Everything You Should Know About KCee’s“Attention To Detail” Album

So Kcee is coming through with a new album. The Five Star Music lead artist is set to drop a new project titled “Attention To Detail”.

The project comes 4 years after his previous outing on “Take Over”, which was led by power singles ‘Limpopo’, and ‘Pull over’ featuring Wizkid.

A lot has happened since 2013. Five Star Music isn’t exactly the label that it was many years ago. Various episodes of infighting, squabbling and public lawsuits have stripped it of the team which created the last project. Singer Harrysong, Producer Del’B, and Manager, Soso Soberekon; three key men who were instrumental in that project, have left the building, and a new team is in charge.
Can they push for greatness? Can they enable the new music to dominate what is left of 2017 and beyond?

Kcee’s brand these days isn’t focused on music alone. The singer has declared his intentions to run for political office in his home state, Anambra. This has created a new dimension to his brand and his art, with the new album serving as a springboard for that. Sales from the project will be used to fund his political campaign. There will also be a lot of politicking dogging the new album, and influencing its reception in Nigeria.

But it is still art. The music on this will lead the way, and Pulse Music brings you everything you should know about the new project.

Release Date
The release date is already upon us. “Attention to Detail” album will be dropped on Thursday, August 24, 2017.
Kcee and his team picked a time in the year which is marked by the summer holidays. The album release comes a day before D’banj drops his “King Don Come” album, creating a mini-competition for publicity, attention and more.

Album Art

The album art shows Kcee in pensive mood, alone in a room as he grabs a rosary tightly. Kcee is of the Roman Catholic denomination of Christianity, and throwing that into the core marketing image of the project inspires ideas for the thematic direction of the project. And then there’s his outfit, which is surprisingly minimalist when compared to the previous project.
Collaborations
Kcee stacked “Attention To Detail” album with a healthy dose of collaborations. Utilising his profile and friendships in the music industry, the singer has guests on 10 songs. Most of the guests are stars from the Nigerian music industry. Falz, 2baba, Tekno, Flavour, Olamide, Patoranking, and Phyno who appeared twice are from his home country. Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale, and Kenyan superstars, Sauti Sol complete the project.
Producers
Surprisingly, a Multi-talented producer Mystro leads this project as the chief producer. The man who has made records for numerous stars in Nigeria carries the bulk of production. He is on 12 tracks, inclusive of released singles ‘Tender’, Desire’ and ‘Vanessa’.

Other producers on the project include Black Jerzey, Dr Amir, and Krizbeatz.

Release Strategy
The album will be released via all channels and distribution. It will be sold in all digital stores accross the world, with giants such as iTunes and Spotify being the leading platforms. Locally, there’s space for streaming platform MTN Music Plus, and others.
To promote the project, Kcee is organizing a tour of Eastern cities in Nigeria. Sources tell Pulse that Aba, Enugu, Owerri and Onitsha will be favoured destinations for the tour, where he will play sets from the projects.

Expectations
There are almost no expectations for Kcee. Having spent over a decade in the music industry, Kcee has scored numerous hit records and boasts a decent following in pop music. The new album will simply be an extension of his successful run in the game, and if we get lucky, we just might have pop hits dropping from this project.

‘People won’t watch your movie but will want to take a picture with you’ – Omoni Oboli

Omoni on set with Ramsey
Omoni Oboli  may have her movies among the top 10 highest earning movies so far in 2017, but she says it’s still difficult persuading Nigerians to watch Nollywood movies at the cinemas.

The actress, who has reportedly grossed about N161m from Okafor’s Law and Wives On Strike, said those kind of people would not watch her movies but still want to take pictures with her.
Some people really don’t know how to talk or they just feel like they don’t care. Sometimes, people say stuff like ‘I don’t watch Nollywood films.’ ‘Why should I pay to see your film?’ ‘How can I come to the cinema to watch home video?’
I’m like ‘it’s not home video, there’s a difference.’ There are some made for cinema Nigerian movies and there are home video movies. So, if you’re watching it in the cinema, it’s a made for cinema Nigerian film.
It’s quite difficult convincing some people. Some people have their minds made up, there’s nothing you’re going to say to them. They won’t watch your movie. Some of those people, after not watching your film, will want to take a picture with you.

Here’s What Ebube Nwagbo Had To Say About First Ever Movie Role In Nollywood

Nollywood star actress, Ebube Nwagbo in this interview with Entertainer, opens up on her career, first movie role, most challenging role and new movie, Not Enough.

Read excerpts:
How did you become an actress?
I went for an audition like every other person and luckily. I was picked and got the lead role.
What are you currently working on?
I have just released my second movie entitled, Not Enough. It is my second movie as a producer.
What inspired you to go into movie production?
It was the passion I have for what I do. I also thought it was time for me to spread my tentacles, try out other things and develop myself. Also, I wanted to give back to an industry that has given so much to me and made me who I am today.
What are the basic challenges you face as a producer?
There are lots of challenges one faces as a producer and they range from creativity to originality. There is also the challenge of trying to come up with something different from the norm because most people are into producing now. Besides that, funding a production is not easy because you invest a lot into the project. With the economic situation of the country now, making sales is not guaranteed. And being accepted as a producer is not that easy because it entails a lot to be a good one, it is not a joke.
What message are you trying to pass through the movie?
The movie is centered on the youths of today looking for short cuts. They want to have the shortest cut to success and accomplishments in life. We need to set our priorities right at an early stage in order to secure our future. The decisions you make today, the life you live today determines your future. The movie also sheds light on the young girls of today that get pregnant without prior planning or knowing what they really want in life, thinking that getting pregnant for a man will make him marry or love them. Love can’t be forced. The movie, Not Enough also sheds light on weak parental guidance and peer pressure. It is a family story that has a lot of messages and lessons in it.
Has it been easy to combine acting and movie production?
It has not been easy combining acting and producing but it is what I love to do. It keeps me on my feet. I try to tell stories that are not only entertaining but also educating, stories with morals to learn from and messages to pass across.
Tell us about your most challenging movie role?
Every movie comes with its own challenges because you are being someone else at every point in time. But one of the most challenging movies ever was my first film as an actress. The movie was entitled, Arrested By Love. It was my first time facing the camera and I was playing lead. I didn’t have an idea of what I was going into or what I was doing. But big thanks to the cast and crew of that amazing job. They believed in me more than I believed in myself.

Buhari works from home as rodents took over his office during long absence-Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari, who resumed duties Monday after a 103-day medical vacation abroad, will operate from his official residence until the completion of the renovation of his office, the Presidency said Monday.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Shehu Garba, told THISDAY that the president’s office needed renovation because of its devastation by rodents during the president’s long period of absence.

“Following the three months period of disuse, rodents have caused a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units,” he said, explaining that it was impossible for his boss to operate from the office in that condition.
Garba, however, said this would not affect the effectiveness of Buhari’s work since the residence has an annex to the office, adding that the president had been carrying out his duties from home since he resumed.

Saying he could not tell when the renovation would be completed, the presidential spokesperson stated that the maintenance company that was seen at work Monday at the Presidential Villa by THISDAY had been asked to speed up its pace of work.

Men just need kids and control, they cheat ..-T oyin Lawani defends her stance on not believing in marriage

Yesterday,Fashion entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani caused a stir when she revealed she doesn't believe in marriage.Last night, she took to social media to elaborate.According to her, especially in this part of the world, men get married just to have kids and control the woman.
She says they cheat and put wives through shame. Her advice is,marry your best friend who would not bring shame to your home.
She wrote

If I didn't say😜this it will be a case of I said that, please remember that we all have our notion about life and the situations we have been through, have overtime, influenced our thought process.Marriage is just a platform which humans need to use in defining and consoling each other, but at the end of the day,men just need kids👍🏻cause it's important&we are the oven.most men think we belong in the kitchen. They hate when women are in control. I write this from an informed position" been there, done that". I have been with someone who's richer than me&also been with someone who I'm richer than, which has been a worthwhile experience to have a balanced viewpoint.
As a woman, when you are at the receiving end in marriage, men just want to control you.I long for a situation where love strives&my drive for success is encouraged without my man being intimidated.most women make their men feel bad but I don't,I'm humble&respect my man,age regardless.cse they are our kings,But men will always be men&women need to align with that fact&not try to change that.even pastor Sef dey cheat, just pray to God to send u your Bestfriend, who will respect you enough not to bring shame into your home.
At the end of the day everyone deserves to be happy, but not to stay in a bad marriage at the expense of their Happiness.Men cheat&all that money lavished on wedding becomes a waste, you go through divorce&your kids will be subjected to mental punishment. No woman on earth can Replace a father,I will rather spend my lifetime with my Bestfriend knowing we have each other till the end.
People need to stop getting hassled into marriage&in the process, settle for the available (wrong man). let the will of God prevail in your life journey. If u hv a partner for ten years and eventually get married then that implies you have settled for a true friend whose friendship will permeate your union. married women in this part of the world sacrifice the most&still subjected to abuse&disrespect from their spouses .Where is the principle of equity&fairness.it's a 50/50 thing,"sacrifice for me&I will sacrifice for you".I love my career bt my kids come first,Be best friends then marriage will come.
At Gods time🙏🏻

” We are here to say sorry and regret the issue and assure you that such things will never happen again.
” On behalf of the King, the Governor of Madina and all the royal leaders in this kingdom, we are here to once again express our apology to you for what has happened and to assure you that the Kingdom will never allow such a thing happen again”.

It took the intervention of the Secretary of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON ), Dr Bello Tambuwal, before they were released

Tambuwal, who is also the Coordinator of Medina Hajj Operation, petitioned the Saudi Ministry for Hajj Affairs over the issue and demanded immediate action on the perpetrators. (NAN)

Floyd Mayweather enraged as Justin Bieber unfriends him to avoid bad influence

It's no news that Justin Bieber and Floyd Mayweather were best of friends ,with Justin even accompanying Mayweather to the ring, during his fight with Pacquiao. But now, that friendship has fizzled out after Bieber rededicated his life to Christ.

According to TMZ,Justin Bieber is not only off Floyd Mayweather's Money Team, he's now one of Floyd's mortal enemies as the musician unfollowed the boxer on Instagram.

Sources connected to both Justin and Floyd say, the folks at the Hillsong Church have been counseling Justin for months on taking a hard look at his friends and pulling back from those who are bad influences.
Church pastors did not single out Floyd as a bad influence, but Justin decided on his own he needed some distance. TMZ sources say Justin didn't want a clean break from Floyd, he just wanted to "reset boundaries" ... walling himself off from things like Floyd's obsession with strip clubs.

Justin unfollowed Floyd on Instagram as part of the resetting of boundaries, and sources say Floyd went "insane, nuclear." He lashed out at Justin, called him a "traitor" because Floyd had stuck with Justin during his meltdown when everyone was attacking Bieber.

Sources connected with Floyd say the boxer continues to be incensed at Justin ... screaming incensed.

This must be planned- Father of murdered 8 year old girl cries out as suspect escapes from police custody

On Monday when members of the public learnt that Ifeanyi Dike, the man who allegedly raped, killed and removed vital organs of an eight-year-old girl, Victory Chikamso, had escaped from the police custody.

The father of the victim, Dr. Ernest Nmezuwuba, who was at the State Criminal Investigation Department when the suspected murderer and ritual killer escaped from police custody, said Dike took advantage of the darkness within the SCID’s premises to escape.

Nmezuwuba, who spoke during a Port Harcourt-based radio’s programme,said,

“We were there with the suspect in handcuffs. When we got to the state CID, there was no light in the entire State CID. I wrote my statement with candle; imagine a whole state CID (without light). Then Johnbosco removed the handcuffs from the suspect’s hands for him (suspect) to write his statement.
“At a point, the boy (Dike) said he was thirsty and Johnbosco said I should buy pure water for him and I asked him (‘John; are you crazy? Is something wrong with you? Why would you ask me to buy water for a person that killed my daughter? Why would I buy water for a ritualist?’ And I told Johnbosco that it was none of my business.
“Some policemen were at the gate with guns while we were at the charge room writing statement. After we finished writing our statements, Johnbosco called the IPO to go and put the suspect in the cell. The suspect was not handcuffed at that time.
“They did not walk up to a pole when I heard hold am, hold am; he has escaped. Whether he jumped the fence or not, I cannot say because the entire place was dark; it was between 7.30 and 8pm (Saturday night). I now told Johnbosco that you know what you are doing.
“They (policemen) came out with torchlight and checked under the cars parked there. Then I saw the DCP, I mean the Deputy Commissioner of Police and he said; what nonsense is this? He then asked after Johnbosco and he was told he (Johnbosco) was inside. The DCP then said that they should handcuff both his hands and legs.”

Nmezuwuba expressed disappointment in the police, accusing them of playing game with a heinous crime against humanity, even as he vowed that he would never allowed it to be swept under the carpet.

He said, “My brother, I cannot understand this country; this must be a planned game and I must fight it to the end. They have to provide that suspect. The Rivers State Police must provide him while Johnbosco should remain in detention.
“This incident has proven the kind of country we are living. What is going to happen in this particular matter; honestly speaking, heaven will hear it. The whole world will hear it.”

On his relationship with Dike, he said,
“The boy (suspect) is related to me; we are from the same village. He killed my daughter inside his room. Ifeanyi Dike’s landlord is my in-law and also his own in-law. The landlord was arrested and the same day, they released him (landlord).  The name of the landlord is Pius Nwoko.”

Dike, who had allegedly defiled, killed and removed the vital organs of eight-year-old Chikamso, was caught by a local vigilante, who immediately handed him over to the police on Saturday.

However, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Zaki Ahmed, who was visibly sad and angry over the development, explained that the suspect escaped under the cover of the night and promised that the police would soon arrest him.

Describing the incident as an individual negligence, Ahmed stressed that the police had deployed human and material resources towards ensuring that the suspect was apprehended.

The CP said,
“What I am saying is that it was an individual negligence that caused it. The escape happened in the presence of the complainant; that is the parent of the girl. The boy (suspect) escaped under the cover of the night.
“But we are making every effort, every move and by the grace of the Almighty God, within a short time, he will be arrested. We are not relenting. We know that this is a serious problem; it can happen to anybody.
“We are not relenting and by the grace of God, we will get him arrested. It is too bad it happened, but it is one of those things. Sometimes, things can happen this way.
“We have moved a lot of resources; both human and material resources, to ensure that the culprit is arrested. We call on the people to confide in us if they have any useful information. I will act on it.”
