Shocker: Gun Man Opened Fire At Florida State University

Three students were wounded
after a shooter opened fired at a Florida State University library on Nov. 20 in Tallahassee, Florida. The shooter was shot and killed by police before being able to continue such a senseless act of violence.

The shooter shot three students during the rampage, CNN reports. Two victims were rushed to the hospital, with one student being in critical condition. The third student was treated and released on campus.

Campus officers were on the scene to apprehend the situation. The gunman was killed after the officers asked him to drop his handgun and he opened fire at the them. There’s no word yet on whether or not the gunman was a student at the university.

“If there’s any positive news we can take from this occurrence is that the victim count was not greater,” said the city’s Mayor-elect Andrew
Gillum.

Thankfully, the university sent out a text students that warned them to seek refuge and stay away from all windows. Students pushed tables and book shelves together to stay safe.
