How to handle a tyre burst while driving - By FRSC
Following the recent death of Minister of State for Labour,James Ocholi, his wife and son, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has released tips drivers should adhere by in the situation of a burst tyre..
STEPS 1: Start with maintaining a safe driving speed; there are just no two sides to this.The lower your speed, the higher your chance of survival. A blowout at 80–90 km/h (50–56 mph) will be far less dramatic than one at 140–150 km/h (87–93 mph). Indeed, if you survive a tyre burst at 150 km/h (93 mph), consider it a gift of God.
STEP 2: Do not slam on the brake pedal. Of course, this is easier said than done, as our brains are hardwired to instinctively jam the brake pedal in an emergency. Hard braking is actually the worst thing you can do as it will further imbalance the vehicle and throw it out of control.
STEP 3: Don’t abruptly take your foot off the accelerator. Do it slowly and gradually. In fact, Michelin recommends that you maintain accelerator input momentarily, before releasing it slowly. The deceleration force from a blown tyre is so strong that your car will anyway slow down rapidly. If you have engaged cruise control, be sure to disengage it immediately.
STEP 4: Try your best to keep the vehicle pointed straight. Cornering or turning with a blown tyre will greatly upset the car’s composure. If your car is pulling to one side, you might need to pull the steering in the opposite direction to keep it going straight. This is critical, else you risk drifting into the road divider or worse still, the opposite lane.
STEP 5: Do not attempt to over-correct. The key is to maintain the vehicle’s stability. A sharp yank of the steering wheel can result in a rollover. Even when you have gained control and are slowly moving to a safe parking spot, do so with the mildest steering inputs possible.
STEPS 6: Allow the vehicle to gradually coast to a stop. Use engine braking if necessary. Lightly engage the brakes only when your car has decelerated to a slow speed. Use the turn indicators and pull over safely off the road. Drive on the bare metal wheel if you have to, but do not stop in the middle of the road as you run the risk of getting rear-ended by a speeding car. Remember to activate your hazard lights when stopped.

Sounds like a fable but,it real.Meet the loyal penguin who travels 5,000 miles every year to visit the man who saved him from the brink of death.
Retired bricklayer and part-time fisherman Joao Pereira de Souza, 71, found the animal back in 2011 when he washed up on a beach, starving and covered in oil.
Joao, who named the penguin Dindim after discovering him in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, decided to take the creature home and nurse it back to health.Once Dindim was well again, Joao released him back into the wild - and didn't expect to see the penguin ever again.
But just a few months later, the South American Magellanic penguin returned to the beach and followed Joao home.
According to Globo TV, Dindim spends eight months with Joao and the rest of the year breeding off the coast of Argentina and Chile - 5,000 miles away.
Joao told the Brazilian news channel:
"I love the penguin like he's my own child and I believe the penguin lovesme."No one else is allowed to touch him. He pecks them if they do. He lays on my lap, lets me give him showers, allows me to feed him sardines and to pick him up."He arrives in June and leaves to go home in February, and every year he becomes more affectionate as he appears even happier to see me."

A very close 'married' friend of mine came around the other day asking me for help. He is into construction and due to the dwindling financial situation in the country he hasn't sold a house in almost 1 year. So he hands over his iPhone to me to show me some of the his properties asking me to scroll through his gallery.
After scrolling through about about 25 pictures of houses I stumbled upon a naked 'kpekus'. I tried to quickly scroll away, but before I could my eyes swallowed another and another and another. There were an assortment of pictures of different 'bits' and 'pieces' of a woman's naked body without showing her face.
A bit embarrassed, I handed his phone over to him. Without a hint of shame, he explained to me that that was his separated account manager he has been 'shagging' for a while. According to him, she has a son and she is hot!!!! As I write this, my mind's eye, I still clearly sees the expression of excitement in his eyes as he described every detail of her body (the remaining 20% I missed in the pictures) he even offered to bring her over to Chocolat Royale so I could meet his 'trophy'. 2 days later, I stepped out of a meeting in the office only to see about 16 missed calls of which 13 were from my friend. I returned his call and he complained about me not picking my phone that he was at Chocolat Royale with his 'babe' and he wanted me to meet her.
So I rushed out of my office to Royale to meet them. She was sitting with her back towards the door when I walked in and
I mentally tried to match the pieces I had seen on my guys phone to that of the lady in front of me and then she turned around to greet me with a smile that faded immediately she set her eyes on me! My friend must have told her he had a surprise for her or not even told her at all trying to surprise her because I guarantee that if this woman knew she was coming to meet 'freeze' she would never have agreed as she is the wife of one of my schoolmates who resides in Yankee.............
Here I am, staring at my friend's wife sitting next to my other friend, who I know is an absolute freak. I know he must have dissected her body and used it to its maximum potential. My friend also never uses protection because he is quite 'endowed' and finds it uncomfortable. He is married and has a string of girlfriends. His wife may or may not have an affair and his girls are mainly university students he is 'taking care of'.
Experience has shown me that most university girls dating rich men, usually have one or two 'school boyfriends' who cater to their school needs i.e. Club parties, academic issues etc. My fear for my pastor friend is that he now comes home from America once or 2ce a year and dips into a grimy pool of illnesses and issues both physical and spiritual, shared by at least 20 and as many as 50 other people, because as the saying goes, "you have slept with everyone your partner has slept with". I am still in a serious dilemma right now, do I tell my friend or do I hold my tongue and 'save their marriage'?
Anyway back to the main issue........ There are many differences between Kim Kardashian and my pastor friend's wife. One is Kanye knows his woman, this includes her abilities, shortfalls etc while my pastor friend 'thinks' he knows his wife. He is probably worshiping in the church of 'assumption' right now, thinking his wife is a good, decent girl.
The second issue is while his 'decent' wife only earns peanuts for her nudes and requires him sending her a monthly allowance from the US, Kim just paid Kanye's $53million debt. Rewind to about a month ago when I put up a post saying I would want to have a Kimye relationship with bae he called me up, telling me, in his own words, "to stop glorifying a morally bankrupt woman and her sinful relationship". My question now, is his own relationship less sinful & more morally upright? Over to Piers Morgan who accused Kim of being 'desperate'. Piers your last real job was in 2004 since then you have been hustling like a 2 dollar hooker. You failed in your 'attempt' to take over from Larry King & you call her desperate?"

Buhari tells Zuma-MTN's delay in sim registration caused Nigeria 10,000 lives
President Mohammadu Buhari has blamed network provider, MTN for the loss of 10,000 lives due to the delay in the registration of sim cards . Speaking at a joint press conference with the visiting South African president, Mr. Jacob Zuma at the presidential villa, Abuja ,Buhari defended the $3.9b fine on MTN by the Nigeria National Communication NCC..
He said:
“This is the first time I will personally as a president be making a public comment about it. The concern of the federal government is basically on the security and not the fine imposed on MTN. You know how the unregistered GSM are being used by terrorists. “And between 2009 and today, at least 10,000 Nigerians were killed by Boko Haram. That was why NCC asked MTN, Glo and the rest of them to register GSM. Unfortunately, MTN was very, very slow and contributed to the casualties”.
The South African company has so far paid $250 million..

Nigerian sex trafficker who forced girls to eat snakes ordered to pay £20,000
A brothel madam who used voodoo curses to force young girls to become sex slaves and made them eat live snakes has been ordered to pay back more than £20,000 out of her profits.
Lizzy Idahosa, 26, made more than £186,000 out of the Nigerian women, who were terrified with black magic and made to see a witch doctor for a sinister 'juju' ceremony, a court heard.
The two victims, aged 23 and 29, had their pubic hair shaved and were forced to eat live snakes and snails as part of the ritual before being flown to Britain where they slept with men across the country.
Idahosa was found guilty of trafficking the women at Cardiff Crown Court and was jailed for eight years in November 2014 - while her husband Jackson Omoruyi, 41, was sentenced to two years.
But prosecutor Eugene Egan told Cardiff Crown Court that investigators could find only £21,900 in Idahosa’s bank accounts.
Judge Tom Crowther ordered Idahosa to pay the cash traced to her accounts - or face a further nine months in prison.
Speaking about her horrific ordeal, one 29-year-old victim said:
'It was not a big snake, but it was alive.I just closed my eyes and put it in my mouth.'They told me if I messed if up, I would get sent back to Nigeria and Lizzy would kill me. I wanted to stop. I was ashamed of myself and I had no life.'
When the women arrived in the UK they were put to work as prostitutes, working in brothels at massage parlours across England and Wales.

Kanye West Says He Promised President Obama He’d Produce On Nas’ Next Album
Kanye West was back at with the twitter fingers Friday night, but this time he wasn’t ranting or causing drama. Instead, the G.O.O.D. Music leader gave fans something look forward to other than his upcoming Turbo Graphx16 album when he announced that he'd be producing on Nas' next album, or least at that's what he promised President Obama anyways.
The tweet surfaces just hours after 'Ye & Nas linked up in the sandy desert of Mojave, California to shoot the music video for French Montana’s Wave Gods collab “Figure It Out.” (seephotos here) So they had just spent the entire afternoon together.
'Ye followed up the promise, by adding that “we need to bring Max B, Lord (Timothy Ballard) and Barkim back home @nas @FrenchMontana#Harlem#QB” in a tweet.
Ironically, it was just a couple weeks ago when French revealed that Kanye didn't even know who Max B was originally, but I guess things have changed.
As for when that Nas album could be coming? That's anyone guess, but its anticipation just got that much bigger.

Buhari expresses shock over death of Minister of State for Labour,Wife & son
President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sadness over the death of the Minister of State for Labour, Barrister James Ocholi ,SAN, on sunday.
Ocholi died alongside his wife and son in a car crash along Kaduna road, Abuja
In a statement by Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesman, president Buhari described Ocholi’s death as untimely, regretting that Nigeria has lost a key component of the change agenda.
He also described the deceased as an accomplished and patriotic Nigerian.
“Barrister Ocholi was an accomplished and patriotic Nigerian, who was keen to accept the call to service at a time his country needed him,” he said.
President Buhari also extended his condolences to the government and people of Kogi State.
May their soul rest in peace.Amen.
