It’s OFFICIAL!!: Samsung announce the Galaxy Core Advance, mediocre S3 clone (Everything you need to know)

Samsung has today announced a new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy Core Advance. With a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch WVGA display, a 2,000mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Beanrunning the show, the Galaxy Core Advance doesn’t stand out much in terms of specs. But Samsung is highlighting a range of new accessibility options on this device, designed to make it easier to use for disabled users and those with visual impairments.

A new optical scan feature uses the camera to recognize text, and reads it aloud.

A new light-sensing feature can detect the direction and brightness of light. And an instant voice recorder app allows users to make quick spoken notes. “Screen curtain” allows the device to be operated with a black screen, “to ensure privacy and save battery life.” A voice-guided camera app can also provide audio feedback on the picture being taken, for example giving the number of faces detected in the image.

The Galaxy Core Advance also sports a soft- touch plastic rear, much like the black Galaxy Note 3, in place of the glossy plastic more commonly found on Samsung smartphones.

And there’s a Galaxy S4 Active-style physical button setup on the front of the device, presumably to allow users to more easily feel each button before pressing.

Samsung says Galaxy Core Advance will be made available in “deep blue” and “pearl white” color options early in 2014, and should cost 38 to 41 thousand Naira only.

Signs Your Girlfriend Isn't Meant To Be Your Future Wife (A Must Read)

We are back with another love tip for you all, our lovely readers.
I know some of my female fans won't find this post funny but we still gotta make this post.

Are you ready?Ok,lets role...

Getting married is a life changing situation and something everybody wants to do right because nobody plans to walk down the aisle more than once…at least nobody in their right mind plans to.

If you are planning to walk down the aisle in the very near future and with the woman you are seeing and you need to be very sure she's the one, here are qualities that if she's got, she just might not fit into the role.

1. She's dependent- On you for everything. When she wants to buy the smallest thing, she dials your number and asks you to buy it for her. When she wants to make any important decision, she stalls and waits till you see each other.

When she needs to do things she should be able to handle on her own, she keeps waiting for you to come make the decision for her, then you need to think twice.
Nothing bad in making decisions togethter or helping her buy stuff but everything is wrong when it happens all of the time.

A wife needs to be independent. Be able to run the home when her husband isn't home and make important decisions when he is busy. You need an independent one not a dependent person. It is a wife you want not a pet.

2. Her dressing- believe it or not wife needs to apply a bit of modesty in her dressing when she gets married.

Now, easy as it is to say she'd change her closet full of skimpy and semi Unclad clothes when she says I do, she needs to begin to change it now.
You can only be used to things you have started practising.

There's a difference between a wife and a ho. If your wife dresses like a video vixen all the time or like a stripper, then expect no respect whatsoever when you are out together.

Besides, when the kids start coming, how do you want to explain to them why mommy keeps dressing like she raided a kindergarten store and took all their baby dresses?

3. She's rude- I know no man wants a woman who cannot respect him. Not as a girlfriend, not as a wife. So if your woman is rude(to you and to every other person around) and she shows no traces of changing, don't bother making her a wife.
The cracks would soon begin to show and you would hate yourself if you wife her.

4. She's emotionally unstable- if she is sweet today and she goes from that to extremely rude.and not bothered in the next minute and then obnoxious, then you need to relax a bit.

Find out what makes her flaky. If she's just that emotionally unstable person, then think twice about the relationship before taking the next step.
Bigger things come in marriage. If she can't handle courtship, she won't be able to handle marriage.

5. She lies- lying partners are the worst ever. No reason why you should even be with them in relationships talk less of marriage. If she lies, run!
You wife her and it is the beginning of your end!

6. You have absolutely nothing in common- if you both can't seem to find a common ground, then think twice.

When the initial "gra gra" is gone and all you have left is great friendship, you would need things to spice your marriage up.

This includes things you both love doing together. What happens when you hate what she loves and she hates what you love?

7. She mismanages everything- a woman who would rather buy an expensive weave than spend money on better things or who makes decisions that aren't smart where money is concerned or who would urge you to spend money on the most expensive cars rather than invest in reasonable things would not make a good wife.

Mariah Carey Departs Lagos In Private Jet | Photos

Maria Carey was in Lagos Nigeria yesterday for Access Bank end of year party and sending off of current chairman.

The multiple Grammy Awards winner left Lagos this morning in a special private jet, as she heads back to the States.

I was a studio rat — Sean Tizzle

Sean Tizzle is one of the fastest rising stars in Nigeria right now..The singer has being on  headlines lines for good reasons so far.

Enjoy his interview with Punch Nigeria.

Who is Sean Tizzle?
My real name is Morinhafen Oluwaseun. I am from Ilaje, Ondo State. I was born into a family of five and I enjoyed being the last child before another child joined me. I was born in Ikeja, Lagos in 1989, but my family relocated to Ikorodu. Growing up was fun but we had a lot of restrictions because our parents were strict disciplinarians. They are very good Christians too. I attended the Command Secondary School, Ibadan, and I was in a boarding house. I studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan.

Beyond Sean Tizzle, who is Seun?
I am calm, cool-headed, down-to-earth and straightforward. I am also very prayerful and playful.

When did you start your music career?
Professionally, I have been doing music for five years. My uncle was a gospel rap artiste and he introduced me into music. I started with a group called the ‘3-way band’. Initially, I was a rap artiste but I left. My first record was released in 2009 by my producer, D’tunes. Then in 2013, we unleashed the Sean Tizzle brand.

Do you think your fame came too late or too soon?

I’d been working on myself over the years and expecting this to happen. Everything has its own time. I have been a studio rat for most of my career life. I stayed in the studio, listened to songs and beats from established musicians, learnt how to harmonise tunes and a lot of other skills. My background is in the church and I would not say my fame came too early. I would rather say it came too late. But then, I also think it came at a time appointed by God.

This year must have been a good one for your career, isn’t it?

It has been great and I thank God. I have been travelling and working on more recordings. My new single, ‘Take It,’ is another instant crowd anthem. Life has been good. I hope to keep on working in this competitive industry.

Are you facing challenges?

The challenges are just the basic ones people have to face in order to make it. Challenges are normal in any business that must thrive.

Have you heard your fans say you look like Davido?
Yes. Some people still call me Davido. Davido has the same experience; people sometimes mistake him for me.

How do you feel when they keep doing that?

He is a friend of mine. It shows we are doing something right. Nobody knew that I look like Davido two years ago. It shows that God has brought me out and people have taken notice.

Is he somebody you look up to?
Yes. I love good music and I can look up to anybody who is making good music.

What inspired the song, ‘Shole’?
It was just a good beat from my label boss, D’tunes.

What is the meaning?

Shole simply means, ‘don’t prove hard to get.’ If you prove so, the next girl (kole) is not hard to get, so why make yours such a big deal? The song is directed at proud ladies, people who do what we call ‘forming.’ But I still love and respect them.

Is it based on a personal experience?
Not really. You know music is supposed to speak to people. If what I am saying has happened to anybody, the music would communicate to the person.

Do you envisage any of your songs having the same impact as Shole?

To me, all my songs are hits. Whenever I am in the studio recording, the song is already a hit on my mind. I always pray for God’s help and guidance before starting work on my songs. Besides, I keep reinventing myself by working all the time. The mind is like cutlass, when you don’t use it for a long time, it will become blunt.

How far has your music taken you?

It has taken me very far. I have won three awards so far. I was in the United States for Emmy Awards and I was also in London for a festival. I was on BBC radio and television. That is big. I have been travelling and performing outside the country since.

What happens when the successes don’t keep coming?
It will not happen. God will not let it come to that.

How is your love life?
I am single for now. I am just focused on my career.

How do you react to attention from female fans?
They are my friends. I love and respect them. I don’t have any crush on anybody, my only crush is music. When I have made enough money, then I will develop crush for ladies. You have to make money because someday, you will have to raise a home and have children. My family members are all professionals and I don’t want to be seen as a lazy person.

Has a lady broken your heart before?
Everybody has been heartbroken before. It is part of what we have to experience in life. You know ladies ‘form’ all the time.

How do you rate yourself among other Nigerian artistes?

I am just there. My fans are the ones who will decide. For me, I just want to keep doing my work. I leave it to the streets because the fans on the street determine how good we are. If they say you are good, then you are.

Who influences your music?

God is number one. I admire the music of D’banj, Femi Kuti and Wande Coal. I have different sounds, ranging from Fuji to hip hop and afro.

Have you ever had disappointments?

Yes. But we are strong and we keep pushing until we get there. It is not only in music alone, it is in everything we do. What brings about the evil also inspires the good and what brings about darkness causes people to think of light.

What is your assessment of the Nigerian music industry?
It is a good one. It is growing. Now, we have Europeans listening to our music.

What does style mean to you?

Style means everything to me because it is showbiz and it is about perception. I remember there was a time I was going on singlet, now I am looking formal. That means one has to move from a stage to the other.

What would you never wear?
Anything that does not suit me.

What is the next phase for you?

I have shows lined up. I am also dropping my album next year April. I have a soundtrack for Tunde Kelani’s movie, Dazzling mirage.

Nigerian Computer Hacker Jailed For Scamming Students In UK

Some  UK students had their bank accounts raided after Nigerian Olajide Onikoyi tricked them into handing over their passwords.

A computer hacker who broke into the bank accounts of hundreds of UK students after tricking them with bogus emails has been jailed for nearly four years.
Olajide Onikoyi, 29, from Manchester, sent fake emails to potential victims inviting them to click on a link to update their student-loan details.

But the website was bogus and Onikoyi used the personal details he collected to access the accounts and remove hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The Nigerian national helped launder £393,000 from 238 victims, including one student who had £19,000 taken from their account.

When police seized his computer, they found chat logs from cyber-crime forums that qrevealed he was conspiring with criminals in Russia, Lithuania and the UK.

A number of other people have also been jailed over the scam which police say involved a total of £1.5m stolen from unauthorised access to accounts.

At London’s Southwark Crown Court Onikoyi pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years in prison for conspiracy to defraud and nine months for money laundering, to run consecutively.

Detective Chief Inspector Jason Tunn of the Met Police's Cyber Crime Unit said: "My officers worked doggedly to secure Onikoyi's conviction.

"They examined numerous leads to identify members of this phishing gang, of which Onikoyi was a key member.

"He played a significant role in the scam by systematically targeting British students and UK financial institutions in order to steal large amounts of money that were then dispersed across numerous bank accounts."
