ASUU Strike Continues
President of the Academic Staff of Universities (ASUU), Dr Nassir Faggae, yesterday dashed the hopes of students and parents as he vowed that the union will continue its over one month strike, until the government meets all it’s demands.
Faggae, who spoked to journalist after leaving the sub committee meeting headed by Bauchi state Governor Gabriel, stated that the union would completely deal with all the challenges confronting all the universities.
When asked if ASUU could not call of the strike for the interest of students, he said no. He queried “Didn’t we do that in the past? How many times did we call of strike, people just go back and sleep. Is that what you want us to do?
Continue strike in this country? Don’t you think for once, it is better we come out and things are done right before we call off strike? I think that is better for the country”.
But Governor Suswam , chairman of the Federal Government NEEDS Assessment Committee for universities , assured us that the face-off will be resolved in two weeks time.
“ The meeting went on well, we have made sub sequential progress in the negotiation. I would like to say that we are almost there. The sub committee that I set up could not completely finish the work and because there is holiday in between, we have shifted the meeting until next week Tuesday.
“Based on the commitment and seriousness of the negotiation, we are hoping that we will complete this in the next two weeks.
“Because of the holiday in between, we would have been able to finish negotiation. Hopefully, we would agree on all the issues and if the issues agreed upon by the two parties, I’m very optimistic that the issue would be addressed next week. I believe once we address the issue, the strike will be called off”, he said.

Usher’s son, Usher Raymond V, is hospitalized after a scary pool incident where the 5 year old boy was almost drowned. The kid got his arms stuck in the pool drain under water when he was trying to retrieve his toy.
Report that reached us, says two men who were working in the house rushed out to help when the boys Aunt and a family maid were unable to free the kid’s arm in the drain.

This is another level of entrepreneurship. A French woman posted an offer on a French website to breast to breast feed babies of homo sexual male couples for £100 a day, just weeks after same sex marriage law passed.
The post was verified by the website as genuine and legal. Read what she said:
“I am a young mother in perfect health, a trained nurse of 29, and I am renting my breast to milk-feed infants”. The woman is based near Paris and promised up to 10 breast feeds a day.
The chief executive of the website, Alexandra Woog, said their staffs has contracted the woman and had no doubts about her identity and seriousness of the proposal, nor the legality of the service proposed.
Woog told News men “Our legal advisers are sure of this; it’s illegal in France to sell maternal milk. But this is a person proposing service, not selling milk in flask”.

Cultists machete female NYSC member in Bayelsa
A 26 year old National Youth
service corps (NYSC) member serving in
Bayelsa state, Miss Folakemi Akinbode, is now struggling for her life at Niger
Delta University hospital, Okohobiri, following the brutal attack from suspected
cultist.
The wicked act occurred, Monday, at
about 8:30 pm at Onunagha community in Yenogoa local government area of the
state.
Miss Akinbode, an indigene of Ondo
state, a graduate nurse of Madonna University serving at NDU teaching hospital
was returning from work when she was ambushed by two suspected cultists along a
lonely push path leading to her lodge where she resides.
The victim’s right hand has almost
chopped off by her assailants who are now at large.
We learnt that but for the hand she
raised to defend her self, the attackers could have killed her as the machete
was aimed at head.
Miss Akinbode was said to have ran
to her lodge with the injuries shouting “HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP” after which she fainted and
lost consciousness due to excessive bleeding.
A source told our correspondent
that “though she had been given three pints of blood, she is yet to recover consciousness”.
Due to the brutal incident, the
traditional ruler, Chief Apoli Godgive Ibolou XI, was said to have ordered
immediate setting up of vigilante group in the community with a view of fishing
out the perpetrators of the crime.

Guy Molested His Girlfriend And Uploaded Her Pic On The Internet Because she Refused to hook up with him.
This kind of incident occurs frequently,
so am not surprised. Here is what
happened this time.
The young girl involved is Thelma,
a 23 year old student of Lagos state Polytechnic. She admitted they are just
friends but not lovers as the guy
claimed and that whenever they met they usually greet and discuss casually but
not to the extent of having sex. She also said that whenever he talked about
sex, she turned him down.
When asked what took her to his
house, she said he collected her memory card, so she went to his house to
collect it. As soon as she entered the room, he locked the door.
“He ordered me to take off my
clothes while he was still holding a knife on his hand and I obeyed him. He
brought out his phone and started video-taping me while I was UNCLAD and
threatened that if I refused to made love with him, he would post it on the
internet”.
In the process of trying to collect
her memory card, the guy executed his motive.
The 27 year old man, Henry has been
arrested and charged to Magistrate court in Lagos state for molesting his girl
friend and posting Unclad image on the internet.
According to the police, Mr Henry
deliberately and unlawfully, with criminal intent, intimidated, annoyed, and
violently threatened the victim with a knife and had sex with her there after. And
also displayed her unclad photo on the internet.
According to a source, the bad guy,
pleaded not guilty. The magistrate, Mr P.E Komonanya granted him bail in the
sum of N20 000 with one surety in the sum and adjourned the case to September 4,
2013.
MAN KILLED HIS SON FOR N1 MILLION NAIRA
This unfortunate incident happened last week in Ganji Suburb
of Gombi local government of Adamawa state. Baffa Alti, 24, cattle rearer lured
his biological son, Bubba to the farm, killed him and cut his head off.
Adamawa state police has arrested the suspect alongside his
partner, who gave account of how the incident occurred.
According to the police, Alti Alhaji, father of the suspect
reported the case to the police regional head quarter that the suspect took his
son to the farm and did not return with him.
A source said when
Alhaji asked where he left his grandson; he replied that his son is on his way
home.
“After a while, the grand father
and some other relatives of the family went to the bush to find out what
happened”
“It was after searching the bush
they discovered the dead boy, which had being beheaded and dumped in the bush”
Ibrahim said.
He also said when the suspect was
arrested he confessed that he committed the crime.
“When interrogated, he confessed
and pointed at a village head as the one that ordered him to bring fresh human
head, at a cost of N1 million”. Ibrahim said
He said the district head promised
to give him one million naira if he delivered.
When asked why he used his son, he
replied that when the village gave him the order he lost his mind.

Jealous Lover Burns His NYSC Girl friend to death
This is incident happened on the 19th of July,
2013. Two female corp members serving in the community secondary school Iddo in
Asari-Tolu LGA of Rivers state were burnt beyond recognition by the victim’s
boy friend who attacked them in their room.
One of the victims, named Amara Okey Winifred, is a batch C
corps member, while the other’s name could not be ascertained.
Initially, the attackers were thought to be some PPA (place
of primary Assignment) community boys and students from Winni’s PPA, but the
story turned out differently.
It turned out that Winnie was burnt to death by his boy
friend because he claims she was cheating on him with another corps member. A
corps member who stayed with her in her hostel narrated this story
“He thought she would be one in the room, he locked the door
from outside, poured petrol and light the fire. Unfortunately, a friend of
Winnie was also in the room. She is a Batch B corps member who just left the
camp some weeks ago”.
In the process of burning the house, the boyfriend burnt his
hand that was how he was caught.
“In camp she was always scared whenever he called and she
missed the call. Didn’t know the fool was like this. Four years relationship
fah … Because for hostel that time everybody go dey wonder why she they fear
am”.

Chris Brown Turns himself in.
Now, a source just revealed to me that Chris Brown has finally turned himself in yesterday. He arrived at 2 pm on Monday, August 5, a day before his deadline would expire. He was booked and released about 45 minutes later.
The police station visit was apparently a trade for him to
avoid being arrested. The singer has pleaded guilty to the hit and run charges
and had since escaped two charges filled against him by the LA district
Attorney’s office.

Woman With No Womb Delivers A Baby Boy
After 8 years of not having a child, Wife of the general
overseer of Omega power ministries, Port-Harcourt , Rivers state, Evangelist
(Dr) Nkechi Chinyere, gave birth to a baby boy.
Her conception and delivery by medical experts has been
described as a miraculous one after she was diagnosed to be without womb years
ago.
According to the nation, The baby boy arrived on Tuesday ,
July,23 around 10:10 am, in the United state of America, and weighed 10 LBS, which was recorded as the heaviest
baby of the day in the hospital.
This is a great sign that God is alive.

Zuriel Elise Oduwole,
an amazing 10 year old of Nigeria-American
heritage, has made history as the youngest person ever to be interviewed
in Forbes.
The interview with the award wining documentary film maker, conference
speaker and writer is featured in the August 2013 edition of Forbes Africa. At just
10, whiz kid Zuriel possesses amazing talent that has resulted in her interviewing
business leaders, current and past world leaders and heads of states.
They include current president of Tanzania, Mauritius and
Malawi – one of African’s only two female national leaders. Others are
ex-president Jerry John Rawlings and John Kufuor of Ghana.
Zuriel has also had one – one interview with African’s most
successful business man Mr Alinco Dangote.
She even got a standing ovation for her set of provoking and creatively intelligent
questions to Tennis superstars, Venus and Serena Williams, during their world press
conference in Nigeria.
Zuriel says she has not been granted an interview by the
president of Nigeria because he his busy with schedules but hopes to achieve
that.
Zuriel (which is Hebrew for God is my Rock) believes if she

Master Degree holder caught with Drug
The Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos have arrested
a 3O year career counsellor and alumnus of the Bolton University, United
kingdom, Arinze Ifeanyi John.
During interrogation, Arinze confessed to the crime but
blamed poverty. He said
“I came to Nigeria in June as Alumnus Ambassador of my University.
Work was at advanced stage for an establishment for an establishment in Onitsha
with parent and prospective candidates who are interested in furthering their
education in the United kingdom.
“In the process, I got an interview request in London which I
had wanted to quickly attend an continue with my assignment in Nigeria. My friend,
who assisted me with a return ticket, gave me the bag to use for my trip”.

to please understand my situation”.

CHRIS BROWN BOOKED OVER HIT AND RUN CHARGE
Singer Chris Brown has been booked on a hit and run charge
and released on his own recognizance, according to US report.
The charge stems from a minor accident in May 13, and
because he was not arrested at the time of the incident, Brown had until 6 August
2013, to turn himself in, to the police for booking.
The fine china hit maker, reported to the Van Nuys jail in California
on Monday afternoon (Aug13), where he was booked and released on His own
recognisance in just 45 minutes, according to TMZ.COM
Brown's probation relating to his assault on his girl friend
Rihanna was revoked at a court hearing in July(13) and he faces up to four
years behind bars if found guilty of the HIT AND RUN.
