How Kim Kardashian made $4.5million from her sex tape

Kim Kardashian enlisted the help of porn baron Joe Francis to net her $4.5million when her sex tape was released.The tape was shot with her then boyfriend Ray J in 2003, but turned the leak into a triumph rather than a disaster when it was released four years later.
The Sun says a new biography by Sean Smith claims:

'Until she called in close pal Joe to advise her, all she wanted to do was make the tape go away.She soon realised that suing the company was not going to help make the video disappear, so Joe helped to arrange a meeting with his friend Steve Hirsch, the boss of Vivid and Ray J. 'Kim and Ray J received around $300k each for the tape and they would also receive a cut from the videos sold or downloaded. Kim duly dropped her lawsuit against Vivid.'

While Vivid was making $1185 a month from online sales, at one point, according to TMZ, Ray J made $90k in one three month period while Kim made $50k in one month alone.

Most notably, the video catapulted Kim to fame, with her net worth said to be a huge $85million.

Her Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality show has proved to be very successful, netting the family a cool $100million dollars for the next four years of the programme.

Kim is said to be taking home $15million of that amount, adding a $5million bonus should her rapper husband Kanye West also make an appearance.

Asked if he thinks he'll compare all his future relationships to what he had with Selena, he said:

"Yeah. You get scarred from certain things. Even like -- I'm kind of seeing this girl, right? I'm shy about doing or saying certain things, and then I say it and it's not even a problem. 

"And I'll remember when I couldn't.... You're just scarred and you don't do something because in your last relationship they'd freak out, but [the new person is] just like, 'What are you talking about?'

'He was burned alive': Paul Walker's daughter Meadow files lawsuit against Porsche

Paul Walker was still alive when the Porsche he was a passenger in caught fire after the horrific crash that took his life, according to a lawsuit filed by his daughter Meadow.

The 16-year-old, whose father died in 2013, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche claiming that the 2005 Carrera GT Walker was riding in had specific design flaws that contributed to his untimely demise.

According to the lawsuit  obtained by TMZ ,Meadows lawyers claim when the Porsche Carrera GT crashed and broke apart, Paul's seat belt "snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis," and trapping him in the passenger seat.
The suit claims the fire didn't erupt for 1 minute and 20 seconds after impact, but Paul was helplessly trapped.  When the fire broke out, Paul was still alive.  The suit alleges, "Paul Walker breathed soot into his trachea while the Porsche Carrera GT burned."

Law enforcement said the cause of the crash was speeding 80 to 93 MPH - at the hands of driver Roger Rodas. But the lawsuit says Rodas was only going between 63 and 71 MPH when it careened out of control. And the suit alleges the car would never have careened if it had a proper stabilization system.

Meadow's lawyers claim Porsche knew the Carrera GT had "a history of instability and control issues." 

Meadow's lawyers say the defect could have been corrected with a Porsche Stability Management System (PSM), which prevents swerving. They say the company intentionally decided not to install PSMs in the Carrera GT, even though it was standard in many other models.

The suit raises other issues with the car, including claims there were deficient side door reinforcements and fuel lines that did not adequately protect the car from erupting in flames.
Meadow's lawyer, Jeff Milam, tells TMZ,

"The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn't belong on the street.  And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas."

This is a funny report by Punch regarding Iyanya's album launch in Abuja. Fans of Iyanya, are said to be currently displeased with him because of the treatment they allegedly got at his album launch in Abuja over the weekend. Those who bear the most grudge are the people who bought a table which cost about N400,000.

 

These VIPs placed a call to Saturday Beats stating that they paid that much for a table because they expected the best of hospitality only to be served groundnuts and Hennessy.

One of the guests said, 

“When I told my wife that I got a table at Iyanya’s album launch, she was ecstatic because the singer is one of her favourites. It came to us as a rude shock when we were served groundnuts and Hennessy. I mean we paid N400,000 just to be given groundnuts?”

 When Iyanya’s manager and co-owner of the record label, Ubi Franklin, was contacted, he didn’t hide his contempt for Saturday Beats. He said that they never promised that anything would be put on the table for guests.
