Bobby Shmurda Gets A Gun Charge Dismissed

Finally, some good news for Bobby Shmurda. After the Brooklyn native and 12 other members of his crew were arrested and indicte d in a high-profile incident last December, Shmurda's attorney is now saying that one of the five charges against Shmurda will be dropped.

In an interview with Revolt, Howard Greenberg said that the “Brooklyn D.A. office announced that the gun case in Brooklyn will be dismissed in about two weeks."

The case in question stems from an incident in which Shmurda fired a gun into a crowd outside of a barbershop, and led to a "Reckless Endangerment" charge. With this out of the way, Shmurda still has to deal with charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, both of which occurred after police aided his Brooklyn residence last year, as well as two counts of conspiracy.

Tyga Is Being Sued By His Former Manager

Tyga has already had a considerable amount of trouble with Cash Money over the last few months, and now he's found himself in something of a legal battle.

According to TMZ, the rapper's former management team is suing him $4 million dollars, claiming that they are responsible for his dame and were cut out of the profit prematurely.

C&J Management says they played a major role in "turning [Tyga] from a relative nobody to a world known superstar". The team is credited
with introducing Tyga to Birdman and Cash Money.

Tyga and C&J parted ways in 2013, which would be totally fine, if it were not for the fact that the rapper reportedly fired the managers illegally (no word on the details, but we're assuming it's a contractual dispute).

So far, Tyga has not responded to the claims. We'll keep you update on any developments.

Former Chocolate City artiste, Brymo in a rather rare move yesterday, January 24, 2015, unveiled his pregnant boo with the announcement that he’s expecting a child soon although without saying anything about the mother.

Brymo, who released his 4 studio
album, Tabula Rasa in October 2014, made the announcement a few hours ago on Instagram when he shared pictures of his pregnant boo with the caption: ‘ We gonna have a baby!! Am gonna be daddy!!!!… Singing’ .

As fas as the picture goes, it shouldn’t be more than few weeks before Brymo, who departed his former label in acrimonious circumstances, becomes eligible for the title of a father. And as far as it is, he can put aside all other issues and rejoice for the blessings of an addition on the home front.

Barcelona slump to fourth in football money league as Real Madrid stay top

According to goal.com, Barcelona are no longer one of the three highest-earning clubs in the world, having plummeted down the Deloitte Football Money League in 2013-14.

The annual revenue list, topped for
an incredible 10th straight year by Real Madrid, shows Barcelona have fallen behind Manchester United and Bayern Munich into fourth place after recording only a €2 million increase in receipts on 2012-13 – the smallest gain among the top 10 clubs.

The blow comes despite the high-profile signing of Brazilian superstar Neymar in the summer of 2013, with commercial revenue having fallen by two per cent over the last two full seasons. The slump also coincides with a period during which the club was at the centre of a scandal which saw the resignation as president of Sandro Rosell.

Austin Houlihan, senior manager at Deloitte’s Sports Business Group, told Goal that the drop is a natural response to their relative lack of success in recent times.

“Barcelona is an interesting one in so much as their revenue growth, when comparing 2013-14 to the previous year, isn’t as great as some of the other clubs around them,” said Houlihan.

“But really that is a consequence of the previous couple of years prior to the period we’re talking about being unprecedented in terms of on-pitch
success.

“That on-pitch success they had three or four years ago drove exceptionally high revenue so it’s natural that not being quite as successful on the pitch has driven a slightly lower level of growth.”

Bauchi youths stone minister, others at President Jonathan's rally

According to Punch, there was pandemonium on Thursday at the Ibrahim Babangida Square, Venue of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign rally in Bauchi as angry youths pelted dignitaries at the event with dangerous objects like hammer, stones and slippers among other things.

The youths, whose source of grievances could not be immediately ascertained, destroyed some of the canopies and plastic chairs.

The ‘supporters’, who had, before the arrival of President Goodluck Jonathan and his entourage, chanted solidarity songs for the President and the PDP and marched round the venue with their drums and placards with the President’s picture, became unruly during the programme and began pelting dignitaries on the stand. 

Security operatives had a tough time dispersing the restless supporters, who had stormed the square in large in large number.

A similar incident occurred on Monday when Governor Isa Yuguda and other dignitaries were stoned at the PDP governorship campaign rally at the Darazo mini-stadium by angry youths believed to be supporters of the opposition All Progressives Congress.

The FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed, was pelted with bottled and sachet water while he was making his speech and pleading with the people of the state to vote for and support Jonathan and the PDP during next month’s general elections.

Other dignitaries, who were on the stand with the FCT minister while he was making his speech, were also stoned. Others bent down to avoid being hit by any of the missiles. The minister paused for some seconds to wipe off water from his face.

Mohammed called on the President and other dignitaries to ignore the ugly turn of events, alleging that it was the handwork of the opposition.

Violetta died on Monday, January 12, 2015 with reports linking her death to possible heart failure as her death was disclosed by a close friend and fellow Tennis player, Anastasia Vdovenco on Facebook.

Nicki Minaj To Headline 2015 X-Games

Nicki Minaj will serve as the main act at this year's X-Games in Austin, Texas.

Last year, Kanye West took the stage at the first-ever Austin, Texas-set X-Games, and continuing in that tradition, the event has asked Nicki Minaj to headline this year. Minaj promised an especially extreme performance for the occasion, telling TheWrap “I look forward to channeling the energy and spirit from the X Games into a performance Austin will not forget.”

The games are set to go down from June 4th to 7th, and will be rounded out by performances from Talib Kweli , Pennywise, and Deltron 3030 on the musical side of things.
