Wizkid Set To Leave EME Record Label

Wizkid revealed the album he will be releasing will be his last project on the E.M.E. label. When asked on his reasons for leaving he explained it as growth and an opportunity to focus on his Starboy entertainment label.

When speaking on the relationship with the label he said that they are still family and will continue doing business together as Banky W, Tunde and Segun Demuren, who groomed him, were all his big brothers and there was no love lost between them.

Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo's son shot by Boko Haram

A son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was on Monday shot during a battle between the militant Islamic sect, Boko Haram and troops near Michika in Adamawa State.

It was gathered that Lt.-Col Adeboye Obasanjo led a platoon of the army that took on the insurgents at Baza near Michika.

A highly reliable security source said that Adeboye was injured in the leg by the insurgents during the encounter. He is an army engineer at the 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State. The source said that the former President’s son was being treated at a military facility which identity was not revealed for security reasons.

“He was shot by Boko Haram in the battle to reclaim Michika from the insurgents. But there is no cause for alarm as he is responding to treatment,” he added.

Former X Factor contestant Simone Commit suicide

American actress and singer Simone Sherise Battle who was a finalist on The X Factor in 2011 reportedly took her own life on Friday, September 5, 2014 after she was found dead in her Los Angeles home.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Simone was found hanging on a rod in the closet of her bedroom. Her body was found by her boyfriend.

The 25-year-old singer, who rose to fame on the US version of ‘X Factor’, was a singer in the girl group ‘G.R.L’ (a reboot of the Pussycat Dolls). 

‘I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It’s such a loss.' Simon Cowell, X Factor creator, wrote on his twitter page “Rest in peace Simone”.

Battle’s autopsy has not been completed yet, L.A. County Cororner’s Office says. The Autopsy will be carried out today (September 7, 2014).

 Meanwhile, the singer’s father says his daughter’s suicide has ‘stunned’ him as Simone never for once showed any signs that could raise major worry.

Why P-Square Do Not Live with their Wives

The world went AWOL when performing twins, P-Square revealed on a radio station that they do not live with their wives.During the radio programme, the singers also hinted that they would move to their separate houses in December, 2014.

However, many of their fans assumed that all was not right between the brothers and their wives, considering that just a few months ago, there were reports that the duo were on the verge of breaking up. However, when Saturday Beats contacted the singers’ publicist, Bayo Adetu, he denied that the brothers had any problems with each other.

But another source in the singers’ camp told Saturday Beats that the brothers do not live with their wives at the moment because they are constantly in the studio working on their sixth studio album. Already, the first three songs they released from the album are enjoying massive airplay.

“You know that P-Square are hardworking people and when they are doing their music, they strive for the best. Most times, they are in the studio because of their new album and that is what they are concentrating on,” the source said.
