DMX Hospitalized After Reported Overdose

DMX reportedly suffered an overdose last night that caused him to temporarily lose his pulse and stop breathing.

TMZ reports that Yonkers police found X unconscious on his back. at a Ramada Inn at about 6 PM Monday evening. According to the report, the 45-year-old rapper was lying on his back. His heart had stopped beating and he had stopped breathing. The cops successfully administered CPR and transported him to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.

According to one witness, DMX “had ingested some sort of powder before lapsing into unconsciousness" -- Narcan, an antidote used to treat overdoses.

TMZ had previously reported that X had suffered an asthma attack, not a drug overdose. Stay tuned as more details from the incident emerge.

Lil Wayne Reportedly Hit With $900,000 Tax Lien

Back in 2014, it was reported that Lil Wayneowed over $12 million in back-taxes, and sources are now claiming that the rapper owes another $900,000 to the IRS.

According to theJasmineBrand, Weezy is being tapped for exactly $868,079.89, the lien being delivered on February 1st in Florida. It's said that this particular amount is from his 2014 assessment, though it's not clear if the rapper has paid off the previous $12 million debt he previously held.

We know that he owns at least $30 million worth of art, so it shouldn't be too tough for the rapper to pay off that amount, and if he doesn't cough up the cash, the IRS could always seize some of his paintings.

Kanye West Apologizes To Michael Jordan; Says Beef Was Aimed At Mark Parker

Kanye West has taking a certain liking to twitter these past couple weeks, sounding off just about everything from his upcoming Yeezy 3 line & his highly anticipated “T.L.O.P.” album to beefing with Wiz Khalifa & trolling with us fake Rolling Stone covers, all eyes have been on Ye’s timeline, and boy was he back at it on Tuesday afternoon.

Not only did Ye boldly state that Bill Cosby was innocent, but the G.O.O.D Music CEO decided to also apologize to his fellow Chi-town air-ness Michael Jordan, for presumably referencing him in his latest freestyle “Facts.” (Yeezy Yeezy Yeezy just jumped over “Jumpman.”) Kanye says his “beef” was aimed at Mark Parker, and that he “loves and respect you [Jordan].”

Shortly after, he ironically tweeted a picture of Lebron’s All-Star sneakers, and gave Nike praise for a good well done. However, it looks like the tweet was only posted because of his close friendship with King James.

Ciara Files $15 Million Lawsuit Against Future

Ciara and Future have had a rocky relationshipsince they called off their engagement two years ago. Both have been with new partners since then, but they haven't hesitated to tear each other down when the opportunity presents itself.

Ciara has been more subliminal about her shots, but Future has come right out and said what's on his mind-- on social media and in his music. It looks like Ciara has had just about enough of Future's outspoken nature, she's reportedly filed a $15 million lawsuit against her baby daddy.

In her suit, Ciara points out a few interviews Future did where he spoke on her and Russell Wilson, including a radio show where Fewtch spoke on Russell walking baby Future in a stroller. "She probably set him [Russell] up," he said at the time. "You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts."

She also references his January twitter rant where he said, "This bitch got control problems. I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture…the fuckery for 15k a month. I jus want babyfuture that's all."

Ciara mentions in the suit that she's gone out of her way to ensure Future spends time with his son, citing 19 visitations since December 2014, some spanning two-day periods. She is suing him for slander and libel, would like all his mean tweets regarding her deleted, and she'd like to block him from speaking on private family matters regarding their son publicly again.

Ace broadcaster, Wole Shorunke popularly known as MC Murphy has ventured into hospitality business, as he just floated a new lounge in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The multi-million hangout, which is named Murphy’s Place, according to a source, is built to cater for the elites in the city.

Murphy’s place will be launched officially in coming weeks.

MC Murphy, who was formerly King Wasiu Ayindeofficial MC/hypeman, is a radio\TV presenter, compere and cross-over musician of note. He hails from Abeokuta and he is a University of Ibadan Theatre Arts graduate.

Meek Mill avoids jail time, but gets 6 more years of probation.

Things are starting to look up for Meek Mill. After a rough end to 2015, getting torched by Drake in the first half of their beef and then getting burned by a judge for violating a 9 year old parole, his luck is turning. He wisely submitted to 50 Cent’s memes, released a more well-received and timely diss track in “War Pain,” and now will avoid jail time for his parole violation. Phew.

Meek Mill originally violated his probation for submitting water instead of urine for a urine test and leaving the state of Pennsylvania back in December. However, during sentencing today the judge was lenient after listening to prosecutors, character witnesses and Meek & Nicki Minajthemselves.

The judge gave the MMG rapper three months of house arrest, during which he’ll be required to wear an ankle monitor and can only leave the house to do social work (specifically with adults). He will not be able to record any music during that period of house arrest. She also extended his probation another six years, which isn’t ideal for Meek but is better than being sent back to jail.

While on the stand Meek Mill seemed to understand the gravity of the situation, saying, “everything is riding on the line.” Maybe those bottles of water he donated to Flint really did help his cause, aside from making 50 Cent look bad.

Kanye West Hints At "New Secret Album Title"

Kanye West's album may not be titled "WAVES," or "SWISH" for that matter. 

Kanye West is always making last minute changes to his albums, as the ever-evolving tracklist for his upcoming project has evidenced. Now that the sequencing is more or less confirmed, Kanye seems to have been going back and forth on the name. 

After changing the title of the album to WAVES a few weeks back, Ye received backlash from Wiz Khalifa and others over the similarity to Max B's WAVY movement. Since then, we've seen Kim Kardashian run polls asking fans which of the suggested album titles they like best (WAVES,SWISH, or So Help Me God), but Kanye's latest tweet suggests there's a brand new name for the project.

"There may be a new secret album title," he wrote, before bragging about his tweet stats. "Caught 10,000 retweets in half a second #facts".

Looks like we won't be getting any clues on the title just yet, but with the release date being February 11th, we should have all the answers soon enough.

What inspired the production of the film at this point in time?

Having waited for something of interest for me to do to entertain my fans; having missed the craft, I did not find anything of interest. So, I figured that I had to take my fu­ture in my own hands and produce the type of movie that I want to be associated with at this point in time. I mean a film that will reflect my growth as a person and as an artiste, and also where I feel the industry should be turning towards. It is a statement in so many ways. It just felt like the right time to do it.

Does any part of the film reflect anything about Genevieve either as an individual or thespian?

That is the fact that I don’t dwell on bad situations for too long before moving on.

If you were to advice a Genevieve on how best to protect her relationship, marriage and image, what would you say to her?

I would tell her never take anyone for granted. If you love someone, don’t waste time in letting them know. Life is too short and we have to make every minute count
