Suspected cultists arrested after invading police station to release their detained member

Bayelsa state police command has arrested some suspected cultist who stormed their Peremabiri Divisional Headquarters to release one of their members, Prince Ayibalaifa, detained for indecent assault. 
Corporal Elijah Osara, a policeman at the station was reportedly injured during the attack in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area. .

Commissioner of Police Mr. Asuquo Amba gave the names of the suspects as  Douye Koufe, 23; Wisdom Reuben, 23; Solomon Jackson, 18; Samuel Odozi, 20; Thomas Canan, 23; Andy Daves, 24; and Junior Japhter, 23.

The boys unpon interrogation all admitted to being members of the Greenlanders’ cult, except Douye Koufe, who claimed to belong to Icelanders. 

Speaking on the attack Amba said: ’’They actually rescued Prince Ayibalaifa and escaped, but they were re-arrested.’’ 📸: Punchng
