Nigerian Player Dies Few Days To Qualifier Match

Moses Ogaga is dead. Ogaga passed on yesterday morning while his family was taking him to Kano from Ogbomosho for further treatment of his fever. He was first admitted at a private hospital in Ibadan where he was treated for typhoid fever. He was 26.

The Nigerian football community has again been thrown into another round of mourning following the death of Moses Ogaga, one of the midfield aces of the Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan on Wednesday.  The management of the club has confirmed the demise of the player . The club stated that Ogaga died in Ogbomoso while he was being taken to Kano by his family.

Street Journal’s findings revealed that the 26 year-old footballer died of complications from typhoid fever. Street Journal gathered that he had been treated in Ibadan but  had to be moved to Lagos when the illness got worse. His body has been taken back to Idan where it was placed in a private morgue near Total Garden in Ibadan. Ogaga was survived by an aged mother, wife and siblings.

The club’s management admitted that Ogaga who joined 3SC from Jigawa Stars in a mid season transfer in 2012 contributed immensely to the club, scoring some crucial goals. He died just days after Sani Abacha, a former Shooting Stars defender slumped and died.
