Fans Blasts Davido For $40 New York Show Flops!

HKN star, Davido is currently dealing with another phase of controversy as fans in New York are mad at him.

The artiste, who is currently in New York as part of a US tour, has been accused by his many fans of cheating them right there in the Big Apple.

The artiste’s first official US tour seems to have started on a bad note. Davido held a live concert in New York last night but hours later, a huge number of his fans took to social media to berate the Pop singer for his ‘bad behaviour’.

According to concert goers, the headline artiste (Davido) was billed to hit the stage at about midnight but did not do so until 3AM.

Fans had gotten irritated at this point, knowing that the show was to end in an hour. Davido is also said to not have performed his hit song ‘Skelewu’.

Fans who paid for regular tickets were charged $40 while VIP tickets sold for $75. The show (and US concert) was put together by Big A Entertainment .

Knowing fully well what had happened, Davido tried to correct the problem by tendering an apology on Twitter but it seemed too late as fans responded, blasting him.

‘Damn My NY was too packed police shut it down!! The love and support that came out was overwhelming!!! I will be back!’ @iam_Davido: ‘Feel so bad!!!!!!! Not my fault but I take the blame!!! I’m sorry!! Luv u guys 4real!! NYC!!!!!!Really sad! ‘, Davido wrote.

‘YOUR SHOW WAS FUCKIN STUPID AND LAME. YOU BETTER REFUND PEOPLE. I hope they call POLICE on you. You came on stage like 3:20am. Better refund people mtf ,’ Instagram user @kingarthur903 replied.

‘Never again, a big flop! Disappointment! People smoking weed, skelewu wasn’t even performed, you came way very late when people were tired & frustrated, the cops shut it down, so disorganize.

You should never come back to NYC to perform anymore because now nobody cares, & that’s a fact. Waste of makeup, energy, gas, money, everything.get your promoters right boo! (sic),’ user @africanqueen247 wrote.

‘u knew what you were doing when u planned to perform for 15 mins only! Don’t blame the police or the promoters! Stay humble or you will lose all of your fans!’ @goodjourney89 advised.

‘Fraud Artist! Next time don’t come on stage 30 mins befor the venue is about to close! And have your team perform instead! We ain’t pay to watch ur team! African artist gotta do better! Refund our fucking money and stop showing off our money on here! Waste of time smh, ‘ @ceciiif wrote.

It has also been reported that New York Police Department shutdown the concert right before it ended.

Ice Prince Signs Deal With World’s Biggest Music Corporation

Chocolate City hip hop artiste, Ice Prince, has signed a deal with the biggest music corporation in the world, Universal Music Group.

The rapper, who said the deal has been sealed and signed but is yet to be announced officially, didn’t give full details of the  deal.

Speaking with the Pulse in a recent interview, the rapper said, ‘I recently signed with Universal Music Group. the official announcement hasn’t been made yet. They will start first with my ‘I Swear’ track, which will be licensed in the UK, after which other tracks will follow.’

The deal will help the rapper expand his fan base and reach his audience globally through international channels.

Jesse Jagz releases 3rd album ‘JagzNation Vol 2: Royal Niger Company’ for free!

Last year, Jagz nation CEO, Jesse Jagz released the best Hip-Hop album in Nigeria.

Now, the talented rapper and producer who recently announced his third album ‘Jagz Nation Vol 2: Royal Niger Company‘ has given it up for free download on the internet.

The album was officially released on Friday, March 29, 2014 on his SoundCloud page.

The LP consists of 11 songs with features from Tesh Carter, ShowDemCamp, Jumar, DUGOD, Sarah Mitaru, Rexx as well as 2pac, Chaka Khan and Fela Kuti .

Sad News: Popular Nigerian Pop Singer Zara Feared Dead

Nigerian singer Margaret Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph better known as Zara is feared dead.

Zara’s close friend Lanre ‘Elbama’ Onipede some hours ago announced Zara’s death on social media Instagram accompanied with a photo of himself, Zara, Naeto C and General Pype. ‘Until we meet again….RIP Zara ‘, the message reads.

A moment before that he also wrote on Twitter;

‘I won’t cry,not this time,I thank GOD that you made piece before you left,RIP Zara‘.

Meanwhile, The Pop singer’s death was confirmed by her mother. A source close to us reached Zara’s mother on Zara’s US mobile phone number.

Her mother received the call and confirmed the sad news.

‘Her mother told me she passed away in the morning (March 28) in her home in Lagos. She sounded very sad on the phone ’, our source told us.

Olubankole Wellington (born March 27, 1981 , known under the stage name Banky W , is a Nigerian R&B artist.

Banky was born in the United States to Nigerian parents, but the family moved back to Lagos Nigeria when he was five years old where he began singing in his church choir at the age of 8.

After completing his secondary school Education at Home Science Association Secondary School, he moved to New York to attend college on a scholarship; earning a degree in Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

While still in college, he won the 'Albany Idol' competition, which catapulted him into the spotlight. He overcame many personal trials and obstacles to quickly become an in-demand artist on the local music scene; performing alongside major acts on tour.

He  wowed audiences with his silky smooth voice while building a loyal following; he established the Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E.) record label as a platform to get his music to his fans and began work on an EP.

In 2005 he released his first album, titled Back in the Building , containing the award-winning song "My Regret".The R&B/Soul album was released to critical acclaim; he had crafted a classic record and solidified his status as ground breaking artist.

Dem mama record boss Timaya still feels heartbroken about Patoranking’s exit from his label.

When Timaya was  asked about his relationship with Patoranking, Timaya got agitated and replied;

‘Am bigger than one guy level, I don’t want to leave my career to push his career, he is on another p, I put him somewhere else, I don’t have issues with Patoranking, I handled him first, paid for his Alubarika’s video’.

Patoranking hooked up with Timaya in 2012 and is believed to have signed with Dem Mama Records. He also began working with the label’s manager Prince Oluzor. 

In mid-2013, Dem Mama Records released Patoranking’s official debut single titled;

‘Alubarika ‘ and shortly dropped a video for it in August. It is however unclear who has been funding Patoranking’s project. ’ Alubarika ‘has been quite successful in Nigeria and Malaysia.

A Source close to Timaya tells us the  singer was surprised when he learnt Patoranking had ditched the label in January 2014.

‘Patoranking won’t pick up his (Timaya) phone calls anymore. He just left the label ‘; a source close to both parties tells us.

Meanwhile,  Timaya said his collaboration with Sean Paul would drop soon.
