It’s no longer news that one of the actresses in Nollywood who is working very hard to be enlisted amongst the A-List actresses, Chika Ike is divorced.

Recently, we learnt that Tony Eberiri the ex. husband, has cautioned her to desist from posting rubbish about him on social media.

The husband, according to a source, strongly warned the actress to desist from accusing him alone as an architect of their marriage misfortune.

It was gathered that, the man blasted her to stop all the campaign of calumny or face the wrath of the law.

If you recall, Chika who was always talking about her life on social media posted a picture she snapped in the court of law during her marriage case brouhaha. And just of recent, she was said to have quoted, through her manager, that she was a victim of domestic violence; all these have been debunked by the gentle disposition husband who said all she has been talking about is total gabble and has no substance at all.

Well, close family source hinted that, the husband has sent strong warning to her to desist from such act as soon as possible.

Chika in her response allegedly said ‘What do you mean! Don’t you know I am a star?”

I know most of you still remembers him.After lying low for months, NSCDC's Shem Obafaiye has finally granted his first interview. And in it, he revealed how his life has changed after his 'Oga a the top' saga - the shame, the joy and the fame that came with his much publicized interview with Channels TV.
Read excerpts of his exclusive interview with Theheraldng below:

What is your opinion about the Channels Television interview that brought you instant fame?

I have nothing much to say other than to bless God for everything. I thank God for all that happened; I thank God for my boss, his support and love. He is a good boss and I appreciate him. As far as I am concerned all things work well for those who love God and in all things, the Bible says we should praise God. The people that thought they were going to ruin me did not know that they would end up in announcing my destiny.
In the history of humanity, there had never been any human being that had instant fame like I did especially in a case that was meant to end negatively.

My brother-in-law in London is even so excited about the incident that he promised to assist me make big money out of this supposed mess. He had already handed the matter to an agency over there to trade mark “Oga at the Top.” But I just asked him to forget it.
There is no need for that.

Many of my class mates are in top positions in Nigeria currently, yet, they said I did not go to school. I can mention a lot of them here, including the Attorney General in Lagos State, Ipaye.

But why should I do all that. All the same, I give all the praises to God.

It was not the first interview I would be having with them (Channels Tv). After that interview we shook hands and I even gave them my complimentary card. I could see that they were not really cheerful. If there was any effect, it was on them and not me. It was the same day I met with Governor Fashola of Lagos State.

Theirs took place in the morning and I met Governor Fashola later in the day. Some people believed they were up to something, but I did not know. I was only being careful with words as a security officer. We apply caution in all that we say and do. It was a live programme, the whole world was watching us, so, I did not want to be too free.

But like I said, I thank God for everything. I blame nobody for anything; I see everything as an act of God. They believe they would use it to destroy my destiny but God turned everything around for me, for the better.

How did your family take the development?

The day of the interview, 16th of March, 2013, was the day my father was buried. It was as if it was designed to destablise me on the day of the burial of my father, but it was not so. It was three or four days after that they apologised and said it was not meant to embarrass me.

Channels felt bad because it backfired. Anybody that wants to go for an interview in Channels will be very skeptical now and henceforth. I just felt it was my time for divine announcement, so I did not take it the way they thought I would take it.

In fact, when I saw the T-shirt, I wanted to buy one. Some had thought that my transfer to Ibadan was a demotion, but they are wrong. It is not. They also claimed that my wife went to Channels over the issue. The question I asked was, to do what? She did not. The whole thing has only turned around to be God’s glory in my life.

What is your philosophy of life and how did it apply in the case of “My Oga At The Top” case?

My philosophy of life is to impact positively on this generation. I want to leave a legacy, a good and worthwhile legacy behind that will not make my family live or walk in fear when I am gone. I want to sustain my good name; and that is what I preach to my staff every day.

I tell them to be open-minded; be determined; do what you will do with your best ability whether people are there or not. Note that there are people watching you and your work will speak for you when you are not there. This is what I always tell them.

The Ho Municipality has begun a seemingly bizarre policy in which residents trade faeces and urine for cash.

The dry toilet technology is an initiative from a University of Applied in Finland in which faecal matters are turned into manure for purposes of growing vegetables.

The urine is separated from the faeces and allowed to decompose for about 6-12 months. Saw dust is used in treating the faeces in a seperate chamber to speed up dehydration.

Residents are ready to cash-in on the new initiative.

Officials of the Municipality tell Joy News they will use the initiative to tackle open defecation in the community and also produce manure to improve agriculture in the country.

Davido in a recent interview with CityPeople just when he got back from his European tour explains that he is more mature and has got a hold of his celeb status and how to manage his lifestyle. He also further explained that at this moment, there is no woman in his life.

He explained ”I’m single and chilling, i’m 20 years old”……. and to the question of s£x, he replied saying: ”…the only s£x I see is when I’m filling in a form and they ask, ‘male or female’ and I choose male.”

Gabriel Oche-Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G ranks among the most celebrated entertainers in the country.

However, he is controversial, which makes people to see him in different light.
The talented musician cum producer in this interview with The Entertainer talks about his career, family and why he prefers to be called Lucifer. Excerpts:

You recently had a concert in Abuja. Tell us about it?
It was my album release concert. The title of my latest album is Book of Ginger, so we tagged the event Book Of Ginger Concert. It was held at the This Day Dome, Abuja.

How was the concert?
Terry G: To God be the glory, it was a massive success, even beyond my expectation. Honestly, I can’t thank everybody who made it a success enough. I need to thank people like Charly Boy, Timaya, AY, Klint Da Drunk, Skales, Solid Star, Gordons, Denrele, Kcee, Akpororo, Jaywon, Chuddy K and Ozzybosco.
They really made the concert a success with their contributions. Based on the success of the Abuja edition, my fans in other parts of Nigeria have been clamouring for such concert in their places. I promise they will have it. My team has actually considered more states where the Book of Ginger Concert will be held subsequently.

You had your first child sometime ago. How does it feel to be a father?
Terry G:It’s the happiest thing that has ever happened to me. There is always a feeling one has never felt before, especially when it is the first time. It’s full of new experiences, and the truth is that it has brought good luck to my life.

Has it changed anything about you?
Terry G:Yes, definitely. It has changed my lifestyle; I’m now a homely man, always at home playing with my kid. It has made me to be calm.

Tell us about his mother, Mimi?
Terry G:She is lovely, understanding and very intelligent. It is always difficult to find the right partner, but I’m lucky to have found her.

How and when did your paths cross?
Mimi and I have been together for five years now. We have also been working together, she has been in charge of my music affairs, and when it comes to the organization of my projects, she has been quite supportive. Though, she doesn’t come out in public, she has been awesome.

What attracted her to you?
Terry G:I told you it is very hard for men of nowadays to find the right woman. What I was looking for was a homely girl; that is the best attraction any man can get. Even your mum will tell you that you must bring home a responsible girl. That is the image she has.

Many people don’t know you also direct musical videos. What can you say about this?
Terry G:I have been getting compliments from people as regards this. I direct most of my videos. I directed See Groove, So High, AK-One as well as Pull-Off.

When did you discover the skill?
It has been there for a long time, there has not been the right opportunity to exploit it. It has to do with your imagination. As an intellectual artiste, you should be in the best position to interpret the visuals of your songs. You just need one or two technical abilities. I have actually waited for this time and we are getting there.
Your personality means different things to different people. Who actually is Terry G?
Terry G is just a businessman, and a man who has chosen a path to follow. He is a crazy entertainer on stage, up to date and energetic.

When you first came to the industry you referred to yourself as Mr. Bling Bling, later it was Ginger, Akpako Master, and now you said people should call you Lucifer (devil)?
Terry G:A lot of people got it wrong. Nevertheless, I’m in support of controversy. I knew it was going to cause controversies. What I actually meant was ‘look, see far’; meaning I’m seeing ahead. I told my crew members that it was going to generate controversies and I’m enjoying it.

To what extent do you enjoy controversies?
Not 100 percent because there are some controversies that are accidental; you don’t plan for them; and there are some controversies that come for good. For instance, I just had a baby, bought a car; these are positive controversies that everybody likes. Let me say I like positive controversies.

Considering how wild you are, many people will not believe that you started music from the church, and as a gospel artiste?
Sometimes, you need to put yourself in people’s shoes. When a preacher is preaching to you, and you already knew all what he was going to say, it might not sound interesting. I think God knows why He chose a path for everybody because if you look at it, everybody seems to have done gospel music at some point. It worked for some people, and didn’t work for some. That is because we have different purposes in life.

I know you recorded a gospel album before delving into secular music. How would you describe yourself between then and now?
Terry G:I will say it was a process. Everything in life demands experience. Some people are there right now just because they understand the market. It will get to a level where you will understand that it is more than just singing; it has to do with showbiz – the talent and business side of it. So, I have understood that with time, there are certain ways you can still do it.

Are you saying gospel music don’t sell?
I didn’t say so. The truth is that in all my albums, there is an element of gospel. There will be a track where I will praise God. Gospel music comes from the heart, because what you sing should portray who you are. You can be singing gospel music and still be a great sinner, so you can’t judge me for playing secular music.

Would you go back to gospel music anytime soon?
Terry G:By God’s grace; it has been prophesied that God is going to use me to prophesy to multitudes, and I think I’m already doing that in a way, but when God calls me at the right time, I will go for it.

You need to make certain clarifications about your personality. Perhaps, due to your energetic stagecraft and lyrics, some people perceive you to be an addicted Indian hemp smoker?
Terry G:Well, these things are attached to secular music. Everybody doesn’t do it but I think 99 percent of us are seen doing it. The fact about life is that everything has control.
There is a reason for everything. If you ask me, it doesn’t have to do with the fact that people say I take Indian hemp. It has to do with the talent that I have. If I take Indian hemp and I’m not creative or naturally intellectual, it won’t work. Besides, if you look at it, I’m not the only one.

How do you write your songs? Where does the inspiration come from?
I was born in the ghetto; in Iju area of Lagos. I will say my environment inspires me. I’m a very down-to-earth person. I relate with the people you don’t expect, just because I have an agenda. I’m a businessman and my market strategy is the streets, so I have to relate with the street to get my content. Basically, my environment inspires me.

You are adjudged one of the best beat makers in Nigeria. How do you feel?
I have been a producer even before I started singing. I play all the musical instruments, so I’m full of sounds and creativity. I don’t write my music, the beat is the inspiration behind my freestyles and songs. This is because I make the beats before I sing, so my beat inspires me.

You don’t write your songs?
Terry G:I have never written any of my songs. I only do freestyle. You can ask anybody close to me. It is an imagination, a magnetic memory. The environment itself helps.
You just need to decide on the topic first, then everything in your memory comes to play. You can use creative words that are not existing, add them to the ones that exist to make a good sound.

What’s the meaning of Akpako?
Akpako means scope. Interviewing me now means you’re nacking your akpako. Your akpako is journalism. As a lawyer, you nack your akpako when you’re in court. My own akpako (scope) is music. So, if I’m referring to a girl that ‘tile make I nack you akpako…’ that means I’m making sexual conversation with her.

You've been quite consistent since you came into the industry. How challenging is it to maintain this level?
Terry G:I don’t have challenges. I just try to improve myself; I don’t compete or copy anybody because my style of music is different from what other people do. I try to be versatile in my own way.

You have done much collaboration. Which of them is your favourite?
Malonogedege with Timaya. That was a very good sound; it gives you life when you listen to it. I love the song and I appreciate the fact that I did it with Timaya because he is my good friend and my son’s godfather.

You also did a song, Crazycally Fit with Tonto Dikeh. How did that happen?
You know that Tonto Dikeh is also controversial. When she dropped her first two singles, everybody was criticizing her, but I like the fact that she has a market that other female artistes in Nigeria don’t have. She has this crazy female swag that will make her relevant for a long time.
I was the one that called her on phone after making the beat. She came and we killed it. I’m happy that the response on the song is good. Music is not all about talent, its about the producer’s ability to discover the potentials of the artiste and give the necessary support.

What was your experience with her in the studio?
Terry G:It was cool. She listens to instructions and always ready to work, and that is very vital. The problem we have with some artistes in the studio is that they don’t listen.

I guess she is one of the most difficult artistes you have worked with?
Terry G:Not really. The song we did was good.

She didn’t sing off-key like she did in her debut singles?
Terry G:No. Every good sound comes from the producer because he has the right to monitor the production and voicing. So, if it is not good to go, he won’t let it out. So, you can’t blame the artiste, you blame the foundation of the song. Everybody can sing; they just need a good producer to coordinate them. It is a step-by-step stuff.

Some artistes have in the past accused you of stealing their beats or songs. Can you clear the air?
People often make this mistake; you don’t say someone stole your beat when it is not your intellectual property. A production belongs to the producer, and he has the right to give his beat to anybody. If I give you a free beat from my heart and you stab me in the back, I don’t have to be violent because there are ways to kill your market. That is why I deliberately do some stuff. I’m a human being.

Where do you place yourself in the industry?
Terry G:I’m at the top of my game and I wish to be better everyday.

What does your daily routine looks like?
Terry G:I said it earlier on that I’m more of an indoor person now. If I’m not working in the studio, I will be with my son at home. I don’t go out anymore.

What’s your definition of fashion?
Terry G:Fashion means presence; it is value and determines how people rate you.

You pierced several parts of your body. Don’t you get uncomfortable with it at times?
You wouldn’t want to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. The only way it might inconvenience you is when you listen to the negative things people are saying. So, if you want to do something, do it the way it pleases you. I’m comfortable with my piercing.

If you have the privilege to change something about yourself, what will it be?
Terry G:I love driving, and I deny my driver of his duties most times. Maybe I need to change that. But talking about my person, it can’t change. You can’t change what brings food to your table; so far it is not negative.
How has piracy affected you?
Terry G:It doesn’t affect me. If you are wise in Lagos, you will know that you need to keep dropping hits so that you can get shows and make your money. I don’t depend on album sales, so I concentrate more effort on releasing good music that will keep me relevant.

Are you fulfilled?

Terry G:Yes, I’m fulfilled. The Bible says that whatever you say with your tongue shall come to pass, so I’m fulfilled.

LOS ANGELES (AFP) – Singer Chris Brown was ordered to perform 1,000 hours community service Friday after his probation stemming from the 2009 assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna was restored, officials said.

The 24-year-old R&B star’s ‘Chris Brown’ probation was revoked last month after he was hit with misdemeanor charges following a minor traffic accident.
Those charges were dismissed on Thursday and on Friday Los Angeles Superior Court judge James Brandlin restored his probation.
The reinstated probation order was conditional on Brown completing 1,000 hours of community labor, in addition to the 180 days he had already been ordered to perform.
Judge Brandlin said Brown would be put to work in one of four programs — highway clean-up, beach clean-up, graffiti removal or a program run by the probation department.
The order came after prosecutors questioned whether Brown had in fact completed the initial 180-day period of community service he was sentenced to. They cited “significant discrepancies” in his work record.
However the singer’s lawyer contested the allegation, saying prosecutors “chose to ignore the actual evidence in an effort to find someone, anyone, to say he was not working.”
In 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting fellow singer Rihanna earlier that year on the eve of the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Aevin Dugas a 38-year-old social worker from Louisiana, holds the Guinness Record for the largest natural afro hairstyle in the world, with a circumference measuring an incredible 4 feet 4 inches (1.32 m).

The hairdo has taken over 14 years to grow to its current proportions, and although Aevin is really proud of it, she admits sometimes it can be pretty problematic.

She was inspired 14 years ago by an old photo of her mother sporting an afro and she traded her straight hair for afro which just kept growing and in 2010, she set a new world record for the world’s biggest afro, becoming an inspiration for black women to ditch relaxers and go natural.

Aevin’s hair draws attention wherever she goes, and while most people just ask her if it’s real, some can’t resist touching it to see for themselves.

Rosalia Mera, a seamstress who co-founded a clothing store in northwestern Spain that grew into Zara, one of the world's largest retail chains, has died at the age of 69. She was Spain's richest woman.

Inditex SA, the owner of Zara, issued a statement Friday confirming her death but did not provide more details and declined comment via email. Spanish media widely reported that Mera, a major stakeholder in Inditex, suffered a stroke while on vacation on the Mediterranean island of Menorca and died Thursday night at a hospital in La Coruna, the city where she was born in Spain's Galicia region.

Mera founded the first Zara store in 1975 in La Coruna with her then-husband, Armancio Ortega. He is listed by Forbes as the world's third-richest person.

They were originally going to call the store Zorba after the "Zorba the Greek" movie, but there was a bar with that name a few blocks away from the site, so the letters on the Zorba sign were rearranged to spell out Zara.

The store specialized in low-priced versions of more expensive popular clothes, and the formula turned into a success for store openings across Spain and then internationally.

Mera held 6.99 percent of Inditex stock, according to company filings at the Madrid stock exchange, and her fortune was estimated by Forbes at $6.1 billion. The magazine says she was the world's 195th richest person but was in the No. 1 spot on its list for "wealthiest self-made woman."

She also became known for voicing opposition to the current conservative government's plans to change Spanish abortion laws. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is a close ally of the Catholic Church on moral and social issues, and has repeatedly said he will revise Spain's abortion law, though he has not yet tabled any proposals. The previous Socialist government passed a law allowing 16 year olds to get abortions without parental consent. Mera said that law is "just fine" and "should be left as it is."

In addition, she opposed government cutbacks in the name of austerity affecting Spain's cherished education and national health care programs.

Besides the Zara chain, Inditex also owns retailers Bershka, Masssimo Dutti, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Uterque and Zara Home. There are 1,763 Zara stores around the world, and Inditex has a total of 6,058 stores and 120,000 employees.

Two suspected quack medical doctors were on Friday paraded by the Lagos State Police Command at its headquarters in Ikeja, southwest Nigeria.

They were arrested for operating an unlicensed hospital at Omotoba Street, Unity Estate, Iba, Lagos.

The suspects, 39-year-old Gabriel Onyema Ihejiero, and Nwankwo Stephen, employed as doctor by Ihejiero, were arrested at a hospital named ‘Care Hospital’ located at 1B Omotoba Street, Unity Estate, Iba-Lagos.

According to the police, on 26 July, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Damian Okoro, who is the Area ‘E’ Commander, Festac Town, received a distress call that some fake doctors were operating in Iba area and they were arrested.
In his confessional statement, Stephen said: “The MD (Ihejiero) is my friend. He came to me for an advice, then I suggested to him that we should start a hospital business and he agreed.

“I only worked for two years in his hospital before I stopped. I was trained as an auxiliary nurse in Ondo State for two years.”
The police said their investigation revealed that the two suspects never attended any medical or nursing school and they have conducted over 80 deliveries for pregnant women in the hospital.

While corroborating the Police report that they have carried out series of surgical operations, Stephen said: “I have delivered over 90 pregnant women and they were all successful.”

In his own confession, Ihejiero, who claimed to be selling bond paper in Ghana before he began the hospital business, said: “I own the hospital located at Iba. Though I am not a medical doctor, I employed a doctor with two years medical experience.”

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ngozi Braide, while speaking at the parade, advised the public not to patronise unlicensed hospitals and quack doctors.

Showbiz comes with a lot of challenges, has it been easy for you?
Earlier on, it was tough when you open the papers and magazines and people are talking about you. It got to me. But with time, I had to develop a thick skin. With age comes confidence and confidence comes with wisdom. It now becomes what you think of yourself and what your family thinks about you. I got a tough skin over the years. People would always talk about you. It doesn’t happen to you alone. It comes with the territory. There are some people who they don’t even get to hear about. For them to talk about you and even ‘cook’ up stories, it then means you are special. I see a silver lining when I hear stuff about me. I always move on

This is the dramatic moment home office investigators put a stop to a sham marriage just minutes before the bride and groom exchanged their vows.

Nigerian Chinedu Amadi arrived at Leicester Registry Office to marry a complete stranger - Hungarian national Szilvia Basco-Porkolab, who donned a traditional white wedding gown for the occasion.

But unbeknown to them Home Office investigators who were tipped off by a suspicious registrar and lay in wait in a side room for the pair to arrive.

Amadi, a Nigerian student, paid £5,000 to an unknown 'fixer' to arrange the bogus wedding with an EU national to allow him to stay in the UK.

After their arrest, investigators discovered Basco-Porkolab was involved in an earlier sham marriage to another Nigerian, Ikechukwu Egbe, at Greta Green in May 2011.

Basco-Porkolab, 38, living in Leicester, admitted two counts of conspiracy to breach immigration laws relating to sham marriages, and was jailed for 34 months.

Amadi, 27, of Livingstone Road, Gillingham, admitted a similar count and was jailed for 20 months.

Egbe, 34, of Narborough Road, Leicester, was convicted of one offence of conspiracy, and jailed for 30 months.

A fourth person, Rubin Durgos 39, admitted conspiracy, in the intended sham marriage of Amadi. She was to be the bride, before Basco-Porkolab stepped in at the last minute.

Durgos, a Hungarian, of Forest Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, was jailed for 20 months.

A tradomedical practitioner in Lagos has claimed that a 20-yearold woman delivered a tortoise and a baby girl in his clinic. The woman, Rasheedat Raimi, said she had carried the pregnancy for 10 months before she eventually delivered the baby girl and the tortoise at a trado-medical clinic on Mutairu Street, Off Ijegun Road, outskirts of Lagos. She was in pains as she talked to P.M.NEWS about the strange delivery. “I came to Yakafi for prayers because of theterrible pains I was having in my stomach. What they alwaystold me was that I am alright and would deliver at the right time,” she added. “This is amazing, but true. She did not register with my clinic for ante-natal. When she came here with her people, she was in pains, we didn’t know she will deliver here.

She only camehere for Tahajjud prayers (night vigil). We were praying when suddenly she started wriggling. She was in pains. “I touched her stomach and observed something strangemoving inside her. It was a strange thing. I thought it wasa lizard but it turned out to be a tortoise. The tortoise tore the placenta into pieces and came out. The baby came out afterwards. “She fainted after the delivery and we had to reviveher with prayers. This is what God can do. She had several scans but nobody told her that she was carrying a tortoise in her womb. God is great,” he declared. Ladies and Gents, Our technology can not see evil spiritual matters(works). For Monday Obinnah, the 15th of June, 2013 was a day he would always remember for the rest of his life because it was a day he had a close shave with death. Today, he is still battling with the pains of an acid bath allegedly inflicted on him by a professional colleague and some hoodlums.
Obinnah who is now in pains narrated his ordeal to Saturday Vanguard, amid sympathizers who thronged daily to console him.

The middle aged man said he is an employee of an advertising firm that is based in Lagos with special attention on outdoor advertising.
According to him, “I am a marketing officer and North Central supervisor of ‘Ahaa Media’ and we specialize in outdoor advertising which include the mounting of billboards across the country.
”On that fateful day, I travelled to Makurdi to supervise and monitor our billboards in the town, but to my chagrin, I saw that one of our authorised billboards located on Otukpo road, close to Sev-Av Foundation Headquaters had Hero larger beer illegally advertised on it without due authorization.
“I made enquiries as to who posted the advertorial to no avail. I had no option but to climb the board in an attempt to remove the advertised image.
“While I was doing that, one Chidiebere Okugo who claimed he is the sales representative of the firm whose product was advertised on the board, mobilized hoodlums who assisted him to attack me while I was still hanging on the billboard.

“They used dangerous weapons including sticks, stones and what I later realised was a chemical to force me down, but I refused because the way they confronted me, I was afraid for my life.
“And in their desperation to get me down from the billboard, they struck and cut down one of the electric power lines that was close to the billboard which fell on me and almost electrocuted me.
“At that point, I fell down and they descended on me, but I was lucky to have been rescued by a team of Police men from the command headquaters. It was at the police station that I noticed that parts of my body were peeling off.”
He said after making his statement at the station, he was granted bail and rushed to a hospital in Makurdi for first aid treatment and afterwards transferred to the National Hospital Abuja and later to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital where he underwent plastic surgery and is currently battling with pains and life threatening burns on parts of his body.
Meantime, Saturday Vanguard gathered from the First Information Report, FIR, filed at the Police station by the lead accused, Chidiebere Okugo, a sales representative of the firm whose product was advertised on the billboard, where he claimed that the advert billboard belonged to his company.
He also claimed that he noticed the burns on the victims body when he was taken to the Police station. “It was at the Police station that I noticed injury on the man’s body.
“I noticed that his leg and other parts of his body were peeling off and I do not know how to describe it.
“As a sales representative of my company covering Makurdi only, my work does not cover billboards but to my knowledge, the billboard in question is our company’s billboard.
“The branding department of our company told me that they are the people who mounted the billboard. I will be surprised to know that my company does not own the billboard in question.
“I am not aware that the billboard is being claimed by another company. Though I was aware that the victim was rushed to the National Hospital Abuja, I did not order anybody to beat him up”, Okugo said.
Meanwhile, a Makurdi based legal practitioner, Terfa Akosu has taken up the matter in pursuit of justice for the victim.
Akosu told Saturday Vanguard in Makurdi that he opted to take up the matter againt the accused and his firm because “the treatment meted out to the victim was dastardly, brutal and beyond comprehension.
“That the young man is still alive today is just by the share grace of God and we strongly believe that justice would be done in the matter to serve as deterrent to others ,” Akosu said.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday expressed delight over the creativity of a 25-year-old Nigerian, Jessica Matthews, who invented a power-generating football called SOCCKET ball.

Matthews, who is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Uncharted play, was at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to present the ball, which can generate three hours of light from 30 minutes of play to Jonathan.

She also presented an energy-generating skipping rope to the President.

While congratulating her on her creativity and innovativeness, Jonathan said he was impressed that Matthews, who trained as a psychologist and economist, developed herself in the field of science.

He described her feat as a proof of the quality of human resource present in Nigeria.

The President said the invention was useful as a major tool that could be used to mobilise young Nigerians and encourage them to think more deeply.

Matthews said, “Sometimes power is lost and you say what can you do to solve this situation and I saw my cousins and everyone playing football, playing with everything not even with football alone.

“I say this is amazing and they can rival Messi. If we can take this kinetic that is generated here and use it to address the issues that we really have; kinetic energy is used for windmill, why not the ball?”

She said although the items were already on sale in New York, she had not started making them in Nigeria.

She, however, said when they would be made available for sale in Nigeria, the cost would be equivalent to what people pay for a solar inverter.

Minister of Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, said the Federal Government was looking at the possibilities of manufacturing the items in Nigeria and see how to make them cheaper for Nigerians.

He said, “Jessica is a Nigerian, she studied at Harvard University, she went to Business School and actually taught herself Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. So, she is an inspiration to every Nigerian especially our children in Nigerian universities. This is a product not only for Nigeria, but a product made in Nigeria by a Nigerian and for the world.

“The second thing is that the product is actually versatile, it is not just about the electricity you see, you can use it to charge your mobile phones, for fans, so there are so many things for which it can be used.”

A Nigerian nurse in the United Kingdom is facing a probe for having sex with his former patient, a conduct considered to be unethical.
He was said to have had sex with a patient after romancing her over a meal at a tapas restaurant while she was being treated for a mental breakdown, a tribunal heard Thursday.
The Daily Mail reports that Kenneth Ngobele quizzed the woman, a manic depressive, about her sexual history and her attitude to Nigerian men, it is alleged.
Ngobele later took the woman to a La Tasca restaurant and told her “You know I want to f*** you”, the Nursing and Midwifery Council was told.
The patient met Ngobele while she was being treated at Basildon Hospital in Essex following a mental breakdown

The vulnerable woman initially kept the alleged affair secret but eventually revealed all to health workers at a clinic.
Ngobele was working as a deputy charge nurse at the time of the allegations in 2009.
It is claimed he met up with the woman after she was discharged from the hospital and twice visited her home for sex.
He also threatened to release confidential information about the woman to her employer unless she met with him, the panel heard.
In a statement, the victim said: “Kenneth questioned me quite heavily about my sexuality, the number of sexual partners I had had, whether they were relationships, whether I had introduced them to friends and family or whether they were one-night stands.
“As we were walking, he asked me what kind of men I liked, questioned my sexual preferences and was being quite flirty.
“I was in a really bad way and suicidal at the time.My stay at the hospital was two nights. It looked to me as if Kenneth was avoiding work as much as possible and then trying to come onto me.
“Kenneth came into the female-only television room to come and sit with me.
“Kenneth said, ‘I’m a nurse, I can go anywhere’.
“Kenneth stated that he had been studying me and he had noticed that I interacted with men very well.
“I remember feeling really freaked out by that statement.”
Just as the woman was due to be discharged, Ngobele told her she would no longer be his patient and they could meet safely, she claims.
He also wrote down his phone number in her diary.
“He was staring at my body in a really sexual way,” added the woman. “Kenneth said that as soon as I get out, he wanted me to text him.”
When they met up for the first time, she said she was feeling “really manic”.
“One way it expresses itself is I become promiscuous,” she explained.
“I knew that sex was on the cards.”
Describing their meeting at La Tasca on June 14, she said: “Kenneth paid for everything. I remember him saying, ‘You owe me’ and said it in a sexually aggressive way.
“As soon as the door closed, it became really aggressive.”
The pair then met up again on July 7 and again had sex but the woman then began refusing to answer his calls.
During an internal interview with trust bosses, Ngobele at first admitted some of the allegations.
But soon “his assertions began to shift, with him creating an alternative scenario”, the panel was told.
Tope Adeyemi, for the NMC, said: “It is submitted that all of the registrant’s conduct was sexually motivated and constitutes a gross breach of his privileged position.”
Ngobele was sacked following the investigation. He denies all the charges he faces at the NMC hearing.
If found guilty of misconduct he could be kicked out of the profession.

The youngest person to ever become pregnant and give birth was only 5 years old! Lina Medina was born on September 27th, 1933 in Ticrapo, Peru. At age 5, her mother, Victoria, brought her to a hospital because her stomach was increasing in size.

Her parents originally thought Lina was possessed by evil spirits, but upon examining her, Dr. Geraldo Lozada found she was approximately 8 months pregnant. A month and a half after her diagnosis, on May 14, 1939, Lina gave birth via caesarian section to a baby boy.Lina was able to become pregnant at such a young age due to a rare condition known as precocious puberty, basically, an early onset of séxual development. Most girls begin showing signs of pubérty around 10 years old.

The majority of boys tend to go through puberty starting around the age of 11-12. People with precocious puberty tend to begin puberty around the age 7.

Shockingly, according to her mother, Lina, on the other hand, began having menstrual cycles at age 2 ½ and her breasts were developed by age 4. When the doctors examined her at age 5, she was found to already have fully mature sexual organs.

Lina Medina’s son, Gerardo, was named after Lina’s doctor and grew up believing that his mother was his sister. It wasn’t until the age of 10 that he found out who his mother really was.

He died in 1979 at 40 years old of a bone marrow disease. Lina never revealed the father of the child, nor the circumstances of her impregnation. According to a 1955 article reviewing the case, done by Luis Leon of the Associated Press, “Some pointed out there were frequent festivities celebrated by Indians in Andean villages, like the one where Lina was born. These often ended up in orgies in which rape was not uncommon.”

While this is hardly something one would want to hold the record for, for a so many reasons, it would seem that Lina is unlikely to lose this record any time soon (or one would at least hope so!) So, for now, the current record for youngest human being to give birth to another is 5 years, 7 months, and 17 days, which means she was probably impregnated a month or two before her fifth birthday.
