6 Chibok Girls Are Dead, Others Married Off To Boko Haram Commanders

 

Amina Ali Mkeki, one of the Chibok girls infamously kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014 has been rescued near Sambisa Forest, government sources and activists have told SaharaReporters.

Amina was found in the Kulakeita area in the company of her Boko Haram husband, and was immediately rescued by vigilantes who handed her over to Nigerian troops in Damboa.

She reportedly told the soldiers that six of the girls have died, while the others have been married off to Boko Haram commanders, and that they were all still in Sambisa Forest as of the time of her rescue.

Our sources say Amina was breastfeeding a baby during her rescue, but it was not immediately clear if the Boko Haram commander caught with her was the father of the baby.

The development, the Nigerian military said in a text message by Col. SK Usman to SaharaReporters that "Falmata Mbalala" was rescued by Nigerian troops.

SaharaReporters has confirmed that Amina is from Mbalala community, near Chibok.

The rescued girls is currently in transit on her way to Maiduguri the Borno state capital where the state governor is expected to receive her from Nigerian troops.

Kano State Government Sends Condolences To Family Of Students That Died in Road Accident

Below is a statement issued by the Director of Press, Usman Bello:

“On behalf His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje his Deputy and commissioner of Education Prof Hafiz Abubakar condoles with the families of the students who are involved in accident yesterday along Lagos – Ibadan Express way while on a mission to represent Kano in the National Quiz Competition in Lagos.

Information available indicated that 3 students of Unity School Karaye and 3 from Kano Kapital as well as a driver and coordinator of competition lost their lives in the accident.

Arrangement is being made to airlift the corpses back to Kano for burial later in the day.

Meanwhile Families of the affected students have been duly informed on the unfortunate incidence and the arrangements being made.

May Allah grant the souls of the decease Jannatul Firdausi and those who sustain injuries speedy recovery.

Nigeria Is ‘seriously’ Broke – Lai mohammed

The Federal Government has raised the alarm that Nigeria is broke and her economy shrinking.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said this on Wednesday while fielding questions on the new fuel pricing regime shortly after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The minister said the hike in the price of petroleum from N86.50 to N145 "is not about subsidy removal. It is about the fact that Nigeria is broke. Simple!...The economy is shrinking."

He also restated the government's complaint that there was no foreign exchange to import fuel.

Two Headed-Snake Captured By An American Citizen

A snake with two heads has been captured in the USA by 42 year old Jason Talbott, who found the snake living in the wild, before photographing it and taking it into captivity. Although it looks a bit beastly, the snake is harmless and Jason admitted that its bite would not be enough to break a human’s skin.

Jason said: ‘It is estimated that it is 1 in 10,000 but it is hard to know a true number as they are wild and elusive animals and survival rate is very low.

I ’m a massive fan of creepy crawlies and snakes – I’ve photographed hundreds of them and received a fair few bites along the way. Fortunately they were non-venomous ones.
‘The snake had been found by a few of my friends in the wild and when I heard about it, I jumped at the opportunity to get some photos. ‘What was funny about the snake was that the two-heads had different personalities.
One of the heads was very aggressive and kept trying to bite at objects. ‘But the problem was, because they both shared the same body, the aggressive head needed the other one’s cooperation to move. It was quite funny to watch, really.’
