Grand Jury Indicts Rapper Mystikal on Rape and Kidnapping Charges

Mystikal has been indicted on first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, with a bond set at $3 million, KSLA is reporting.

Recall that the Danger rapper whose real name is Michael Tyler, was sought-after by the police after a woman reported an incident which is alleged to have happened on October 22, 2016. Evidence collected from the scene matched the rapper and a certain 26-year-old called Averweone Holman. Mystikal disappeared for three days, stirring worries that he may have committed suicide, until August 21, when he turned himself in.

His co-conspirator, Holman was arrested on August 18 by U.S. Marshalls, and a third person, Tenichia Wafford, who tried to get the rape victim to retract her story, fled. She was later arrested by the police.

Now, all three persons are in police custody, and have all been indicted on charges against them. Holman is being held on a $3 million bond for charges of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, while Wafford is being held on a $500,000 bond–she is charged with obstruction of justice.

If convicted of this crime, it will be the second time Mystikal would be going to prison. He had previously served six years in jail for sexual assault and extortion after a 2003 conviction. He was released in 2010.
