President Jonathan off to New York for a meeting with president Obama

The President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan today, Sunday September 21, left the country for New York, United States of America to attend the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

His spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, who disclosed this stated that the President would return to the country on Thursday after “a brief private” stop-over in London.

Abati stated that while in New York, President Jonathan would attend receptions hosted by President Barack Obama of the United States and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki Moon.

He also said the President would address the ‘United Nations Security Council High-Level Session on Threats to International Peace and Security Caused By Terrorist Acts’.

Man queues for 44 hours to buy new iPhone 6 to win back wife {Photos}

A heartbroken husband queued for 44 hours to buy the new iPhone 6 in a bid to win back his wife after she kicked him out – because of his obsession with gadgets.

Darius Wlodarski, 41, started queuing outside the Apple store in Cabot Circus, Bristol at midday on Wednesday to make sure he would definitely be able to get one of the handsets. His wife Joanna called an end to the 20 year marriage after she accused him of valuing material possessions over his family Wiltshire, decided to make the peace and spend £800 on a new iPhone for her – despite being out of work.

He was determined to keep a promise he made to her before their marriage hit the rocks and paid for the device on a credit card .

He said;

‘I wasn’t the best husband and father unfortunately. I didn’t know how important family was to me.I did so many things wrong and I want to say sorry to my wife and daughter that I wasn’t as good as I could.’Lots of people in the queue were very happy but it was different for me because of the circumstances.It took me a while to realise what really mattered – and that is my family.My wife said to me I should remember that it is now “things” that matter, that I was worrying too much about saving for things, and she was right.I know an iPhone is another “thing”, but I told her I would get her one and I wanted to keep my promise.’

I got the new iPhone for her because she wanted it. The first iPhone I bought for her, she was so happy, I was telling her for a year that she would be happy but she didn’t believe me and eventually when she got it she was happy,’ he said.

‘Now she wants the bigger screen so I got her the bigger one.’I want to say that “maybe one day you will realise that I could be…good again and maybe you’ll trust me again”, I don’t know. Sorry.

‘I just wanted to make sure that I get what she wanted. 44 hours in total – I was the first, nobody was here for another day but I did it to make sure that I got what she wanted.’ Mr Wlodarski does not expect that the gift will win her back but hopes it will bring her happiness.

In the ongoing celeb photo hacking scandal, Rihanna has joined the list of celebrities whose alleged nude photos hit the internet.

A new report claims this scandal is a continuation of the first round of celebrity leaks in August 2014.

Two alleged naked pictures of the starlet leaked onto a 4chan thread and Reddit. One photo showed a censored version of her breasts, and the second one featured her bare butt and nipple, the outlet reports.

A first wave of real and alleged photos of popular celebrities first leaked in late August 2014. Jennifer Lawrence , 24, Ariana Grande , 21, Victoria Justice, 21, and more were among the first victims. The hacker posted a list of over 100
names of celebrities he/she claimed to have personal photos of. Rihanna was one of the names on the list.

TDE’s ScHoolboy Q made a “Gangsta” entrance before performing his Oxymoron singles “Man of the Year,” “Studio,” and his verse on Tinashe’s “2 On.” He even made light of Kanye West’s recent controversy. “I’m about to get my Kanye West on and make everyone who’s even in a wheelchair get up from sitting down,” joked Q before performing “Collard Greens.”

But all eyes were on The Weeknd, who owned the night, delivering a
seductive set that included “Wicked
Games” and “Twenty Eight.” He also
performed his cover of Beyoncé’s
“Drunk in Love” and Ty Dolla $ign’s
“Or Nah (Remix).”

The tour will play Toronto’s Molson
Canadian Amphitheatre on Sept. 21,
L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 9, and
San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic
Auditorium on Oct. 10.

President Jonathan Visits Synagogue, Condoles Prophet TB Joshua

President Goodluck Jonathan has visited the Synagogue Church of All Nations, and made a promise to investigate the cause of the collapse
of the Synagogue Church of All Nations six- storey building.

While expressing condolences to the families of the victims, President assured them that Nigeria will deploy every resource needed to ensure that investigations into the cause of the collapse are treated speedily.

The President promised that he will convene a meeting with state governors to discuss the need for advice or measures that will help check the illegal erection of high rise buildings.

The President was accompanied by the national chairman of the PDP, Adamu Muazu and the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, to the site of the collapsed structure.

The building, which was being raised from its original two storeys to six collapsed last Friday. Yesterday,
another church building collapsed in Edo state.
