The things happening in Nigeria is becoming more scary every day. Two girls among the over 234 abducted school girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, narrates how they escaped from insurgent members on the day of the attack.
The two girls, who gave their names as Amina Sawok, and Thabita Walse, said they jumped out of the truck they were being transported in by sect members.
According to Sawok, it was around 11pm, and they were in the hostel when one of the men dressed in military camouflage asked them where their dining hall was, adding that the sect members took them to the dining hall and from there, they were moved into the waiting vehicles that headed towards Damboa town.
Walse, on her part said it was a long story, adding that the sect members came to their school disguesed as soldiers.
"They were dressed in military uniform and made us believe they were about rescuing us only for us to later find out that they were insurgents. When we discovered, it was already too late and there was little we could do" Walse said.
She said they became suspicious as the insurgents were shouting and behaving rude, adding that the sect members started shooting and set their school on fire. Walse added that the assailants shot the security men guarding the school.

She said she jumped out of the truck they were conveying them with when it developed a problem and they were forced to stop.
"I took the opportunity with some girls to run into a dark bush" she said.
Sawok, said she risked the escape because she has heard a lot about the bad things Boko Haram do, and how they have killed many people in the state.
"I was afraid and I became desperate. I felt getting to their camp could be dangerous for me and it would be better if I escaped. That gave me the courage to jump out. I believed that I would only get injured since it was dark and they may not know how to look for me in the bush" Sawok said.
She said the escape was not premeditated, adding that immediately one of the abducted girls jumped off the truck, they too followed.
She, however, noted that she would have loved all the girls to escape, adding that she can't celebrate because some of her friends and classmates were still in captivity and she doesn't know what they are going through now.
Sawok said she pray for her friends and classmates to be freed soonest.
Walse, who said she had no problem, assuring that she was physically strong and okay said; "The only problem I have is that some of my friends are still held hostage by terrorists".

Unbelievable: Father Beats His Daughter To Death Over Plate Of Rice
A 29-year-old father of three is in custody at the Homicide section of the Rivers State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) for allegedly beating his 7-year-old daughter to death for eating his plate of rice.
The suspect, Kingsley Ekerete, who works as a commercial bus driver was left by his wife with three children.
According to the report, the father returned home at about 7pm on April 12, 2014, hungry but found only an empty pot. He blamed his daughter, Favour, for eating all rice which he prepared before leaving for work. As a result, he has beaten the girl heavily and unfortunately she died several hours later.
It was gathered that when Kingsley Ekerete found his daughter's lifeless body, at first he placed her body at a corner of his one room apartment in Obeama, Oyigbo Local Government Area where his two other children of ages two and three respectively were sleeping. Next day, he reportedly dug a shallow grave behind his apartment and buried Favour's corpse wrapped in one of his clothes at the wee hours.
But, when the caretaker of the building, Ugwu, asked about the disappearance of Favour, the father said she died in a hospital in Umuebulu because of some kind of illness. Suspicious Ugwu asked to show him the corpse and promised to assist in providing money to the funeral.
After all, Ekerete was arrested by policemen attached to Afam Police division and later transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department.
In his statement to operatives of the Homicide section, Kingsley denied killing his daughter. He claims that she probably was poisoned by a Hausa man who sells rice.
Only after Kingsley's parents visited him at the SCID, he confessed that he killed his daughter and showed the operatives where he buried Favour's body.
