‘You Damaged My Reputation’- AKA Threatens Lawsuit Over Cheating Scandal

The trending AKA cheating scandal is no longer a joke because the rapper is itching to drag the media house that initiated the rumour to court, if they don’t retract their statement.

Drama started when the Baddest rapper was spotted with popular Instagram model and vixen Nicole Nyaba at the viewing of Floyd Mayweather fight at Hard Rock Cafe in Sandton. And later, Nyaba posted a photo of herself posing in front of AKA’s  BMW i8.

Though AKA, and later Bonang Matheba, tried to shut the rumour down, many people did not believe the claims, especially because AKA reportedly had mentioned the model in his song.

Seeing that no one is believing his version of events, the rapper, through his rep Ashley Gittins, has demanded that the South African media house which first carried the news retract it and apologise by Friday, or he would be forced to drag them to a High Court for character defamation.

Here’s the statement the rapper’s rep shared with the press:
“Our client greatly values his good name and reputation. The article is both wrongful and highly defamatory of him in that it was intended, and understood by readers, to mean that he is both unfaithful and dishonest towards ‘Queen B.’

“I have asked them to retract or issue an apology and they’ve declined. They haven’t given us any evidence to corroborate what they are saying, other than to say they’ve got three sources and they haven’t said who they are. From our end, we are going to sue for damages suffered by our client, AKA. Should they further publish defamatory content on him, we will take the interdict route.”
