Nicki Minaj Mad At Haters After ‘Anaconda’ Leak

Nicki Minaj’s new single ‘Anaconda’ leaked three days early before its August 4 release! Instead of letting the early-song drama get her down, Nicki’s dissing her haters and saying they can’t ‘steal her joy.’

The rapper is not only body-confident enough to wear a teeny-tiny pink thong on her single cover, she’s also bold enough to tell her doubters to “sit down.”

Read Nicki’s blunt message below;

“U can’t steal my joy. Your fears are your fears. Your doubts are your doubts. U can’t steal my joy. Sit back and watch God move,” Nicki posted on her Instagram page yesterday, the same day her song leaked.

Ebola: Governor Fashola Wants Borders Closed

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has urged the Federal Government to close its borders with affected West African countries to prevent the outbreak of Ebola
virus in the country.

Speaking at Lagos House, Ikeja, on Friday, Fashola said Ebola was no longer a local problem, but an international one that required urgent measures in place to prevent its spread.

He said, “This is because it is easily
transmittable across the borders and boundaries.

“The Federal Government team has been working with the state’s team. But I think what the Federal Government should do is to consider closing down some of our borders.

“It is difficult to stop this epidemic and we must now choose the treaty obligations that we hold under the ECOWAS treaty and perhaps short term benefits in terms of economic cost to human life. We must make that choice and consider it very seriously. It is a national security issue and I think that we should give it that attention.

“I think that men and women who man our border posts – sea, air and land -especially the customs, now know that they are our first line of defence.

“It is prevention, rather than calling the health professionals to quarantine people, that is really the strongest defence against the virus”.

Vector Writes Apology Letter To Former Label, YSG Entertainment And Fans

Nigerian rapper, Vector finally come out openly to apologise to his former record label and fans.

With his upcoming project, #A7 billed to drop this month, the rapper has resolved the widely-publicized feud between him and his former record label, YSG Entertainment.

Read his open letter below: -

Dear Fans and Media Reps,
Apology Letter to YSG Entertainment Limited. I hope this meets you all well. It is no secret that the last 12 months have been the most turbulent of my music career.

With regards to the lingering issues about which I have been mute, I, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun popularly known to you as Vector Tha Viper, wish to state the following;

1. YSG Entertainment Ltd without any doubt, gave me the platform to show case my talent to the world.

2.  it’s true we had misunderstandings on issues concerning my engagement with them.

3. There’s an existing Federal High Court injunction preventing me from doing what I love to do and this serves me and my fans no good. However, we have
entered into a settlement to have the injunction lifted.

4. That by reason of irreconcilable differences, my Record Contract Agreement withYSG Entertainment Ltd has been aborted. That being said, in the spirit of good faith and a show of unreserved commitment to settle these issues amicably out of court, I have sought and obtained permission from the label to pay off the discounted recoupable expenses as contained in the Terms of Settlement in this regards.

I would also like to apologize to the management of YSG Entertainment Ltd for any embarrassment occasioned by my conduct and whatever damage it may have suffered as a result of the slander and libel as portrayed by the media in this regard.

 These issues were exaggerated by the media as I hold YSG Entertainment Ltd in high esteem. I also appreciate the leniency afforded me by discounting the recoupable expenses for me.

I wish the company well in all
their endeavors.

Thank you.
Signed: Olanrewaju David
Ogunmefun.

Buhari’s wife asks Jonathan To Resign over Boko Haram insurgency

Wife of former Military Head of State, Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), Hajiya Asiya Buhari, Thursday condemned the assassination attempt on her husband in Kaduna last week. She therefore, called on President Goodluck Jonathan to resign from office, saying it was high time he did so.

In a terse statement made available to media houses, Asiya Buhari advised the President to follow the example of former South Korean Prime Minister, Jung Hong-won who resigned over his government’s handling of the ferry accident which left more than 300 people dead.

“As he saw grieving families suffering with the pain of losing their loved ones and the sadness and resentment of the public, he took responsibility as prime Minister; he apologised to his country and resigned because of service to humanity,” she said.

“Jonathan should emulate such a leader, because Nigerians have been dying daily, for the four years, hoping that government is going to do something, but we are tired of this insecurity and increased attacks on innocent people.

“Where is Jonathan? What is he doing? If action is not taken now, when? It is not enough to verbally condemn; action is long overdue,” Asiya concluded.
