Zlatan Ibrahimovic signs new deal with Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to English club, Manchester United after signing a new one-year contract.

The 35-year-old had scored 28 goals for the Red Devils before a knee injury in a Europa League match ended his 2016/17 campaign in April.

He then became a free agent at the end of his contract with the club in June 2017, but has now returned to the club for one more year.

Man. United fans will have to wait a few months before seeing Zlatan play, though, as he continues to recover from the injury.

But manager, Jose Mourinho reckons he will play an important part in the second half of the season.
‘I have no doubt that he will be important in the second part of the season,’ Mourinho said after the deal was sealed.

Mourinho added, ‘We are delighted to have his ambition and experience back with us. After his contribution last season he deserves our trust and we’ll be patient waiting for his return.’
Zlatan has been given the number 10 shirt, with Romelu Lukaku having been handed the number 9 shirt after signing in July.
