How I escaped ritual killers's den in Ogun- Abducted student reveals

A student of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Oluwaseun Mary Olaniyan who escaped from the kidnappers’ den has narrated how she found her way out.

Olaniyan, a history student said she was kidnapped by four men in a vehicle painted in the state taxi colour at about 6.30pm outside the main gate of the institution.

She said,

“I boarded the taxi cab alongside a lady at the same location. Two of them were going to Yaba in Ondo city.

“As soon as I boarded the vehicle, I became unconscious. I later found myself in a building located inside a thick forest.
“We were six in the hands of the captors who fed us only with water. We saw strange men coming in a jeep vehicle to collect something we suspected to be human flesh which was concealed in a cellophane bag.
“My escape from the hands of the kidnappers was divine. It was while they were quarrelling that I took the opportunity to escape alongside others into the bush.
“I trekked inside the forest until I got to Ile-Oluji/Ipetu Ijesa road where I met a lady and asked for direction to Ondo town. The lady told me I was very close to Ile-Oluji. When I got to Igbo Oja, I made efforts to reach my mother on her phone.
“I contacted my mother. My father immediately called me and I informed him that I had reached Itanla junction along Ondo/Akure highway.”

Two students of the institution, Oladepo Blessing and Oluwasemilore Mary who were kidnapped earlier were found dead.Their killers confessed to selling their parts for N15m.

Professor gives lecture while holding student's infant

A Texas A&M University professor is being praised after he lent a hand -- or an entire arm -- when a student couldn't find a babysitter for her infant before class.

Ashton Robinson said in a Facebook post that she emailed Henry Musoma, her professor at Mays Business School, to tell him she would have to miss a class because she couldn't find a babysitter for her son, Emmett, in time for the scheduled session.

Robinson said she was surprised when Musoma responded with a simple solution: "Please bring him!"

The single mom posted a video showing the grinning professor giving his lecture while toting the infant in one of his arms.

"Being a single mom is so challenging but it's people like Dr. Henry Musoma that make life just a tiny bit easier!" she wrote.

"THIS is why I'm so proud to be an Aggie! Definitely something I'll never forget and can't wait to someday tell Emmett that it's because of people like this that mommy was able to graduate from the best university in the world."

Musoma's unconventional solution to Robinson's problem was widely praised online, including by university President Michael K. Young.

Crystal Palace sack coach after 77 days

Frank de Boer has been sacked as Crystal Palace manager after five games and 77 days in charge.

Former England boss Roy Hodgson will replace him, BBC Sport understands.

The Eagles are 19th in the Premier League after losing 1-0 at Burnley on Sunday - and failed to score in their four league matches under De Boer.

Former Ajax boss De Boer, 47, only took over this summer, succeeding Sam Allardyce, who left after helping Palace avoid relegation last season.

His only win as Palace manager came in the EFL Cup against Ipswich Town.
Should Hodgson take the job on a permanent basis, he will be the club's seventh permanent manager in six years.

Palace chairman Steve Parish was at Turf Moor on Sunday and said afterwards: "It's a terrible start but we have to stick together.

"People are frustrated, I'm frustrated, so are the management and players. We know we are better than this.

"I'm defending everyone at the club who is working their backside off to turn this around. Football teams lose games. It happens.

"Who has the better squad, us or Burnley? We had a much weaker squad when we finished 11th. The buck stops with me; I've never run away from that."

Speaking earlier this month, Parish had said De Boer's start had "not been great" and football was a "results-based business".

De Boer made two major signings at Palace, paying £26m for Liverpool centre-half Mamadou Sakho and signing Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald for £7.9m.

He also recruited full-back Timothy Fosu-Mensah and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Manchester United and Chelsea respectively.

I’m saddened by actress Afia Schwarzenegger’s naked video – Prophet Kumchacha

                              Kumchacha Kumchacha
Founder and leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries  Ghana , Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has stated in an interview with Kofi TV that he is disappointed in the manner in which Afia Schwarzenegger’s nude pictures and videos have been circulated.
The pastor expressed unhappiness at the incident adding that Afia’s husband should have settled for a divorce rather than recording and taking nude shots of her.

‘’One thing that has really made me sad is the fact that Afia’s nude pictures are circulating about. Afia Schwarzenegger is someone’s daughter and belongs to a family for that matter. If you think your wife or husband has committed adultery, the Bible permits you to divorce him or her. Displaying your wife’s private parts on the internet for everyone to see is never the right thing to do” he stated.

While urging Ghanaians to stop circulating the videos and chastising Afia Schwarzenegger, Kumchacha remarked that her posture after the video was leaked was not the best.

A video of Afia Schwarzenegger allegedly cheating on her husband, Maxwell Abrokwa, went viral on social media last week. The video recorded by Mr. Abrokwa captures Afia Schwarzenegger naked with only a white towel covering her torso and wearing a head scarf. She was heard and seen begging Abrokwa who threatened to douse her face with acid, not to do so.

After the video was leaked, Afia Schwarzenegger appeared unperturbed as she asked Ghanaians to continue circulating it so she trends.

Afia’s posture attracted a barrage of criticisms from a section of the public but Kumchacha believes she should not be condemned. He has prophesied that the comedienne will be an evangelist one day.

“Saul became Paul after he encountered Christ. Everything is possible under the sun. Do you know who I was and the things I did in my hometown? I was a criminal. I was a thief. I could steal to the extent that people made me the caretaker of their farms. You have no idea the number of fowls I have stolen. Look, God uses people like my type to win souls for his kingdom. The stone the builders reject, becomes the cornerstone,” he said.

“Afia will become the greatest evangelist in Ghana. Mark it on the wall. So to speak, such persons are able to preach to others to change from their evil means when they convert. God has revealed to me that Afia Schwarzenegger will be a great evangelist in Ghana. She will be the greatest and win souls for Christ. The book of Ezekiel says God doesn’t take delight in the death of the wicked. I have prophesy and it shall surely come to pass,” he added.

Grace Mugabe responds to assault case, says S.A model attacked her with a knife

Zimbabwe's first lady Grace Mugabe has denied whipping a South African model with a piece of electrical cord.

The 52-year-old wife of president Robert Mugabe also accused Gabriella Engels of attacking her with a knife and being "intoxicated and unhinged".

In a previously unreported statement seen by Reuters, Mrs Mugabe painted herself as the victim of last month's incident in a Johannesburg hotel suite and said she was considering filing attempted murder charges.

Mrs Mugabe claimed she had been worried about her adult sons Chatunga and Robert Junior who were "in trouble with a drunken young woman" in a different room.

"Upon her arrival, Ms Engels, who was intoxicated and unhinged, attacked Dr Grace Mugabe with a knife after she was asked to leave the hotel," the statement said.
"Security was left with no other option but to remove Ms Engels from the hotel suite," it continued.

Mrs Mugabe's statement alleged that Ms Engels might have sustained the injuries in a fight with other women at the city's Taboo nightclub the previous evening.

But those claims were denied by Afriforum, an Afrikaans civil society group acting on the model's behalf.

"Gabriella never attacked Grace Mugabe in any way and she did not participate in the fight at Taboo," Afriforum said.
"It is clear that Grace Mugabe is desperately trying to escape responsibility for her own violent behaviour by using lies to falsely portray the victim in this case as the perpetrator."

“he would fight corruption like never before if he is given the opportunity to preside over the affairs of the country., “It is sickening to continue to regurgitate allegations of corruption against me by people who have failed to come forward with a single shred of evidence of my misconduct while in office.”“People who are bereft of ideas about entrepreneurial spirit always think that everyone else is a thief just like them,” he added.

“Why are we talking about second term for heaven’s sake? -Woke Soyinka fumes

Wole Soyinka has criticised those campaigning for 2019 presidential elections saying Buhari's administration had barely gone halfway.

The Nobel laureate spoke with some journalists after the unveiling of the second batch of students departing Nigeria for Lebanon for the Study Abroad In Lebanon programme by The Cedars Institute, Lebanon, in collaboration with The Wole Soyinka Foundation.
When asked if he would endorse the President for a second term, Soyinka stated,
“Why are we talking about second term for heaven’s sake? I don’t understand this. I refuse to be part of that discussion. I absolutely refuse to be part of the discussion.’’

On performance of the current administration, the revered writer said ,

“Take simple security for instance. The average citizen feels less secure now than he did a few years ago; that is evident. When people talk about state police, there are reasons for it. When they talk about bringing policing right down to the community level, they know what they are talking about. This is also part and parcel of reconstruction or reconfiguration.
“The economy, there is a big question about it right now. Fortunately, everybody admits that we went through a very bad patch. Right now, it is a question of have we come out of it or not or there is no question at all.
“The past few years have been years of real internal economic disaster for the average citizen.’’

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West 'spend nearly $2m on security detail' for surrogate

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have hired a nearly  $2 million round-the-clock security to guard the surrogate mother of their unborn third child.

The Sun Online  reveals the superstar couple have moved the woman into a new home in the suburbs of LA and have provided state-of-the-art security equipment.

An insider said:

"Kim and Kanye have rented a place about an hour outside LA  in a very nondescript suburb in a middle-class neighbourhood for their surrogate.
"I mean, this is the last place you would think to find the surrogate for one of the richest families in Hollywood.

"It's a nice house, actually, split level, and Kanye has cameras put in everywhere in the house and outside too for safety and security - these are state of the art."

The woman will also be surrounded by security staff and even has her own driver to ensure she isn't hassled while out and about. They have rented four different cars, and the surrogate has a driver.

"So with the rent on the house, expenses for the security staff and their wages - that's around $1.5million for the surrogate's safety.
"But of course, it's worth it - they want the best for her and their unborn baby."

Jonathan believed Boko Haram was sponsored to remove him — Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has once again revealed ex-president Jonathan thought Boko Haram was created o distract his government.

Speaking in an interview with the BBC in Lagos, Obasanjo noted that former President Goodluck Jonathan did not take the insurgency seriously..

He said,
“I went out in 2011 to Maiduguri. I took great risk to find out what is really happening. Boko Haram, do they have grievances, if they have grievances, what are their grievances and I brought all that to Jonathan.Jonathan didn’t believe that Boko Haram was a serious issue. He thought that it was a device by the North to prevent him from continuing as president of Nigeria which was rather unfortunate.”“Even when Chibok girls were abducted, it took a while for the government to believe. Now if that is the situation, you can understand why the right attention was not paid to the issue of Boko Haram when it should have been paid.”

Ritual killer of 8 year old niece -I was rearrested when I went to steal food

Ifeanyi Dike, the suspected ritual killer who was rearrested last week, said on Monday that hunger made it possible for security agents to re-arrest him when he came out of his hideout.

Dike, who raped and killed his eight-year-old nice, Victory Nmezuwuba, in Jos, Plateau State, had escaped from police custody before he was recaptured last week.

The suspect was first arrested in Eliozu, Port Harcourt, when he attempted to dispose off the mutilated body of his victim after removing her tongue, two eyes, two fingers and one breast.

Dike said:

“At the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, after I entered my statement late in the evening of the day of my first parade, my IPO asked me to go inside the cell. “That was when I had the opportunity to run away. My IPO did not help me escape. I know what I did was wrong, please forgive me and have mercy.”

Dike disclosed that he was re-arrested after his successful disappearance from Port Harcourt, when he got involved in another crime in the place he had escaped to in Plateau State.

He explained that he was faced with starvation after he arrived Plateau State and in an attempt to steal food he was apprehended by residents of the area, who later handed him over to the Police. According to him,

“I escaped to Jos. Having stayed for several days without food and due to the injuries I sustained, I was unable to get food to eat. So due to the hunger, I decided to source for food and that was where I was caught and handed over to the Police. “When I got to the Police station, at first I was hiding my identity, but on interrogation I got fed up and gave them (Police) my aunty’s phone number. “As soon as the Police called my aunty, she told them that I was declared wanted by the Rivers State Police command. She also handed my IPO’s phone number to the Police officers and they later confirmed that I am on the wanted list. After I was confirmed, I was detained and returned back to Rivers State on Sunday.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Mr. Ahmed Zaki, has described the re-arrest of Dike as an act of God, noting that providence has brought the suspect back to face justice. He said:
“Today (yesterday), with profound humility, I present to you the most wanted ritual killer, Mr. Ifeanyi Maxwell Dike. His re-arrest was made possible by God Almighty, through your numerous prayers and concerns, following his escape three weeks ago. “I wish to assure you that justice will not only be done, but be seen to be done in the circumstance to bring the full weight of the law to bear on him and any other person implicated in the cause of further investigations.” …
