Lawyer Who Witnessed Princess Diana's Death Believes 'Other Forces' Were Involved In The Crash

Two decades after the death of Princess Diana, retired lawyer Stanlee Culbreath, who was one of the first witnesses to the tragic scene of the car crash that killed Princess Diana, has spoken out saying he believed "other forces" were involved in the accident.
His account goes thus:

The 69-year-old says Princess Diana was still alive after the accident and was talking but French emergency services had delayed in coming to her rescue, thereby reducing her chances of survival. He also said a policeman was at the scene but made no move to help the princess. Though he pleaded with the policeman, he was nonchalant and told those who tried to help to get away from the car. He said he remembers telling a friend at the scene that even a junkie on the street will get help faster.

Culbreath also revealed that when emergency services finally arrived and she was released from the car, they passed one hospital but did not take her in there. During the inquest, in 2007, it was disclosed that it took an hour and six minutes from the time Diana was taken from the wrecked car until she reached the hospital. The inquest heard the princess may have lived had French medics not "squandered" crucial minutes treating her at the scene.

Stanlee Culbreath said he remained silent all this while about what went down that night of Diana's death because her sons, William and Harry, were still too young and he wanted to protect them.

Culbreath said:

"I always thought it was suspicious, that other forces played a hand, but now, 20 years on, I question more than ever whether it was a genuine accident. I just think it is dubious.
"If that’s the Princess, why did it take 20 minutes or so to get to her and, when she was finally released (from the car), why did they pass one hospital and take her to another?"
Culbreath told how, at the scene, although at that time unaware Diana was in the wrecked car, he commented to a friend, "Damn, a junkie on Main Street would get waited on quicker than this".

He added: "There are so many questions I ask myself over and over again about how the accident was handled and if she could have been saved. I pleaded for the police to help, but they were very nonchalant about the entire thing.

Culbreath, of Columbus, Ohio, had been in Paris on August 31, 1997, as part of a European tour with his friends Clarence Williams and Michael Walker. They arrived in the city hours before the crash and took a late-night sight-seeing tour of the Eiffel Tower. As they made their way back to the hotel in a taxi at around 12.20am, they entered the Pont de l’Alma tunnel and were confronted with the smoldering wreckage of the Princess’s car.

"Our taxi driver stopped a few feet from their limo. We got out only a few feet away from their Mercedes. The car was up on the wall and the front passenger door was already open."

"We hadn’t heard the bang, as the crash happened just as we got into the tunnel. Their car was smoking, the muffler (from the exhaust) was on the floor. I went over and Trevor Rees-Jones had his legs out of the car and was holding a towel or something to his nose, as he was bleeding heavily. There were only four or five of us there, so I went over to the car and looked into it to see if we could help.

"I didn’t know who was in the back until later but at one point I was... a few inches away from the Princess trying to look through her window."

"I remember saying to the guys at the time, 'Is there an ambulance coming or something?' as there was no sign of one arriving. After 15 or 20 minutes, there was still no paramedic on the scene and I said to my friends, 'Damn, a junkie on Main Street would get waited on quicker than this'.

"There was only one cop there I could see who told us to get back. He kept saying, 'Get away, get away'.

"As the window’s in the rear were dark, I could not see who was the in the back. I was pleading with the officer to open the door... it looked like it could be pulled open. He wasn’t doing sh*t. He wasn’t doing anything. It was as if those there had decided nothing could be done. It’s just my opinion, but it took them a long time to get her out.

"It could have been up to 30 minutes before help came. We were there for at least 15 minutes. Why wasn’t an ambulance there quicker? I never heard an ambulance, the whole time I was there. I never heard a siren. My recollection was that there seemed to be an insurmountable amount time for an emergency vehicle to respond. I said to the guys, 'I’d hate to get into an accident in Paris as nobody shows up'.

He continued: "It’s common sense that the longer someone is left, their chances of survival are less. When we left, there still wasn’t an ambulance. The speed of which they responded was inadequate. Questions need to be asked."

Culbreath said he was also skeptical about the delay in getting Diana out of the wreckage and claimed the door on her side could have been opened.

He said: "I thought the car was in a condition where you could open the door. I didn’t feel there was enough damage to the car that you couldn’t open the back door – and the front door was already open. So why couldn’t you go through that door?"
He added: "She wasn’t dead, she was talking."

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte tells police to kill ''idiots'' who resists arrest

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte told police on Monday they were free to kill 'idiots' who violently resist arrest, two days after the funeral of a boy who was gunned down and left next to a pigsty by anti-drugs officers and in a direct message to his police officers, he said:

'Your duty requires you to overcome the resistance of the person you are arresting. If he resists, and it is a violent one, you are free to kill the idiots. That is my order to you.'

Duterte added that 'murder and homicide and unlawful killings' were not allowed and that police had to uphold the rule of law while carrying out their duties.
The Philippines leader unleashed the anti-drugs war  and thousands of people have been killed and the violence has been criticised by much of the international community.

The killing of schoolboy Kian Delos Santos by anti-drugs officers on August 16 has sparked rare public outrage.
Delos Santos was dragged by plain-clothes policemen to a dark, trash-filled alley in northern Manila before he was shot in the head and left next to a pigsty, according to witnesses whose accounts appeared to be backed up by CCTV footage.

A 40-year old man Kehinde Gabriel, has been arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court in Ikeja for allegedly defiling a three-year-old girl in Onaosa, in the Ibeju-Lekki area of the state.

Gabriel is a native of Ogun State and neighbour of the girl’s parents.

According to PUNCH Metro the child was on her way to a mosque with her sisters on August 16, 2017, but was left behind when the accused laid in ambush for her. Gabriel reportedly lured her into his home with a loaf of bread and drink before he defiled her.

The mother of the girl told the police that the kid returned home crying, adding that blood was found in her private parts.

She said,
“She went to the mosque with her other sisters on that day. After some minutes, she returned home with a bottle of drink and bread, crying.
“I asked her what was wrong and she said it was Uncle Kehinde (Gabriel) that gave the items to her. She was running temperature. While her father and I were checking her body, we saw blood in her private parts.”

Gabriel however denied committing the crime saying he only gave her the food because she complained of hunger.

He said,
“I saw the girl crying beside my house and I asked what happened to her. She said she was hungry and I gave her bread and beans. I did not defile her.”

The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Imhonwa, who brought the suspect to court, said the offence was punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

The charge read, “That, you Kehinde Gabriel, on August 16, 2017, on Ogunse Street, Onaosa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile a three-year-old, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.”

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with “two reputable sureties” each in like sum.

Osunsanmi added that the sureties must provide evidence of two years tax payments to the Lagos State Government.

She adjourned the case till October 17, 2017 and directed that the duplicate case file be sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

Kanayo O. Kanayo Has This To Say About The Ongoing ASUU Strike

Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo shared his opinion on the ongoing ASUU strike action caused by the failure of the Federal Government to meet the union’s long-time demands.

The star of hit TV series “Professor Johnbull“, Kanayo in an Instagram post insisted that both sides have a lot of work to do to resolve the issue at hand. He explained that just as Universities are funded by NGOs abroad, ASUU should also seek for other sources for funding.
He also stated that the Government would do well not to play politics with ASUU as the future of Nigerian students are at stake.
He wrote:
Hello Proximate People, a great evening salutation. Dress the way you want to be addressed. I was just dressing up for Lectures before the ASUU strike. Does the Government sponsor the Education sector abroad ? Why are there no strikes in the institutions in the West? Many nonGovernmental organizations fund the sector and relieve the Government of the burden of the management and control of this critical sector. A poorly managed education sector will only produce half baked products. Government must not play Politics with ASUU, so also must ASUU also statutorily seek for other funding modules. Enjoy a pleasant weekend #OverAndOut

Our quit notice to northerners, Yoruba stands – Niger Delta militants

The Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators has said that despite the withdrawal of the Igbo quit notice by the Arewa youths ,it stands by it's position that the northerners and the Yoruba in the oil-rich region must leave before October 1, 2017.

The militants, who spoke through an electronic mail made available to Punch on Sunday, rejected the call for the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

They maintained that call for Kanu’s arrest was used to replace the withdrawal of the quit notice earlier issued to Igbo people living in the North, adding the government and security agencies headed by northerners ignited the quit notice fire.

Part of the statement by the agitators read,
“It is our avowed determination to ensure that the Niger Delta remains focused on our demands for a total overhaul of the basis of our unity. We have therefore resolved to stand by our previous demands as follows:
“That the northerners and Yoruba should leave the Niger Delta before October 1, 2017; return of all the oil blocs own by northerners and Yoruba to Niger Delta people. Relocation of the oil and gas companies headquarters to their operational base as well as relocation of NNPC headquarters, all other offices that has to do with oil and gas; replacement of the Group Managing Director of NNPC.
“We reaffirm our resolve for the declaration of the Niger Delta Republic on 1st October, 2017. We reaffirm our resolve to resume attack on all the oil blocs that are owned by the northerners and Yoruba in the Niger Delta from September 10, 2017.
“We hereby call on PENGASSAN, NUPENG and international communities to withdraw their members/expatriates from such oil wells/blocs as we shall not spare any person found in such platforms, including NNPC offices in Abuja and Lagos, oil companies’ headquarters outside the Niger Delta region.”

You are still a police officer- Police declare Senator Misau wanted for desertion, forgery

The Nigerian Police Force said yesterday that Senator Isah Hamma Misau, is a deserter from the  organisation and that he will be arrested for the crime and possible forgery of a retirement letter.

It was the twist in the financial allegation slammed against the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris  by the Senator, who claimed that Idris diverted N10billion income made by the police.

The police responded by not only debunking the allegation, but also claiming that Senator Isah Mamman Misau deserted his post in Niger state seven years ago as a Deputy Superintendent.

According to the police, Misau  still exists on the Nigeria Police Force Officers Staff List as AP. No 57300 DSP Mohammed Isa Hamman. His last posting  was to Niger State Police Command on the 24 September, 2010. The police said the retirement letter which the Senator showed journalists may have been forged.

Read parts of the statement below

“The Force’s attention was drawn to the publications in the media attributed to the Senator captioned “Senator accuses IG of cornering N10b monthly IGR, taking bribe to post CPs to juicy states”.

” For avoidance of doubt, as earlier stated on 23rd August, 2017 during the Force press briefing with the media, Senator Isah Hamman Misau dubiously absconded and deserted the Nigeria Police Force on 24th September, 2010 when he was redeployed to Niger State Command and he refused to report, consequent upon which he was queried.
” The retirement letter presented to the journalists by DSP Mohammed Isa Hamman is suspiciously forged and dubiously obtained. The letter which was dated 5th March, 2014, a period of more than Four (4) years after AP No 57300 DSP Mohammed Isa Hamman (Senator Isah Hamman Misau) deserted the Force is now being investigated by the Force..

” AP. No 57300 DSP Mohammed Isa Hamman absconded from duty and deserted the Force on the 24th September, 2010 but contested the Bauchi Central Senatorial Election in 2011 General Elections under Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and got suspected forged retirement letter dated 5th March, 2014, this means that for four (4) years, he is still a Police Officer which made it a criminal act for him to contest election as a Police Officer in service and this is another fraud the Police is investigating against him. He also perpetrated an act of impersonation by acknowledging the receipt of the suspected forged retirement letter as a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP Hamman Isah) instead of his actual rank of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (Ref Suspected fake retirement letter)

“The Nigeria Police Force hereby declares DSP Mohammed Isah Hamman (Senator Isah Haman Misau) a deserter from the Nigeria Police Force; the Force will definitely take appropriate action in this circumstance as it has to do with a Deserter under the Police Act and Regulations, the Criminal and Penal Codes, stipulating a deserter as a suspected criminal under the law. All other security agencies in the Country are equally implored to assist the Nigeria Police Force in this regard.

“Members of the public are advised to disregard and discountenance all the allegations against the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force by DSP Mohammed Isah Hamman as totally unfounded and absolute falsehood.

” In conclusion, AP No 57300 DSP Mohammed Isah Hamman is still a Police Officer and not regarded as a Senator by the Nigeria Police Force. The retirement letter he is parading is a suspected forged document under investigation. ”

Indonesia jails its first female would-be suicide bomber

An Indonesian woman who was planning to blow herself up outside Jakarta's presidential palace has been jailed for seven and a half years.

Dian Yulia Novi, 28, (Pictured middle beside her husband)was arrested late last year on suspicion of plotting to blow herself up outside the palace during the changing of the guard. She was arrested along with her husband, Muhamad Nur Solikin.

It is the first time a woman has been convicted in Indonesia for planning such an attack.

Prosecutors had demanded a 10-year sentence for Novi, whom they said received instructions to carry out the attack from Bahrun Naim, an Indonesian militant believed to be fighting with Islamic State in Syria.
Novi's lawyer said Monday:
'Her sentence was reduced because she admitted to her actions.'
Judges delivered the verdict earlier than expected because Novi is pregnant and due to give birth in early September, her lawyer said.
Her husband is on trial for the same plot. His next hearing, at which he is expected to enter a plea, is scheduled for September 6.
Kamsi said Novi, who was believed to be radicalized through social media while employed as a domestic worker in Taiwan, did not intend to appeal her verdict.
