Earlier today, Suge Knight was denied a reduction on his hefty $10 million bail, but with friends like Floyd Mayweather, Suge isn't giving up hope of posting the money just yet.
According to Suge's Lawyer, Matt Fletcher, Mayweather may be opening his wallet following his highly anticipated fight against Manny Pacquiao. From his most recent statement, it's not entirely clear whether or not the money will only come through if Floyd wins the fight, but the boxer is estimated to come out with a whopping $180 million either way, so it really shouldn't make a difference.
Speaking with the New York Daily New today, Fletcher was a bit vague on the conditions of Mayweather's offer.
“My understanding is that Suge’s going to be bailed out this coming week. We think Mr. Mayweather is going to win the championship and then come champion the day again. They’re good friends and there’s no reason he shouldn’t and we believe that will happen.”
However, in another interview, the attorney seemed a little more certain that it wouldn't be happening without Mayweather's win.
"Suge said, ‘Man, I was really going to pull for him to win, but now I'm going to have to pray for him to win,'" Fletcher shared with the L.A Times.
