Popular Nollywood producer and marketer, Igwe Gabosky has confirmed fears that pirated copies of award winning movie , October 1 by Kunle Afolayan may be released by pirates this week.
Kunle had earlier raised an alarm that some Igbo pirates at Alaba International Market are threatening to release the said movie into the market, a swipe that many have come to tag anti-Igbo.
In an interview with NET, Gabosky, who plays a part in the distribution of the movie through his platform, G-Media, condemned the Igbos for getting upset at Kunle Afolayan’s over his rant on Twitter but admits that 95% of pirates at Alaba are Igbos who are threatening to release the movie this week.
‘I have been threatened by 95% of Igbo pirates in Alaba, that October 1 would be released this week.’
Gabosky, whose real name is Gabriel Okoye, is the brain behind Nollywood classics such as Nneka the Pretty
Serpent , T ycoon , Beyond the Vow, Picadilly , Wedlock of Blood and others.
