French TV journalist found dead in a ditch after her horse bolted

A high-profile French TV journalist died after she fell from her horse while riding in the Loire valley.
Marlène Seguin, 27, who worked as an equestrian correspondent for the television channel LCI died after her horse bolted in Champdieu on Monday.
Police investigating the incident have not yet ruled out foul play, but say the current evidence strongly suggests her death was a result of a tragic accident.


According to France Bleu, locals found Seguin's horse walking on its own along the road from Jobert to Champdieu.
A few moments later they found the journalist lying in a ditch unconscious and not breathing at around 5.20pm on Monday,Daily Mail reports.
Emergency workers attempted to resuscitate Seguin without any success.
Investigators have determined that when Seguin, who was an accomplished rider, left her home at 4pm, she was wearing her safety helmet.
