Ojukwu, who made this known on Wednesday said his father told him about his discussion with Buhari, and denied claim by some pro-Biafran groups that he was in support of the agitation for Biafra. .
.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State, Ojukwu said:

Let me state the following categorically: firstly, that I made no such comments to anybody, and secondly that I am aware that His Excellency’s (Buhari’s) comments were indeed factual.
I have noticed a disturbing trend recently of fake news being attributed to me on social media. I don’t know who is behind it or what their motive might be, but let me assure you that any time I feel the need to comment publicly on any matter, I will not do so via some anonymous email or anything of the like; rather be rest assured that there will be no ambiguity whatsoever as to whether the comments came from me.” .

72-yr-old grandma Of 6 Laments After Her 27-yr-old Nigerian Husband Is Denied U.K Visa

72-year old English grandma, Angela in a  post revealed how she met and married her 27-year old lover CJ Nwachukwu, just three months after they met on Facebook adding that her trip to Nigeria for their wedding was the first time they met face to face.
According to her, she has since spent over £20,000 visiting him and trying to get him into the UK.

Angela, a retired taxi driver from Dorchester, Dorset, says:
The grandma of six was, however, devastated when CJ was denied a visa but says their marriage is solid despite the 4,000 miles between them.
“CJ is the most caring man any woman could want to be with. He makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. I know in my heart we belong together and we won’t stop fighting until we can be together as husband and wife. We won’t let this break us.

CJ is the third husband of Angela.
“After the wedding, I found it hard leaving CJ. I knew I’d see him again soon but my family visa application was rejected. I was so determined to get him a visa I hired lawyers to fight for us. I’ve since visited him twice, in 2016 and 2017.
We’ve spent a combined £20,000 trying to see each other. I’ve used my savings and he has gradually paid me back half. He is six years younger than my oldest grandchild. But I couldn’t help falling for him.
When I first told my son Malcolm about CJ, he was worried it might be a scam, so he checked him out online. After seeing how squeaky-clean his social media was, he felt he was genuine. They could all see how happy I was," she said.

The couple’s last hope is that he will be allowed to come next year on a student visa to study. She still hopes to be permanently united with him.

Kenneth Copeland – Leaving The Low Life Behind [SERMON]

Topic: Leaving The Low Life Behind [Wednesday August 23, 2017]

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. – Matthew 16:25

The high life…or the low life? God’s kind of life…or the world’s kind of life? You can’t have them both. It’s one or the other. You have to choose.

You may try to put off that choice. You may try to hang on to the low life while reaching out for the high life at the same time, so you can see if it’s something you really want before you give up everything the world has to offer. But, believe me, you’re not that tall!

You’ll never be able to sample the high life for yourself until you’re willing to let go, until you’re willing to take God at His Word and trust Him to take care of you. What will happen to you when you do that? You’ll start living the kind of life God describes in Psalm 1. You’ll be like “a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; [your] leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever [you] doeth shall prosper” (verse 3).

In West Texas talk that means your roots will go down so deep that no drought can dry you up and no storm can blow you down. No matter what happens in the world around you, you’ll prosper.
The stronger the wind blows, the more you’ll bend in the breeze. Depression and inflation won’t be able to break you. When the rains stop coming and everyone else is withering away, you’ll just keep on thriving and bearing the fruit of the spirit because you’re drawing up nourishment from the riverbed!

That’s what the high life is like and there’s nothing that the world has to offer that can even compare. I know that from experience. Once you dare to let go and trust God…so will you.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 16:13-26

I can not even commit suicide over my own mother --Fayose

A few days after APC Ekiti chapter told governor Ayo Fayose to keep to his promise to commit suicide if Buhari returns ,the governor his insisted he never made such promise.

He said even if his mother is being buried, he would avoid standing near the grave, to avoid falling in it  and asked why he would commit suicide over Buhari and old man.

The governor spoke on Wednesday during an interactive session with political office holders at the Government House in Ado Ekiti.

He said

“How can I can I commit suicide because of an old man? Such are from miscreants on the social media. Let me tell you expressly, why would I commit suicide, I cannot even commit suicide because of my mother.
“Even if they are burying my mother now, I will cleverly stay away from the grave so that I won’t fall into it. I can’t commit suicide because of Buhari. I never said that and would never make such statement. I never said I would commit suicide if Buhari returns.

He added:
“If not for our efforts Buhari wouldn’t have returned now. Buhari is sick and tired and even his physical appearance betrayed this and he needs to go home and rest.
“Today they have cancelled the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. You cannot hide the truth forever, it will reveal itself someday. You cannot continue to deceive Nigerians.
“Every word that has come out of my mouth, I have no apology for them.
“President Buhari was indeed in coma and one of those who visited him said his recovery is a miracle and that showed that he was indeed very sick.
“Let Buhari go back to Daura and rest. Don’t send him to early grave. Buhari is not old enough to be my father, my mother is older than Buhari. He cannot be my father, he can only be my uncle. I am close to 60. I stand by all I have said about the President. We are glad he is back, but don’t overflog him.
“I am not a sycophant and I stand to speak for Nigeria. Somebody must be able to speak on behalf of the poor masses. This was how they deceived us during the time of Yar’Adua.
“I am not a hypocrite and I will never be one. This country deserves a very healthy person. Office of the President is not for a sick man.
The President is tired and should be allowed to resign and go and rest. “

We never banned songs by Olamide, Davido, 9ice – NBC

                                                         Olamide, Davido and 9ice

ABUJA- The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC has refuted the report that it banned songs by major Nigerian musicians: Olamide, Davido and 9ice having considered them offensive for broadcast.

Olamide, Davido and 9ice Some of the banned songs includes: the Olamide’s “Wo” and “Wavy Level”, Davido’s “Fall” and “If (Remix)”, and 9ice’s “Living Things”. The NBC according to the report contained in some major new outfits released the list Tuesday, saying it banned the five songs from being aired across the Nigerian airwaves. The report had quoted the Federal Ministry of Health to have in a tweet on Friday, said the video to Olamide’s “Wo” violated the Tobacco Control Act.

“This is our position: the video contravenes the Act. Innocently or otherwise, Tobacco promotion advertising sponsorship is banned in all forms,” the NBC said. ‘‘The song was banned from being played on the airwaves for its “obscenity, being indecent, vulgar language, lewd and profane expressions,” said the report. But in an interview with Vanguard, the Director of Media in NBC, Mr. Antia Ekanem denied the report, saying that the report was false and handiwork of mischief makers to discredit the Comission.

Ekanem wondered how such fake and unprofessional report would have emanated from a highly reputed government agency and urged the general public to disregard it. According to him, the NBC had never contemplated nor thought of monitoring such songs that have not violated any broadcasting rules to warrant outright ban. ‘‘There was no iota of truth in the report. When we want to give out such information, we usually issue a statement. The originators of the story were only trying to be mischievous.

There is no element of nastiness in those songs to warrant ban. ‘‘If you look at the story very well, you will see NBC described as Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, whereas we are National Broadcasting Commission. We saw it and ignored it because it did not originate from us. I even contacted the Director General of NBC and he said I should try and make our colleagues understand that the story did not originate from us. ‘‘As far as I am concerned, we have more important issue at hand to handle than all these distractions,’’ he said.

2-Year old Suffers Injury To Head After Uncle Tortured Her For Excreting On The Bed

Two-old girl, Chidinma Okasu, escaped death by a whisker after an injury to her head reportedly affected her brain.

According to report, the child sustained the injury after being allegedly tortured by her uncle a certain Seyi Shodiya for excreting on a bed.

Shodiya, reportedly threw her off the bed and the survivor hit her head on the floor, collapsing on the spot.

Okasu was immediately rushed to the Alimosho General Hospital, from where she was referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

Okasu and 34-year-old Shodiya lived in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.

Punch Metro reports at Shodiya’s wife reported the incident at the Ikotun Police Station and the man was arrested.

“The suspect brought the girl from their village some months ago. As little as the girl is, the man tortures her whenever she excretes or urinates on her body.

“This particular incident occurred on May 30 while the girl was asleep. The suspect beat the girl and threw her on the floor because she excreted on her body and the bed.
“She passed out and was taken to the hospital. It was discovered that she had internal injury in the head and was transferred to LASUTH, where she had a surgery.”
LASUTH reported the matter to the state Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team.

The DSVRT Coordinator, Mrs. Lola Vivour-Adeniyi, said doctors at LASUTH battled for about two months to revive Okasu.

She said, “The child was in a coma for about two months in LASUTH. She even had to undergo a brain surgery before she came back to life. She has been moved to an orphanage.

“We learnt that the wife had warned her husband several times to desist from beating the girl. We tried our best to reach the wife to no avail. So, DSVRT has no option but to serve as the complainant of this matter.”

Shodiya was arraigned on Tuesday before an Ogba Magistrate’s Court on two counts bordering on assault.

The charge read in part, “That you, Seyi Shodiya, on May 30, 2017, at about 11pm, at Ikotun, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully and indecently assault one Chidinma Okasu, aged two, by beating her up mercilessly, thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.”

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty before the presiding magistrate, Mrs. D. Abegunde, who granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

The case was adjourned until October 9
