She was a force of nature. My big sis, my 1st wife, my confidante, my rock, my critique, my greatest fan and regal leader. She was a radiant, gorgeous woman with a smile bigger than the sun and always ready to embrace anyone for all the good and even wrong reasons. My sun is gone.

 The dull numbing ache in my heart will never be pacified by any woman alive. Not my lover, sisters nor even a daughter I may one day bear.

The relationship of a mother and an only son is uniquely eternal and spiritual, transcending human comprehension. Mine with Gladys is even far strangely beyond that. They say it’s a blessing if a son buries his mother and not the other way around.

 I’m not sure they’re entirely right.

They also said one never recovers from the loss of their mother. I hope they are right! May I never recover from the memories of your celestial love, sacrifices, warmth, your contagious laughter and merciless wit. Your enthusiasm for life and service of others was infectious. 

I’ll miss you each and every waking moment of my life. I know you’re in a better place now. I’ll carry on everything you stood for ’til my last days.

Serious Lawsuit: Court orders 50 Cent to pay $1.6M

50 Cent has been ordered by a judge to pay $1M to Sleek headphones after a planned deal to market his own range with the company fell through.

According to RadarOnline.com, the star invested more than $1 million to start his line, before deciding the create another set of headphones with a different company.

Court documents reportedly show Sleek were ‘stunned’ when they found the ‘ Sync by 50 ‘ headphones were ‘basically the same design, mechanically’ as the pair they had developed.

Sleek also claimed the rapper and his assistants stole confidential information from a website they developed to promote the headphones before they were produced.

The site featured 3,639 potential customers’ email addresses and other data, which ‘disappeared’ after 50′s team was given the password.

The court heard it was ‘very valuable
information’, but when Sleek emailed the rapper’s team to discuss the issue, his business manager Nicole Martin wrote, ‘[Sleek] is onto us, LOL. They emailed and called … about the data. (sic)’

Another member of 50′s team also sent an email to a colleague, saying: ‘ Tell him something like, sorry, you just have to finish editing a video for 50 or something, we’ll get to it, LOL (sic) ’.

Court documents show Sleek sued the rapper for breaching his fiduciary duty, participating in a civil conspiracy, misappropriating trade secrets, breaching his confidentiality agreement and being unjustly enriched.

The rapper instead claimed Sleek ‘fraudulently induced’ him into entering into an investment and breaching their fiduciary duties to him

Tanzanian artiste, Naseeb Abdul, aka Diamond Platnumz, is a popular artist in his home country. He holds eight Kilimanjaro awards.

The singer recently did a hit with Nigerian music star, Davido in the remix of his single ‘Number One’ and he disclosed his happiness for achieving so much.

Speaking about the collabo, the singer revealed that the duet with Davido has now made the Nigerian star popular in Tanzania.

“I met Davido when he came over to Tanzania for a show and when we were together, he heard my song. I told him I would love to feature him on the remix of my song, ‘Number One’, and he agreed. Currently the song is topping charts in various African countries.”

“Shortly after, he released Aye and that made him very popular in my country as well. They love the song in my country. I featured Davido on the track because I wanted to launch myself into the West African market and he was the best person for the job. I used Davido to break into the West African market,” the Tanzanian singer said further.

Kanye West reportedly ‘begging people to invite Kim Kardashian’ to events

Kanye West is eager for his fiancée Kim Kardashian - who is the mother of his 10-month-old daughter North West – to join him at elite parties and meetings, but people keep rejecting her.

A source told RadarOnline.com:
‘Kanye is begging people to invite Kim to events or meetings with the cream of the crop in Hollywood, but so many people are refusing.

‘He’s a serious star that people really respect, especially as a businessman, but they want nothing to do with Kim. ’

The 33-year-old reality TV star and her mother Kris Jenner were desperate to attend the Vanity Fair Oscar party last month, but they weren’t invited to the posh event.

The source explained: ‘ Kim is just not welcome at the same places Kanye is.

‘Another problem is that Kanye is pushing not only for people to accept Kim but her mother Kris too! That is definitely not going to happen. People want Kris around even less than they want Kim. ’

However, the pal insists Kanye, who managed to talk US VOGUE editor Anna Wintour into having him and Kim on the front cover of this month’s issue, shouldn’t be underestimated by his powers of persuasion.

Abel: You have a unique rapping style. How do you see your delivery style?

Erigga: My style has to do with where I come from. I am a Warri boy, so I have to represent my hood. This is what I am and i am also glad my fans love it.

Abel: Are you enjoying the attention you are getting from fans?

Erigga: Yes I am. It is fun because this is what I always wanted to be.

Abel: How is your relationship with Yung 6ix?

Erigga: Yung 6ix is my guy, we talk all the time and we respect each other alot.

Abel: I have heard people say you don't shoot video for your songs, what do you have to say?

Erigga: Don't mind them. I have like 8 videos and I would shoot more this year.

Abel: Are you working on any new single?

Erigga:Yes. I am dropping a new single 'Pass Dat'  nextweek. My fans should get ready for it.

Abel: What is your advice to young artists?

Erigga: You all should stick to your styles and work hard. Nothing good comes easy.

Banky W and other passengers trapped on an aircraft

What won't we see in this country?

A New York bound Arik Air flight from Lagos could not power on the air-conditioning right before taking off.

The 10-minute video clip released by Sahara Reporters TV shows a large number of passengers on board the aircraft complaining bitterly about the air conditioning.

Adults and children were seeing fanning themselves with newspapers and eventually taking of their shirts. A passenger tries to alert the flight crew that his wife might have fainted due to the heat. Without air-conditioning or proper ventilation, passengers would have used up the oxygen on board, recycled it as CO2 and began inhaling the dangerous air.

‘Let me out, I can’t take it anymore! ‘, a woman screams. ‘This wickedness, why are they acting like this‘, an elderly man asks.

Some of the passengers including Banky W were spotted trying to get the attention of the pilot in the cockpit. 

Gentleman Banky tries to calm one of the passengers on board and ironically loses his own cool in doing so.

‘Why are you shouting at me? You want to start fighting here? Will you calm down here’, Banky W shouts back at the man who also replies him ‘Sharrap, I’m flying 10 hours, I’m a married man‘.

Passengers become very anxious and are screaming to get down, the cabin crew look just as confused.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg earned only $1 salary in 2013

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg , was paid $1 in salary for 2013, according to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to documents lodged with the US Securities and Exchange Commission this week, Facebook’s executive directors earned less in 2013 than in the year of the flotation, with multi-billionaire Zuckerberg earning just $1 after waiving both his salary and cash bonus.

The 29-year-old entrepreneur is following in the footsteps of Apple’s Steve Jobs , and Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin, by claiming only a nominal salary Zuckerberg has, in the past, collected a decent salary, earning $503,205 in 2012. He also made $653,165 last year versus $1.99 million in 2012.

The money went largely to fund
private planes and his security program, according to the filing.
The 29 year-old Zuckerberg’s wealth is estimated at $27 billion.

He also owns 61.6% of voting power in the company, giving him carte blanche to forge ahead with deals like the $19 billion pending WhatsApp acquisition and last week’s $2 billion proposed takeover of Oculus.

D’Banj has revealed that he will hire the professionalism of his former producer, Don Jazzy, to produce his next album.

disclosed this in an interview with UK radio and TV personality, Tim Westwood, recently that he is planning to do a Best of D’Banj album for his forthcoming 10th anniversary and that he is getting Don Jazzy to produce the album.

Zara buried in Lagos 7 days after passing away (Photos)

A funeral service was held for the late Zara Gretti today, April 4, 2014.

The service, which was held at the Lagos Catholic Cathedral, Lagos Island, started at 10AM and lasted for an hour. It was attended by close friends and family including her mother.

‘Thank you for coming, thank you ‘, her mother, who flew into the country for the funeral service said.

Afterwards, she was taken to the Ikoyi Cemetery, where she was buried.  Three tributes were given at the ceremony from singer Ijeoma ‘Declectic’ Aniebo, producer Kraft and spoken word artiste Elizabeth.

Zara’s mother was not present at the burial ground.

Only few Nigerian entertainers and celebrities were present at the service. They include Nikki Laoye and her husband, Jahborne, Emma Nyra and manager Ubi Franklin, Yemi Alade and her manager, Beat FM’s Jimmie and Douglas, Tunde Demuren, Noble Igwe, Vina of Big Brother Africa fame and others like artiste manager Booboo , Obinna Agwu , singer/producer IBK , producers Kraft , Kid Konnect, KnightHouse execs Temi Gomez and Lanre Oladimeji with just a few others.
