All You Need To Know About The ‘Money Fight’ Between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor

Finally the day is here: two of the best fighters in their respective sports go head-to-head in a boxing match expected to generate the highest ever revenue.

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor are set to earn the biggest paycheque of the careers.

                            

Although the fight has been criticized by pundits as just a crass money making venture, both Mayweather and McGregor have embraced it to show the world that each person is the best fighter in the world, period.

                          

The Money Fight is on course to be the highest pay per view event in world- 5 million people are paying upwards of $100 to see the fight, netting a cool $500 million for the organizers.

Add to that arena tickets to the actual fight that is priced at $3000 but are being sold on the black market for as high as $15,000, the fight is expected to generate in excess of $800 million.

Mayweather who retired from boxing after defeating Manny Pacquiao two years ago came out of retirement to take on 29 year old MacGregor. The two will split the purse at ratio of 70:30 in favour of Mayweather. He could earn $250 million to McGregor’s $70 million.

Holding in Las Vegas, the Money Fight will start at 10 pm local time (4am Nigerian time).
