Tyrese Investigated by Children’s Services Over Abuse Allegations

Tyrese is now being investigated for child abuse.

According to Page Six, the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the 38-year-old actor following the accusation by his ex-wife Norma Mitchell Gibson that he physically abused their daughter Shayla between 12 and 16 times.

The messy affair started when Norma filed the application with the court, saying that on August 19, the actor accused the 10-year-old of “stealing her own piggy bank money that she received for her birthday”, and so, he “went into a rage, pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.”

In response, Tyrese mocked Norma, saying that the only reason she is making accusations against him is because she hasn’t found a man since he left her.

“I’ve only prayed that your heart heals and we live our lives separately and peacefully on behalf of our daughter,” he said in the post, adding, “There’s someone out here for everybody – Norma I know you can see this, I’m sorry I got re-married, I’m sorry we didn’t work out I’m sorry you haven’t been able to find another man since we separated…… Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don’t work out, but I have NEVER wished harm on you.”

Well, it is a crime in his state to physically abuse a child, and it is for this reason that the child services in Los Angeles has opened a file for him and are now investigating him for child abuse. If found guilty, he could lose access to the 10-year-old.

In typical Tyrese fashion, he took to Instagram today to post a photo of him and Shayla, with a caption that apparently responds to the investigation.
