Police Minister in South Africa, Fikile Mbalula has ordered that a murder case illegally dismissed by re-investigated as detectives are said to be begging the suspect to hand himself in instead of arresting him.

According to Mbalula's spokesman Vuyo Mhaga:

 "The minister . is concerned about the allegations leveled against the police, including the handling of the case. He has ordered that an investigations be carried out to get to the bottom of the matter."

The police are said to be on the on the suspects case following the death of his  Itumeleng Beetha almost two months ago .The deceased was found burnt beyond recognition by her neighbors at her home outside Polokwane last month.

Beetha's family filed another complaint of intimidation stating that the suspect was using the dead woman's cellphone to send messages threatening them to not cooperate with the police.

One of the messages sent ad seen by Sunday World, said:
"You can go wherever you want to go, Money talks. U can do what makes u happy bt long u will cry again."

Limpopo police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe said:

 "[Police] are on the heels of the elusive murder suspect. Allegedly the suspect called the police through his legal representative and promised to come and hand himself over ... which he never did."

The deceased's sister, Maggie, alleges that the suspect bribed police with buckets of KFC.

"We received a call from a policeman who said my late sister's boyfriend was at the police station with two buckets of KFC and they let him leave without arresting him," she said.

Maggie said the family was shocked by the police's inaction in failing to arrest him despite knowing where he lives and works. "It's clear that all the SMSes he sent to us boasting that money talks was true. He certainly bribed someone because they do speak to him but they don't arrest him."

There is no video of Kenneka Jenkins walking into the freezer - Hotel spokesperson reveals

New report surrounding the death of Kanneka Jenkins have emerged as it has been revealed that there is no footage of her actually walking into the freezer.


A spokesperson for a Chicago area hotel told CBS Chicago that no video exists of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins walking into a freezer. The spokesperson revealed that the hotel does ot have any camera pointed towards the freezer.


Kenneka was found dead in the freezer on the lower conference level of the Crowne Plaza O’Hare Hotel and Conference Center in Rosemont, Illinois on Sunday, September 10. She had been partying with friends in a 9th floor hotel room on Friday September 8 then went missing early on Saturday, September 9.

Several conspiracy theories and wild accusations have emerged since her death. Someone also recently released a video using the same type of freezer to prove there is o way Kanneka locked herself in as the freezer can only be shut from outside, thereby insinuating that someone closed her in.

FBI will not investigate Kenneka Jenkins’ case but on Monday, Rosemont police officials announced they would continue investigating Kenneka Jenkins death without support from the FBI.

Wife forgives husband who hacked off her fingers and toes with machete

A wife has chosen to forgive her husband after he hacked off two of her fingers and two of her toes with a machete.

Atinae Afamiliona, 50, launched the repeated and frenzied attack on Tiperia Afamiliona, 45, when she said she wanted to leave him in August last year, according to reports.

The mum-of-three has been left permanently disfigured, having to have several fingers and toes amputated and suffering deep cuts to her hands, arms, feet and legs.

Afamiliona has been jailed for nine years with six years non-parole for the horrific attack in western Sydney, The Daily Telegraph Australia reports.

But Tiperia revealed why she has chosen to forgive her husband, despite what he's done to her.

Teenager rapes man at knifepoint while filming incident

A woman accused of raping a man at knifepoint and filming part of the alleged incident could be spared prison.

Lestina Marie Smith was 17 when she allegedly raped a man, then 19, in his car while armed with a steak knife.
The man had testified earlier in the case that they had dated for almost two months late last year but broke up after Smith hit him.A few months later Smith allegedly asked him to meet her and threatened him with a knife before raping him.

Smith, now 18, faced up to life in prison but could not avoid a jail sentence after pleading no contest to lesser charges, the New York Post reports.

Akpabio in EFCC Wahala Over N1.4 Billion Bank Gift

Godswill Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State has attracted the attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an allegation that he gifted a bank N1.4 billion for unknown reasons.

The EFCC is said to have written to the unnamed bank to explain why it got the gift from Akpabio, who is the incumbent minority leader of the Senate.

But, the Akwa Ibom State government has jumped to Akpabio defence and has filed a case in court challenging the right of the EFCC to probe the state’s affairs, the Punch reports.

“Among several allegations that are already in the public domain, the commission has made some progress in investigating the circumstances in which Apkabio, in 2013, paid N566, 883,728.66; N441,808,081.90; and N392, 631,943.37 as gifts to a new generation bank,”

According to the newspaper, the state government had ignored seven requests from the EFCC, asking for the release of officials of the government for interrogation as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of Akpabio.

“On March 7, 2017, the commission wrote to the Secretary to the State Government, asking for the release of Mr Effiong Efiakedoho, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Special Duties, to appear before the EFCC on March 13,” the source continued.

“He was summoned specifically in respect of matters relating to a hotel, Four Point by Sheraton Hotel, Raffia City Plaza, A 342 Highway. There was no response.

“On May 8, 2017, a letter, requesting the Accountant General of the state to appear at the EFCC on May 18, was also ignored.

“The Accountant General was specifically summoned in respect of an aspect of the investigation relating to a company, Sindeng Nigeria Limited.

“The Commissioner for Works was also invited through a letter of May 19, 2017 and asked to report to the commission’s zonal office in Port Harcourt with respect to a road construction contract awarded to Nigturks Civil Technologies Limited. He too failed to honour the invitation.

“A May 26, 2017 letter to the Secretary to the State Government to release the Accountant General of the state for interrogation on June 5, on the Commercial Agriculture Credit Scheme, was also ignored,” the source added.

It was learnt that the EFCC, in two separate letters dated June 7, 2017, invited all the aforementioned persons but they failed to show up. Instead of releasing the officials, the state government through a letter, referenced HAG/MISC/VOL.XV1/164, dated June 28, 2017 and signed by the Attorney General, Uwemedimo Nwoko, stated that it was challenging the powers of the EFCC to investigate states.

IPOB's financial headquarters is in France-FG

The Federal Government, on Wednesday, alleged that apart from receiving money from looters in Nigeria, the Indigenous People of Biafra, was receiving its financing from France.

Speaking to state house correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said

, “We have the records, we know IPOB collects money from many people in diaspora. They collect money from many people in Nigeria, they collect money from some foreign countries, this is clear.
“Let me tell you, the financial headquarters is in France, we know. But you see, can you, as a government, stop people sending money to their parents? You have to block the sources of finance; that is what I said recently.“It is incontrovertible that some people in diaspora contribute money to IPOB. Where does he get his money from? We know this as a fact.”

The minister added,

 “In tackling IPOB again, there are a few very naughty diplomatic issues which you need to skip. For instance, who does not know that the IPOB international radio is located in London? We know the diplomatic moves we have been taking and approaching the UK and all the damage it (Radio Biafra) has done but they don’t see it that way; for them, it is about freedom of expression.”

Rejecting the argument that IPOB was not a terrorist group. ,he added,

“I think anybody, who has watched Nnamdi Kanu’s videos, knows that anywhere he goes, he openly solicits arms and funds. I have a lot of quotations from him as to the violent nature of IPOB.
“In one of his videos, he said if he was arrested, his boys should burn down the country.

Yesterday, the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Abdu Kafarati, granted the order proscribing the group on Wednesday.

It declared that the activities of the group constituted an act of terrorism and illegality.

Asian sex gang victim says she was raped by thousands of men from the age of 14

The victim of an Asian sex gang has told how she was raped by thousands of men – including a local politician – over a 15-year period since she was just 14.

Caitlin Spencer, not her real name, bravely opened up to tell her shocking story after she said she was failed by authorities who were “not interested”.She said the sick predators are still walking the streets after cops failed to bring any convictions for what was done to her.


Despite finding the courage to make an official police report two years ago, she said her case was dropped.

And she warned recent convictions in similar cases in Newcastle and Rochdale were just the tip of the iceberg.

She said there was “no way the gangs are that small”, claiming to have been raped by thousands of men across the country – including a prominent local politician.

Caitlin said her ordeal began when she rang the number on an advert calling for young models – only for a man to violently rape her in her family home while her parents were out.

She told The Mirror:

 “I ran a bath. Then I stayed in my room. I felt so dirty. I couldn’t face my family. I blamed myself.”

The then teenage schoolgirl kept the incident from her family – but before long she said the man was picking her up and trafficking her to others to abuse.Recalling her first “client”, she said:

 “He was an older Asian man, who obviously had a family. He had photos everywhere of his wife and kids.”

Terrified after being threatened with death, Caitlin said she would be given to two clients a day – usually Asian men – and had an abortion after becoming pregnant from the abuse.

She said her mum called police after finding her diary, but claimed a cop who quizzed her “seemed angry” and told her she would have to “get used to upsetting questions” when she asked him to stop.

The terrified teen said she dropped the case and officers told her mum she was a “known prostitute”.
She said the horrific abuse continued for years, with “queues” of men raping her, force-feeding her drugs to get her hooked and calling her names like “white bitch”.

Eventually she fled to Australia in 2013, before returning and telling cops her full story.

Caitlin said she worked with police to identify around 80 gang members on Facebook, but none were ever brought to justice after her case crumbled.

She said she has been left “disgusted” by the lack of support and protection she received and has decided to speak out to warn others of the dangers of Asian sex gangs.

The abuse survivor made an anonymous speech to the House of Lords on the topic .

She said: “These men find it okay to rape non-Muslim girls. It’s a brutal cult and needs to be stopped.
“There are other young British girls who are still suffering today in the way I suffered at the hands of Muslim men, who should be behind bars.”

Caitlin has also told her harrowing tale in a book called Please, Let Me Go.

Man stabs self,jumps into well in Kano

A 40 year old-man, Balarabe Adamu stabbed himself and jumped into a well on Tuesday at Rijiyar Zaki Quarters of Ungogo Local Government, Kano, official reports.

Alhaji Mustafa Rilwan, Director of Kano State Fire Service, told newsmen that the man was rescued from the well before he later died at Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano.


He said that a neighbour raised an alarm and informed the state Fire Service Balarabe had jumped inside the well after stabbing himself.
“Upon receiving the information, we quickly dispatched our secure team and a vehicle to the scene at about 5p.m.,’’ the fire service boss said. Rilwan advised the public to put their trust in God.

Usher's herpes accuser in $20m lawsuit reveals her identity

One of the women who recently came forward to accuse singer Usher Raymond of giving her herpes has revealed her identity in a new court filing.

Laura Helm of Fulton County, Georgia states in court papers filed on Tuesday that she is the 'Jane Doe' who alleged that Usher infected her with a sexually transmitted disease after the pair engaged in sexual relations on two separate occasions.


She also details these alleged encounters in her updated court filing, stating that Usher took showers before and after their hook-ups and that the singer would rush from the room towards the end so that she was never able to see him ejaculated


Helm was initially asking for $10million in her lawsuit but upped that to $20million after she tested positive for the Herpes Simplex 2 virus this past July.Helm claims that she and Usher were friends for years and that their relationship only became sexual in April 2017

'Immediately after engaging in sexual and intimate relations with [Helm] on April 28, 2017, [Usher] leapt from the bed, grabbed his penis, ran to the bathroom,and began to shower again,' reads the complaint.

'[Helm], a bit confused by [Usher's] behavior, left [Usher's] hotel room while [Usher] was showering.'

Helm alleges that a few days later 'an unusual bump appeared on the inside of [her] cheek.'

A few days after that, 'an unusual bump the size of a green pea that was painful to the press touch appeared on [Helm's] vagina' according to the filing. 

In July, Helm learned that she had been infected with Herpes Simplex 2, and as a result claims to have suffered 'extreme and debilitating mental, emotional and physical distress and anguish, humiliation and embarrassment.'

Pastor seeks to divorce wife of 25 years for placing curses on him with her private part

A pastor, Bernard Towoju, who says he cannot tolerate his wife’s ill-nature and troubles, on Wednesday approached an Igando Customary Court, Lagos, seeking the dissolution of their marriage of 25 years.

Towoju said his wife, Abosede, was in the habit of going naked to swear for him with her private part.

“I cannot continue to make love with a woman who always swears for me with her private part,” he said.

According to him, Abosede is stubborn, wayward and troublesome.

“She once came to my office to fight me and tore my clothes in the presence of my colleagues. We fight on daily basis and hurt each other a lot.
“We always land in the police station after our fight, in fact, we are regular customers at the station,’’ he said.

The 53-year-old man also accused his wife of threatening his life.

“My wife always hits me with dangerous weapons whenever we are fighting.
“I had to run away from the house I built with my money 10 years ago to rent an apartment for safety.
“She chased me with cutlass, bottles and sticks; our neighbours can testify to that.
“I am afraid, I cannot sleep under the same roof with her with my two eyes closed,” he said.

He begged the court to dissolve the marriage as he was no longer interested in the relationship.

In her defence, Abosede, however, accused her husband of calling her a witch.

“He said everywhere he went for solution to his problems they always told him that I am behind his predicament.“My hands are clean, I know nothing about his woes,’’ said the estranged wife.“Bernard abandoned me and the children 10 years ago, I have been taking care of the children,” the 36-year-old fashion designer added.

The mother of four urged the court not to grant her husband’s request for the dissolution of the marriage, saying “I still love him.”

The court’s President, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case until Oct. 31 for further hearing.

 A Brit tourist faces six months’ jail in Dubai — for flicking the middle finger.

Jamil Mukadam says he flashed the sign, deemed a public obscenity in the United Arab Emirates, at a raging motorist while driving a hire car.The 23-year-old flew home to Leicester in February but was arrested and put in a cell on returning to Dubai this month.


Jamil was bailed, yet can’t leave the country ahead of his court hearing as cops confiscated his passport.
The IT worker is now in a £60-a-night hotel awai­ting a court hearing where he faces up to six months in jail or a huge fine.

“I was driving to the airport with my wife and this guy was up behind me flashing his lights.“I pulled over and they were screaming at me.

"I stuck my finger up, drove off and thought nothing of it.
"But when I came back to Dubai and through passport control there was a loud beeping sound and, within seconds, I was surrounded by police.“I was two days in a cell with 172 others including a murderer and rapist. I had no bed, blanket or food.

“Now I can’t leave my hotel because I don’t have my passport and I’ll run out of money by the end of the week.”

Jamil, whose wife Dilshad later flew home to Leicester, could face a six-month wait for his court hearing.The Foreign Office said: “We are assisting a British man detained in Dubai.”

France to make wolf-whistling and asking women for their phone number a criminal offence

Wolf-whistling  is set to be banned in France as the government declares war on men hassling women in public.

Under proposed plans ,bugging women for their telephone numbers and following them could also be prohibited.The crackdown comes after surveys show virtually all French women have been harassed on public transport, in the street or elsewhere at some time.


France’s new leader, President Emmanuel Macron, pledged to end this during his election campaign this year,Reuters reports.

Only a few countries, including Belgium and Portugal, have banned such behaviour.

Marlène Schiappa, the under-secretary for gender equality, defended the plan and gave an example of behaviour that would be illegal.

Killer 'decapitates 18-month-old baby after release from psychiatric hospital

 A killer released from a psychiatric hospital with the all-clear decapitated an 18-month-old baby relative with a knife and brandished the severed head in a public street, eyewitnesses say.

Mikhail Elinsky, 42, also stabbed his niece - the dead girl's mother - resulting in serious abdominal injuries.

A video shows him repeatedly taunting officers with a knife and refusing to give himself up.

He was eventually shot by police and taken to a hospital in Astrakhan, Russia, where he later died.

The man's niece Tatiana had earlier pleaded with the authorities not to release him from psychiatric hospital, fearing he remained a danger after he had killed a woman six years ago.

She desperately tried to save her daughter Natalia but was was stabbed as she came close to the kitchen where Elinsky was butchering the child.

Eyewitness Anastasiya Miloserdova said:

 "The little girl was his niece, and his mother had begged not to let him out of the mental clinic.
"And look how it ended - he ran around the area with the cut off head of the little one."

Tatiana said: 

"We were about to go out, and my daughter was sitting on her tricycle.He pulled her off, grabbed her and took her to the kitchen.
"He closed the door and began to cut her.
"I tried to stop him and ran to the kitchen but he stabbed me in the stomach with his knife."

Her husband Igor (pictured above with the baby and below after the killing)was too grief-stricken to speak.
