Chidi Mokeme Returns as Gulder Ultimate Search 10 Host

Nollywood actor and TV host, Chidi Mokeme, has been approved as the host of the new season of Gulder Ultimate Search reality TV show. This year’s edition of the show started in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, on September 23, 2013, Monday.

Mokeme who anchored the reality TV show, in its first and second seasons made a stunning comeback as the anchor man last year after taking over from erstwhile presenter, Bob Manuel Udokwu.

The actor was officially announced as the host of the reality TV show, at the selection party of the Gulder Ultimate Search 10 finalists which held inside the New Expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, weekend, in Lagos.

Also at the event, the last 12 finalists that will scavenge the Usaka Forest of Akwa-Ibom State were unveiled.

Speaking at the event, Mokeme disclosed that he was looking forward to a thrilling time in the jungle. He also advised the contestants “to gear up for the rigorous challenges that make up the upcoming adventure, for the jungle is no place for the weak hearted.”

The list of contestants includes Dr. Edmond Umebuani Chibuikem, EtidoEma Ebong, Okike Dennis, Chapele Tracy and Brosu Anthony. Others are Ifunanya Onike Michelle, Sheidu Onozare Halima, Ijeh Peter Oseleka, Ezidi Bobby Nzube and Salako Oladimeji Olukunle.

High attention would be drawn to the identical twins Mary and Martha Adeboye. It is the first time twins to enter the Gulder Ultimate Search jungle in the reality TV’s 10 year history.

The dreams of several individuals who made it to the final selection stage were dashed; as they were deemed unfit to participate in Gulder Ultimate Search 10 for various reasons.

Why I Became a 'Policeman' – Fake Policeman Confesses

A mild drama unfolded at the Ikotun Police Division after a fake policeman rolled on the floor and cried, begging to be released.
The suspect, identified as Felix Braimoh was arrested in Ejigbo area of Lagos. A 48-year-old man said he was forced to impersonate a policeman to feed his five children and also enjoy free transportation around Lagos.
It has been learnt that the suspect wore Mobile Police trousers and a beret, when he boarded a motorcycle from Cele Bus Stop, along Oshodi/Apapa expressway, to Ikotun.
A real Police Corporal riding a motorcycle engaged the fake policeman in a conversation about his division.
Briamoh’s inability to give a proper response aroused the suspicion of the Corporal, who reportedly stopped the motorbike and confronted the strange policeman.
Just then, a Police patrol team from Ikotun Division stopped to question both men and took them to the station.
During interrogation, Braimoh reportedly disclosed that he was not a policeman.
Asked where he got the police uniform from, Braimoh said: “A friend gave them to me: the pair of trousers is a mobile Police’s, the boots belong to a Man O’ War official, while I bought the beret from the market.”

Boko Haram Leader is Alive,Appears in new video

Leader of the most dreaded and wanted Boko Haram Terrorists, Abubakar Shekau, today, Wednesday, said the Nigerian Military should bury itself in shame because he is alive.

Shekau also claimed responsibility of Tuesday, 17th September, 2013 attacks in Benisheik, Borno State where over 160 people were either shot dead or slaughtered and hundreds of houses burnt.

The then Joint Task Force (JTF) spokesman in Borno State, Lt Col Sagir Musa, had issued a statement on 19th August, 2013 to the effect that “Intelligence report available to the Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Restore Order revealed that Abubakar Shekau, the most dreaded and wanted terrorists leader may have died.

He died of gunshots wounds received in an encounter with the JTF in one of their camps in Sambisa Forest on 30th June, 2013.

“Shekau was mortally wounded in the encounter and was sneaked into Amitchide-a border community in Cameroon for treatment from which he never recovered,” the JTF statement said.

But in the latest video, Shekau who appeared in military camouflage uniform, seated and surrounded by hooded insurgents said “Here I am, alive, hale and hearty.

Sagir Musa should bury himself in shame, President Jonathan (of Nigeria) should bury himself in shame, President Obama (of United States of America) should bury himself in shame, and President Francois Hollande (of France) should bury himself in shame, Queen Elizabeth (of England) should bury herself in shame,” he said.

According to Shekau, “They said I am dead, but here I am. The world should know that I am alive and will only die at the appointed time. Everybody should be judged according to the dictates of his conscience. What I am doing is written in the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith and I will not stop. I challenge all the clerics of the world to question my deeds. Those underrating my capacity should have a re-think. I will never allow democracy to thrive.

“The concept of Government of the people by the people for the people will never be possible and will never exist. Democracy shall be replaced only by the government of Allah, from Allah and for Allah,” he said.

He said the Nigerian military will never subdue his group. “Nigerian soldiers are late. After killing many of them in Monguno and Benisheik, we have snatched their armoured carriers and Hilux van and then hoisted Islamic flags on them. We now move freely with them,” he said.

Surgeons Creates A New Nose On A Man's Forehead (See Photos)

The man in this photo is a 22-year old Chinese man called Xiaolian. Xiaolian had a fatal accident in August 2002 and damaged his nose but he failed to properly treat his damaged nose which caught an infection that corroded the cartilage and rendered the nose beyond repair by surgeons.

As a result of this, the surgeons had no choice than to create a new nose for Xiaolian on his forehead to transplant it in place of his damaged nose. The procedure was carried out at a Hospital in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. This was done by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian's forehead and was cut into the shape of a nose which was supported by a cartilage taken from Xiaolian's ribs.

Lagos state governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and rapper Jude M.I Abaga are hosting a live event called ‘Hangout with BRF and M.I on Google plus’.

In a bid to kick off his duties as the new Lagos state energy ambassador, M.I will moderate the show with BRF as host. Together, they will enlighten Lagosians on means of saving funds while conserving energy.

The online event will launch the energy conservation month of October with a theme ‘The Energy Conservation Month’. It requires an active google account for participation and will commence at 6pm on Friday, September 27, 2013.

Earlier this month, the Chocolate City artiste was appointed Lagos state ambassador for Energy. He is also the UN ambassador for the Smuggling of migrants and a Glo ambassador.

SHOCKING: Handicapped Man Rapes 19-Year-Old Bread Seller

A physically challenged man, Kundus Kazeem, has been arrested and charged  before Apapa Magistrate’s court after he allegedly molested a 19-year old bread seller in his Ajegunle home, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

The suspect allegedly lured the victim into his one room apartment at Cemetery Road, Ajegunle and with the aid of a walking stick, forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

The 29-year old Kazeem who admitted that women reject him because of his physical condition, said nothing was wrong with him except his two legs and claimed he had sex with her after they agreed on a fee and regretted that he was not able to meet the initial condition she gave him and that
he did not rape the teenager as she claimed.

He said before they went to his room, they agreed that he will pay N1,000 for the act and that he used part of the money he had on him to entertain her by buying drinks for her and himself, after which  he gave her N400. He said she became angry and went and told her parents that he molested her.

Contrary to his claim of bargaining with her, it was gathered that Kazeem asked the victim to come to his room and sell bread to him. She did not suspect anything and took the bread to him and  when she entered his room, he locked his door and threw her on his bed and used his walking stick to tie her hands, tore her pant and molested her.

The victim went home and told her parents what happened and the matter was reported to the police and he was arrested and charged to court for the alleged offence.

When the charge was read to him, he pleaded not guilty. The presiding Magistrate, Mr M.K.O. Fadeyi granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned till 6 December 2013 for mention.

Parents Sentenced To Almost 20-Years In Prison For Raping Their Two Children

(CNN) -- A Massachusetts husband and wife were each sentenced to prison Monday after being found guilty last month of raping their two adopted children.

Joseph Mayotte, 50, sexually abused his daughter over a five-year span, starting when she was 8, according to a news release from prosecutor Joseph D. Early Jr.

Mayotte was convicted in August on 11 charges -- including rape of a child aggravated by age difference -- and was sentenced Monday to 16 to 20 years in prison.


His wife, Linda Mayotte, was convicted on 19 charges -- including three counts of rape of a child -- and sentenced from 18 to 22 years behind bars.

The 49-year-old became pregnant with her adopted son's child when he was only 15, according to Paul Jarvey of the Worcester County District Attorney's Office. It was a pregnancy she carried to term, Jarvey said.

"Let them burn in hell," is what the son, now 21, said of his former parents in an impact statement read in court today, according to Jarvey.

The Mayottes, who lived in the central Massachusetts town of Northbridge, were arrested in 2009. The two adopted children -- along with the child to whom Linda Mayotte gave birth -- were adopted by other families.

"Their trust was broken by these two predators," Early's statement said. "Now, justice has been served."

China 'Unblocks' Twitter And Others

The Chinese government could be about to relax its strict censorship laws, albeit only in a small area of one of its cities.

Facebook, Twitter and other websites will be unblocked in a free-trade zone of Shanghai, the South China Morning Post reports.
An unnamed official said the move was to make foreigners "feel at home".
Facebook and Twitter have been blocked since 2009, following riots which the government blamed on social networks.
The Chinese government routinely censors the internet and blocks access to websites it deems inappropriate or politically sensitive.
According to the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) the country now has more than 591 million internet users and 460 million mobile web users.

In the instance of sensational Marvin Records superstar, Wande Coal, there is a woman who is the solid rock behind his musical relevance and that's his mother, Mrs. Omolara Ojosipe. She recently had a brief chat with Alonge Michael where she reluctantly revealed how she nursed Wande Coal to stardom.

How did you nurse Wande Coal to stardom?
It’s God . He started in the church choir when we were in Redeemed Christian Church, the source of inspiration for his career is God and I always tell him to return all glory back to God. And whatever the challenges that comes along, he should just tell God, “I have not called myself, I didn’t put myself in this position, you did so, God see me through”. So, we have learnt to rely and put everything in God’s care. It’s not any human effort but God. I am not so righteous to have such a star as a son but God has decreed that, whosoever He chooses to bless, He blesses.

How often do you see or when was the last time you saw him?
Oh! That was last month, he’s always busy as you know, he’s always engaged in his career, I have come to realize this and I cope with it but we talk on the phone from time to time.

When he was growing up; was there any trait of him becoming a star?
I am a teacher, he started from school, in any gathering he would be singing and people would be rejoicing, sometimes he would crack jokes to the bewilderment of all and sundry. But I noticed that it was affecting his education and as a teacher, I didn’t like that, you know, so I started to scold him and made sure he had good grades from secondary school. I monitored him through the secondary school but when he got to the university, there is little I could do to have control on him, so that gave him the opportunity to fully delve into his music. Till tomorrow they still see me as a wicked mum because I was so strict with them about their education. When he was younger, he was always saying that he would want to be like Michael Jackson and I always tell him, this is Africa, Nigeria, You don’t expect what works for them there to work for us here. When he started going to dance competitions and he started winning, then I knew he was destined for that and I asked God in prayer to reveal to me if music was his calling. I didn’t know it would come that early, sometimes when he was going out, I would asked God to reveal to me if he was going to make headway in music and God revealed to me that he’s made to be popular musically. That was the time he won the Hyundai from Hip Hop Awards when he had not even released any record except singles.

Briefly tell us about your name?
I’m Mrs. Omolara Ojosipe, I have been a teacher for 26 years but now I am in the Federal inspectorate section under the ministry of education. I am not supposed to grant this interview because I am in the civil service and I don’t want my face to show.
