We are glad to share that Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, Nigeria’s Minister for Agriculture has been named Forbes African Person of the Year. He was bestowed the award because of his remarkable reforms in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
Akinwunmi beat Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, Jim Ovia, Chairman of the Zenith Bank Group, Strive Masiyiwa, founder of Global Telecoms group and South African mining magnate, Patrice Motsepe.
He was nominated for his vision in making Nigeria a self-sustaining food-producing nation, which hopes to register over 20 million farmers by 2015.

OJB Jezreel set to return to Nigeria on Saturday
OJB Jezreel will return to Nigeria this weekend after spending close to three months in India where he underwent a successful Kidney transplant operation.
The producer-singer’s ‘right hand man’ Nomoreloss confirmed that ‘Jigga’ will land in Lagos on Saturday, December 7, 2013.
‘ He’s coming on Saturday, we don’t know what time yet though‘, Nomoreloss said.

Exclusive: Burna Boy banned from UK, to leave record label soon
Julging by the continous disagreement between Burna Boy and his Record label, its safe to tell you all he will leave his record label Aristokrat Records at the end of 2013.
The star whose real name Damini Ogulu signed with the record label in 2011 is looking at launching his own company at the start of 2014.
Burna has made this clear with Aristokrat even though the news of his departure has not reached the public.
A few weeks ago, the dark-skinned Port Harcourt bred act hinted at leaving the label.
‘ Change is about to happen. I know #BBG will stick with me no matter what. Watch out for future announcement. #BBG ’.
#BBG refers to his newly formed crew ‘ Burna Boy Goons’. The tweet was deleted moments later.
It was recently Abel's Team confirmed Burna Boy signed with Aristokrat in July 2011, released two mixtapes ‘ Burn Notice ’ and ‘ Burn Identity ’ in April and November 2011 respectively.
He then went on to drop the mid-tempo hit record ‘ Like to Party ’ in mid-2012. With two other successful singles ‘ Tonight’ and ‘Run my race ’ , Burna rose to fame, making a name for himself.
We are told that problem started when his debut album ‘ L.I.F.E ’ dropped in August 2013. Burna Boy wasn’t pleased with the way the label handled the marketing and release of the album.
Contrary to reports earlier published, Burna did NOT get a N10m upfront payment for the album. The artiste feels the label should have done better – probably with a high budget album launch, major campaign etc.
‘ He can’t be told anything to do, he’s a big boy right now. He won’t just listen anymore, the label are frustrated with his actions’.
We also discovered that Burna has moved out of the house provided for him by the label in Lekki Phase 1 and relocated to house in Chevron Estate also in Lekki, Lagos. He has extricated himself from them and now handles his career with a former label employee who now only answers to him (Burna).
In another news, We are told that while in the UK back in 2010, Burna Boy was arrested by London Police for allegedly being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death. He was tried as a minor and sent to jail.
After 11 months, he was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’. But Burna is said to have disobeyed authorities and travelled back to Nigeria where he signed a record deal with Aristokrat.
He later travelled back to the UK but was arrested at the airport and deported to Nigeria. He is currently barred from the UK for the next 15 years.

Manchester City star,Toure, who has scored 13 goals for club and country this year, was the choice of the BBC’s global audience.
He held off competition from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon and Borussia Dortmund), Victor Moses (Nigeria and Liverpool, on loan from Chelsea), John Obi Mikel (Nigeria and Chelsea), and Jonathan Pitroipa (Burkina Faso and Rennes).
Toure was presented with the award at Manchester City’s Carrington training ground on Monday.
“We are pleased for Yaya Toure that he has finally won the BBC African Footballer of the Year on his fifth nomination for the award,” said BBC Africa’s current affairs editor Vera Kwakofi.
“This shows the high esteem in which he is held by lovers of African football and the respect the fans have for his exploits for club and country.”
Toure now has the chance to complete an awards double having been selected among a 25-man shortlist for the African Football Confederation (CAF) African Footballer of the Year for 2013.
Wizkid Set To Release New Album

What is wrong in someone being free, doing his or her job? Some actresses would want to act a role but they will be like, I don't want to be criticized. I don't believe in all that.

How Etisalat Reacts to Comedian Julius Agwu's N100m Lawsuit
Etisalat Nigeria has
reacted to Julius Agwu's seven-day ultimatum that it should compensate him with the sum of N100 million or risk legal action over "alleged unlawful and unjustified blocking and/or swapping" of his Etisalat GSM phone number 08189555555.
According to PM News, an e-mail from Etisalat's Public Relations Manager, Chineze Amanfo, has been sent in response to the issue...
Hear him;
"Subsequently, upon a report made at our office by Mr. Agwu that he is the owner of the line and did not authorize anyone to swap it, our customer care executives promptly restored the line, as well as the airtime lost during the swap process.
"Etisalat Nigeria is currently carrying out an internal investigation into the SIM swap incident and will refer the matter to the appropriate agencies for further
investigation as may be necessary.
"We wish to assure the general public that Etisalat Nigeria is committed to the
protection of the rights of its subscribers and to continue to provide value adding services to its customers.
"We will spare no effort to unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged unauthorized SIM swap while encouraging our customers and the general public to protect their personal information at all times," the e-mail said.
Psquare won’t spend Christmas day with family
Psquare will not be spending Christmas with their family, as they will be ending the year with a world tour.
The Pop stars will be touring three different continents including a Dubai stop on Boxing Day, December 26, 2013. Before then, they will hit Amsterdam on December 14 and Niger on December 21.
