The Oscar-winning superstar was already rumoured to be a potential Lex Luthor, before Joaquin Phoenix emerged as the most hotly tipped contender for that role in the latest rumors.
The only confirmed roles for the 2015 all star movie are Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman).
