Chocolate City Boss Audu Maikori drops hint of Chocolate City re-union

This year, 2015 will see one of Nigeria’s leading record labels, Chocolate City led by Audu Maikori celebrate it’s 10th anniversary. And according to the lawyer and label executive, the celebration might come with a surprise re-union of artistes who have parted ways with the label.

Recall that Jesse Jagz and Brymo parted ways with the label, leaving behind Ice Prince and M.I Abaga at the label. With the exit of Brymo and Jesse, the label signed a female rapper, Pryse and a singer called Dice Alice, not forgetting that Nosa remains with Choc City.

Recently, Audu Maikori was asked if a re-union is in possible and he said: ‘Break ups and estrangements in this industry is nothing new and what is important is the essence of what brought us together which is music and as long as it is music, there would always be that togetherness. Let’s wait, there may be a few surprises very soon.

Along with the 10th anniversary, NET can also confirm to you that Chocolate City acts are currently working on a compilation album as part of the landmark celebrations....
